On the hillside of rural Shadow Hills in Los Angeles known as "Horse Country", most residents work in the film and TV industry in an area described as "close but a world away from the studios". With views of the hillside and neighboring horse arenas and barns, you'll forget that you're still in Los Angeles and Disney studios is a mere 15 minutes away!A sanctuary in the Valley, a well kept secret for many in the film industry, minutes from Disney Studios, but tucked away in the rural vistas of Horse Country. Chill on the private deck and enjoy cocktails in the serenity of the hillside. With breathtaking views of the sunset and sounds of wildlife. This is heaven for nature lovers with state-of-the-art dry composting toilet, heated outdoor shower, fully equipped outdoor kitchenette. I live in the main house 200' feet away. And two very sweet rescues who will come down to visit you and romp through the horse arena! ******We will need an Estimated Time of Arrival the DAY BEFORE your check in. To schedule to let you into the property and show you the way.

I was looking for a quiet place to relax and reset and this tiny cabin was perfect! I particularly loved having my morning coffee on the deck and listening to the ravens, red-tailed hawks, peacocks, and occasional whinny from the neighboring horse stables - it was peaceful and such a nice change from the sounds of the city only a few minutes away. Araceli is a wonderful host and made sure I knew my way around the features of the camp! I will definitely keep this in mind for if I need another LA-area staycation or if I need to recommend a great retreat to any of my friends.

This is a great little cabin, rustic but very comfortable, with a great AC when needed. All the amenities. I slept like a rock. Very charming spot and location. Araceli was a wonderful host. Highly recommend.

This was a sweet stop on my road trip from LA to Yosemite. Araceli greeted me even though I got in after dark, and gave me a thorough tour. I loved showering outdoors under the stars, the beautiful view in the morning, and the fact that the cabin had AC!! Truly one of the best glamping experiences.

We had such a great weekend getaway in a very cozy tiny home with beautiful scenery! The host Araceli is also super friendly and incredibly thoughtful. Definitely recommend!!!

A charming, clean place, located just the right distance from LA. The bed and bedding are very comfortable. However, you have to be okay with the dog running loose in the yard, the water being either scalding hot or freezing cold, and having to bring your own towels or borrow them—knowing that they aren’t up to par. You’re not allowed to use the house’s parking lot. The street isn’t that far away… but with all your gear… it’s not ideal. The hosts are nice, but they frequently nitpick over minor details.

Great find!!

Loved the privacy this setup provided. My husband and I were there for a night but could have done a few more. Really appreciated the setup, including minifridge, private bathroom and shower (bring towels). It was very convenient to Hollywood, about 25min by car.

Very comfortable

This is a great spot for a single or a couple wanting an upgrade from tent/car camping. It was very comfortable, and Araceli was great! Easy to find and accurate description. If you are not ok with constant peacock noise, this location may not be the best choice for you.

I had a really nice stay at the cabin and really enjoyed the privacy, comfort of having everything I need during my stay, and I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. walk down the street toward Pony Barista and saw some peacocks 🦚 roaming. It’s amazing! Nice, cozy bedroom with good Wi-Fi and desk for working and also a nice getaway. Love this place and will highly recommend it.

Very peaceful place. I loved the outdoor shower and the view from the outdoor seating area. Lots of birds, bunnies, and lizards to watch. Al was super helpful and welcoming.

I loved staying here - peaceful, private, clean. Easy communication with the host. I loved that it still felt campy, but I did not have to bring anything with me. Great amenities as well like an outdoor shower and little kitchen. Finished an entire book while here!!

Cozy Rustic Cabin with amazing view

This spot is a true gem. We had such a lovely stay. Waking up listening to the birds, the views were incredible, and we really enjoyed Sky the dogs company, as well as the neighbor horses. The outdoor shower was amazing and made you feel like you’re in an oasis. Al was an amazing host, I would come back any day and I highly recommend staying here.

BEST HIPCAMP!

Hi, I just wanted to leave an amazing review because Jessica’s place was unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed. I travel around the US and this has to be one of the most beautiful hipcamps I’ve ever stayed at. She was an amazing host and I love chatting with her and her husband. They seem like amazing people and I would recommend this to anybody. There are bunnies and birds and wildlife everywhere. I love how you can hear the coyotes and the Peacocks. If you want somewhere nature and quiet. This is right up your alley. Every time I’m in California I can’t wait to stay here again. She’s so sweet and taking a shower outside is unlike any other feeling. It’s one of the most peaceful and best sleeps I’ve ever got.

Fantastic Cabin and Host

I had a lovely time at Araceli's tiny cabin! It was small but nice with very well thought out amenities. They went out of their way to be a great host which helped me feel comfortable. The cabin was located in a unique area that I would probably not have thought about visiting before, but I was very glad that I did. I would definitely consider staying again if I were to revisit the area!

Serenity

Araceli is a wonderful, friendly and generous host. Her land is beautiful and provides a peaceful and relaxing place to get away and spend time with someone special, or in solitude. Her two dogs are friendly and visit occasionally. This was a wonderful camping experience with an actual comfortable bed. There is a shower with hot water, don’t forget soap and towels. Great experience and I hope to stay again in the future. Thank you.

Perfect weekend getaway

It was the perfect weekend getaway for us! Al was very welcoming and has equipped the place with all essentials. Very comfortable stay, our favorite part was hanging out on the deck with sky the sweetest dog and taking in the green views and sunset while listening to the birds around. Especially great for 1st time campe

First time camping using hipcamp and enjoyed my time here! Al is very welcoming and understanding. Dogs are super friendly and Sky is very sweet. Has outdoor shower, composting toilet, AC, extra fan, fridge, wifi, sink, electricity, and cooking utensils. Thank you for sharing your peaceful space. I look forward to visiting again!

We had a wonderful night at Araceli’s hidden gem. It’s a lovely property and cabin with everything you need. Fully equipped outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower, toilet. Super comfy bed and cabin. And a patio to enjoy the sunset. The communication was excellent. She’s a really nice person. We can recommend it 100%.

This cozy cabin in the hillside is the perfect recharge spot! The host’s directions to the property were clear and easy to follow and upon arrival you truly feel transported to an oasis. The kitchenette had everything I needed and the outdoor shower was amazing!

Perfect getaway in nature!

Alexandra’s place was so beautiful and a nice getaway from the city. She was a great host, very friendly and welcoming. I loved that we were surrounded by serene nature and at the same time we had all the amenities of a city. The outdoor shower was such a great experience. We had the opportunity to spend sometime with her cute dogs :) it was great experience and would love to come back soon
