Welcome to our charming 2-acre meadow nestled in East Boulder. Just minutes from town - near bike trails, shops and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains - or base camp for the adventures in Front Range. We aren't fancy, but we are convenient, cozy and safe. Gate code will be provided 48 hours before arrival. We have spots in the meadow for Tents, Motorhomes, Vans, Trailers, and Rooftop setups. The grounds are a bit sloped but we've got leveling boards (please leave them behind). We've got the world's best eggs, a few walking paths through tall wild grasses, a campfire ring, solar shower, wading pool, gas grill, a table and a lovely porta-jon (NO TOILET IN WINTER). We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out. We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!! We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter). - CLOSED FOR THE WINTER We have a wading / dog pool continually refreshed from the creek. I just built a new filter!! It’s a saving grace in the summertime. - CLOSED FOR THE WINTER We have a community gas grill - please donate to the propane fund. Please help yourself to eggs up at the coop - look for the Venmo QR and WATCH OUT FOR THE ROOSTER! The chickens free range during the day, so please MIND YOUR DOG. THE GOOD: *Easy in and out location close to town *Lots of sun *Outdoor solar shower *Cold creek water plunge pool *Fresh eggs *Good view of small airplanes *Community fire pit *Community gas grill THE BAD: *Mosquitoes... they are long gone now, but late spring is rough! *Daytime road noise *Small airport nearby *No Generators *Almost zero shade *Shower only hot when the sun shines *Pool is fed from a creek *Good Morning Rooster Please reach out with any questions you may have. Safe travels! Sincerely, Patrick and Brooke

We have a BRAND NEW barrel sauna, hot tub, grills, seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), meeting space, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and showers for campers and a wonderful trail to Betasso Preserve right from your campsite. The Fourmile Creek runs through our property along our large lawn area. Great views and you might see bear, deer, elk, moose, foxes, or even a mountain lion! Walk-in sites are just a short hike, about 100 feet, on an unmanicured trail to our platforms. We provide the platform for your tent as well as access to all of our lodge's amenities; front desk, lobby, bar & beer garden, fire pits, grills, bathrooms, shower, outdoor common areas, free wifi, etc. A-Lodge has a 7-day non-refundable cancellation policy. If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival, 50% of the total is non-refundable. Our guests love us too! Check out what a fellow camper had to say: "First time Hipcamper and A-Lodge visitor here, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re traveling to the Boulder area. The tent platforms were easy to get to and spaced far enough apart for privacy and generally a nice break from setting up a tent on a gravel pad. WiFi was stable throughout my visit and I was able to get some work done before heading home."

We are so fortunate to have the little slice of heaven that we have built our creek side mushroom, veggie and flower farm. We are building a labor of love and would love to have like minded folks joining our community by staying in Red Stripe Rhonda on the creek or our cabin on the cliff- The Little B. The 1950's Bellwood trailer could not be more charming with wood paneling, 1950's styling and positioned right overlooking the bridge on the creek. The outdoor heated shower has a view of the creek and a dry toilet. There are several seating areas capturing quaint vignettes of the farm fields, stunning views and produce. The Little B cabin boasts stunning views, terraced gardens, a hammock grove and a cozy loft. Feel free to look at our on farm events to learn, make and shop local here!

Our place is 3 miles from I-25 on a paved road with magnificent views of the snow capped continental divide including Longs Peak. Our single pull-through campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with electric (30 amp) and water hookups (there is no sewer hookup nor dump available). We have 4 acres and share the land with 2 horses, 5 goats, 2 sheep and our pet pig Maddie. Maddie is a “free range” pig who loves roaming the property and saying hello to guests. The campsite is an open space just up the hill from the barn. We regularly let the animals out to graze, therefore at anytime you might get a visit from Maddie or a goat at your front door. We are located central to Estes Park (and RMNP) , Boulder, Ft. Collins, N. Denver, Greeley, Loveland and Longmont. There is wifi available.

The best camping near Boulder with campfires guide

Where to go

Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park

Leave the foothills and head into the peaks with a visit to Estes Park, one of the eastern gateways to Rocky Mountain National Park. Inside the park, camping spots are available for tents and RVs. While hookups are not available, many sites have access to fire pits, picnic tables, and vault toilets or full-service comfort stations. The landscape provides a dramatic backdrop for rock climbing, horseback riding, and mountain biking—or whatever menu of outdoor activities you enjoy.

Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests

From Boulder, you have easy access to 1.5 million acres of national forests, thanks to the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, which offers all of the beauty of the national and state parks with fewer crowds. In addition to dispersed camping areas, the national forests have over 50 public campgrounds, with various offerings and amenities. Some allow RVs, while others are limited to tent camping. Camp Dick, Pawnee Campground, Olive Ridge Campground, and Rainbow Lakes Campground are four popular options in

Denver

If you’ve had your fill of Mother Nature’s playground, urban delights await in Denver. Camping options include both private and public RV parks and campgrounds. Chatfield State Park’s focal point is a 1400-acre lake, with views of the surrounding mountain ridges. Tent and RV camping are available, and onsite activities include fishing, boating, and paddling. Cherry Creek State Park is another option nearby.

When to go

While the Rocky Mountains offer four seasons of delights, winter camping is not for the faint of heart, as campers must prepare for freezing temperatures and deep snows, especially at higher elevations. As the snow melts at lower elevations, spring is a generally pleasant time to camp, though overnight temperatures and mountain passes are still daunting. Summer brings the warmest temperatures. A highlight of fall is the turning of the aspen leaves, which fills the forests with a golden hue.
