Relaxing weekend getaway
A nice escape to get off the grid for a weekend! Our dog loved roaming around and sunbathing, the kids loved climbing the big rock mountain, and having a campfire and s'mores while star gazing was awesome! The only thing we noticed was that wasn't any sawdust provided for the compost toilet but other than that, all was great.

Great campsite that is very secluded. Was very windy though and hard to find at night. Would totally go again.

The site was beautifully secluded and immersed in the desert life. Definitely “camping/nature vibes” for sure. A few of my friends and I went for a quick trip for the weekend to get away and outdoors. It took us longer than expected to find the site once we got on the dirt road. I think having signs along the road to the camp would be VERY helpful instead of the single one on the site. Our 4wd did get stuck in sand at the site and took a good chunk of brain power and time to resolve the issue. Besides that, it was great!! Would definitely go again.

We had SUCH a good time. Thank you for sharing this space with us. The toilet was truly a magical experience (feels weird to say but very real). The mountains near by were extremely alluring and it was great to be in the desert and mountains simultaneously. You can see some civilization in the distance and we hear a bit of music one night, but we had fun walking towards it and overall everything was THUMBS UP.

Great experience!
Great experience. Private, wonderful views— picnic table! I have an AWD which made getting there a breeze. My friend had a Toyota Avalon and was able to get there slowly but safely. Directions where great and host was really communicative and awesome! There is an outhouse without a door. Not pretty but better than a ditch! I recommend bringing your own toilet paper. I would recommend this spot for sure. Oh also SHADE. There is no covering of any kind at the camp site so be sure to bring your own shade!

great
Everything was great, we liked it. but directiond were not correct or easy, make sure to get it right, we searched for 2.15 hours, then the host helped us before we were returning.
Once we were there it was great.

Great dystopian getaway.
For a last minute getaway from busy city life this campsite was amazing. In terms of cleanliness and privacy, this campsite gets a C-. There's trash everywhere. Broken glass, nails, dumped furniture. Not exactly at the site, but all around. The bathroom has no door, so you get a nice once in a lifetime experience. There's a grow operation nearby. Also you can hear thumping music late at night at early in the morning. The road to the campsite is very sandy, my adventure bike got stuck a couple of times, but my friends Tacoma had no problem.

This was a fantastic site with great views. I anticipated there being a door for the vault toilet, but we made do without. I appreciated the quick responses and feedback from the site owners.

Beautiful stay
This place is absolutely amazing if you want a private camp with an outhouse, tons of open space, no neighboring campers and a beautiful place to sit and have a campfire. The short walk up the hill just above the campsite has a view that is incredible. I would not recommend driving a car that is a sedan or does not have 4 wheel drive. One of the people we were with got stuck multiple times on the way out and it could’ve been bad had we not dug her out correctly. It also seems impossible to get a tow out there. I would definitely recommend!

Great place! A little hard to find because it's so private, but what an awesome spot.... the sunset was among the top two best of my life! Hosts were extremely responsive with all communication. Can't wait to go back.

Vehicle/Camp mismatch
I am writing this to prevent this from happening to anyone else. Do NOT come here if you have a camper or a van. The dirt road leading to and the property itself consists of very soft sand. You will not be able to get any traction! The road is rolling and narrow. We rented a van and immediately got stuck at camp. We spent our entire stay trying to leave. My husband tried to free us for the entire evening and then a tow truck attempted to save us in the morning and also got stuck. They then bailed ☹ (see photo). We could not get another company to dispatch a driver and were told by host after we were stuck "AAA will not service". In the end my husband was able to collect random pieces of wood from around the sparse property to drive on.
I am sure we would have had a better experience in a different vehicle but it honestly was a nightmare for us. The maintenance fellow may have been able to assist us (seemed very nice) but we got out before he arrived.

Not the best experience...
I guess I just expected a bit more for the amount I paid. Just felt like it was a plot of land in the middle of nowhere. The toilet was dirty and unusable, the toilet paper rolls provided looked old and soggy, and one of them was on the ground. It got super hot there, and there was really no escaping it. We pitched our tent under the shaded cover, but it wasn't much help. Lots of insects everywhere--flies and red ants during the day; moths, mosquitos, other flying insects at night. It all just became too unbearable for us, so we cut our stay short and checked into a nice hotel the following day.

Despite the massive heat wave (it reached 112!) we had a lovely experience up here. As others have noted, it can be difficult to find, but the hosts were helpful and available regarding that. The views are lovely (glorious sunrises and sunsets), and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I did enjoy having a compost toilet (we had to rescue a chipmunk out of it at one point!) and the canopy tent and fire pit were awesome. It was really great to get away from people and electronics for a while. Thank you!!

This campsite is absolutely incredible. Stayed here two times in a month because we couldn't stay away. The site is very private (although some people drive by on ATVs every once in a while). There is so much space to spread out. The sunset and sunrise are beautiful. And we could see so many stars at night. A fantastic place to go to get away from LA for a night or two.

Wanted an easy get-away for star-gazing, and got it at Camp Nada Lotta! The peace and isolation were divine, and the basic accoutrements provided were well-appreciated. My dog loved it, too, though head's up to other puppers: the desert landscape is replete with stickers and burrs, so watch your paws! Will definitely revisit when I need another dose of sun, stars, and space. Thank you, Nada Lottas!

Exactly as pictured plus a little shaded area. It was so quiet and lovely and a real fun adventure to find. We met some super cute field mice (maybe jerboa?). We will definitely be back in fall.

Charming and naturalistic campsite
This spot was somewhat difficult to find late at night, as it is a ways off of the major roads. Host provides very clear directions that are easy to follow during the daytime, so I would plan to arrive at least a half hour before sunset.
That being said, I could not have asked for anything more from such a beautiful, serene spot. The location is perfect, and provides a near 360 degree view of the surrounding areas. Watching the sun rise from such a remote area was incredible, and the sky at nighttime is truly breathtaking. If I were in the area longer, I would certainly have booked a longer stay!
