Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. Toast up some s’mores and warm up some hot-coco over a beautiful, crackling campfire. Remember the s’mores and always follow the “Leave No Trace” principles. There are large trash bins by the entrance. We look forward to hosting you at the Ranch! Please note: OHV’s are allowed. They count as one of the allowed vehicles per campsite and must adhere to the speed limit (10mph) and remain on established camp roads while on the property. They may not be driven from 8pm to 8am. It is strictly forbidden to ride your vehicles through the forest, meadow or off any established roads on or off property. Please research which of the surrounding forestry roads allow for your vehicle type to be driven on.  Campsites on the west side of the meadow (F, G & H sites) are partially accessed by a forestry road that does not allow dirt bikes. Horses: The horses which may be roaming the meadow during your stay are not property of Holcomb Valley Ranch. When horses are present, guests and their pets are prohibited from entering the meadow. Please do not approach, interact, feed or touch the horses. This is for your safety and the safety of the horses. Do, however, take lots of photos! They make a perfect backdrop:)

3 nights at Three Pines Cabin | Boulder Bay

We loved our stay at Three Pines, Very convenient, inexpensive cabins right in the heart of Boulder Bay, just down the street from Boulder Bay Park and the lake. Just a 15 or 20 minute walk to Big Bear central district, restaurants and activities. Our cabin had a very comfortable bed, cute accommodating kitchen, and a modernized bathroom with excellent hot water and rainfall shower head. The owners were very kind to us on booking, as they were new to the online system, and Hipcamp accidentally double booked, but the owners made room for us on an upgraded cabin at no cost. This made our 3 nights in Big Bear special for me and my daughter. Thank you Three Pines Cabins!

We had an amazing time camping at Ed’s place near Lake Elsinore! The site was clean, peaceful, and easy to find. The sunset view over the lake was absolutely beautiful, and the stars at night were incredible. This was such a great setup! We do not go camping often, so I wanted to book a spot that was between camping and “glamping”. This was that perfect inbetween! It does get pretty cold at night during the fall/winter, so make sure to pack plenty of extra layers and blankets. The campsite was very well taken care of, and there weren’t even any bugs inside the A frames. He even included a propane tank, which was great since we forgot to bring one! We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for camping near LA

We spent a rainy weekend at Camp Juniper and had the most relaxing time. Sarah was an excellent and responsive host, and there were no issues at all. The hot tub was great, especially with the chilly night. I highly recommend!
