OrangeRay, home of Pixie's Place Animal Sanctuary and Hospice was founded in 2007, when I left L.A. for the forest by the river to create, and to expand my shamanic pursuits. Being that Three Rivers was home to the socialist Kaweah Colony in the 1800's; which helped in the founding of Sequoia National Park; the area is rich in history. Poet John Muir was enchanted and inspired by this area; Walt Disney fell under her spell as well when he envisioned a "Swiss Chalet" style resort which never came to fruition. The water wars of California began right here; gold rush...right here!
"Kaweah" is the name given by the Indians for the sound the Crow makes. Three Rivers literally sits on slabs of quartz crystal, making rock hunting superb! As an energy practitioner, the quartz heightens the healing process; as well as creating an energy vortex.
My property sits on an area that was once an Indian village, and then the school house for the children of the pioneers. There was a huge Hare Krishna Colony up here in the 60-70's.
As a photographer and filmmaker, the lighting up here is amazing! The night skies literally pulsate with their celestial canopy. A great spot to sky watch as well!
The property is not kid-friendly, and is not really here for children as much as it is offered for the inner child in adults. WE ARE 420 friendly which is in opposition to most "family" landscapes....so please note this is not personal but I prefer no children xo
Also, I prefer no pets, as it disrupts the balance here with the animal residents :)

Our home is 1622 sq ft with plenty of space to make yourself comfortable. As you walk into our home, you will see our open living room and oversized couch. You’ll then see our kitchen and dining room immediately. Our kitchen table seats 4, and we have 2 barstools in the kitchen for the bar area. Down the hallway, you’ll see our first bedroom with a Queen-size bed, the laundry room, and a hallway bathroom. Then straight ahead you’ll see our master bedroom with a bathroom, a walk-in closet, and a full bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. Our home does have AC/Heating by mini split units that are all new & purchased & installed in June 2022 and are maintained monthly.
We also have 2 twin folding beds that can be set up in either bedroom or the living room. Purchased in August 2022 for additional sleeping.
Ring cameras are located on the outside of the property. No cameras are inside.
Enjoy a nice evening on the front patio, enjoying nature.
A propane barbecue is located on the front porch.
Absolutely no smoking on the property. Wildfires are common in the area. Three Rivers is a very high-risk area. Three Rivers has faced evacuation warnings in both 2020 & 2021 due to local raging wildfires.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING/FIRES ON/NEAR THE PROPERTY.
BE ADVISED - Sequoia National Park has received significantly more snow and rain than normal this year (2023), which has resulted in some damage to some roadways within the park. MAKE SURE TO REVIEW THE SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK WEBSITE FOR CURRENT PARK CONDITIONS INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING.

We had an excellent experience renting this Coleman RV. Everything went smoothly from start to finish.
The RV was clean, comfortable, and very well stocked with all the essentials—coffee maker, pans, cutlery, paper towels, toilet paper, and more. Having hot water and WIFI available was a huge plus and made the stay even more enjoyable.
Samir was a fantastic host—very helpful, responsive, and checked in from time to time to make sure everything was going well. He even let us use his grill, which was a really nice touch.
Communication throughout the entire process was strong and consistent, which made everything easy and stress-free.
I would definitely rent again and highly recommend this setup to anyone looking for a smooth and comfortable RV experience.

I had such a wonderful time camping at the Sequoia Highland! The directions and self-check-in process were so smooth and user-friendly. The staff was incredibly accommodating.
When our initial reservation had a maintenance issue, they moved us to another yurt without any fuss. They also kept me in the loop about fire pits and shared great local recommendations.
My biggest tip for anyone planning a visit: try to arrive early enough if you plan to enjoy some cooking time.
If you’re not into cooking, keep in mind that the pizza shop on the way up the mountain closes at 8 p.m., so it’s good to plan ahead.
Overall, it was an amazing experience. Definitely a 10 out of 10. I'm already excitedly trying to organize a group trip, maybe with a few yurts and a cozy cabin.

We arrived to a welcome greeting by the host and helpful guidance to the area. The room was very clean with great energy in the space and the land. Beautiful view when you step outside of the sunset over the mountains. The place felt very safe and it was very close to the park entrance which was fabulous. We used the bed and the pull out couch (which our son mentioned how comfortable it was). We had everything we needed, fresh clean towels, rugs, blankets, pillows, and coffee pods ready to use. I would definitely stay here next time I’m in the area. Thank you to the hosts for sharing your space with us.

There's a few domes, and a few tree pods - all thoughtfully laid out so you don't feel like you're intruding on each others' spaces. We stayed in a tree pod. The pod itself is super cozy, and the surrounding area is thoughtfully designed to make it comfortable for two folks.

The Squattage is the cutest little A-frame cabin I’ve ever been in! James is a great host and explained everything to us when we arrived. The lounge chairs outside were great to relax in after a long day of hiking! The location is great, close to the trail of 100 giants and the rest of Sequioa NP. Definitely recommend and hope to visit again soon!

We loved the cabin it was nice and cozy. We we're worried about being very cold in the cabin.But they had a heater, and it did it's job. Nice and toasty during the cold nights. To wake up with beautiful views and it was very quiet and we felt very safe there even when it was pitch black outside. We had 2 dogs and they had the time of there life very dog friendly and kiley(the host)went out of her way to check up use and see how we are doing 10 out 10 we loved the experience good views privacy and just being around nature.

Samir was a great host— the rv was perfectly stocked with heat, a clean kitchen, warm linens and towels. It was a close location to the park and a great stay for a weekend. I did not recognize that the water heater was controlled by the gas and you must turn it on/off outside as well as inside. So pro tip!

Weekend Trip to Sierra Ranch - Cabins & Tents
Gary was an excellent host. The ranch is absolutely incredible scenery, a perfect writing retreat! I was comfortable in the cabin I chose and I felt safe on the property.
The camp has Gary’s installation art scattered throughout, a community center with shared kitchen and a large fire pit. There’s nice trails and easy access to the creek.
Planning my next escape here as soon as I can!

What a treasure! We stayed here during a conference at the monastery and plan on coming back whenever we are in the area. Spencer was very accommodating and respectful. The yurt was cozy - although it was freezing overnight the heater kept things bearable. The environs were peaceful and relaxing.

Weekend Trip to Delilah Ridge Winery
Delilah Winery and Camp is such a beautiful and unique spot to stay! My husband and I only booked one night and I wish we could have stayed longer. Our trailer, the bathrooms, and the kitchenette were clean and well stocked! It was a chilly evening but the electric heater that Kirsten provided was plenty to cut the chill. In the morning we really enjoyed the unique planters, fish, gift shop, very friendly cat Bobbi, and the coffee shop that was only a 5 min walk away. I would definitely stay again in the future.

3 nights at 3R Ranch Retreat w/ Wifi
Staying at Samir's RV was super simple & easy! The beds were comfy, shower & kitchen were adequate, and the fireplace was a really cool addition. I especially appreciated being close to the Sequoia National Park entrance! There wasn't very stable wifi/service in the RV, but that was absolutely fine with me. I enjoyed being relatively off the grid for a couple days. Check-in & check-out for my stay were contactless so we never actually met, but Samir was awesomely accommodating & refunded my unused sauna session add-ons after check-out. Thanks!
