It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a tent/RV site or a camper as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to sit outside and read for days, enjoy campfires and eat s'mores. For more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities, such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards, bird watching, available in the area. We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slow paced life instead.
At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted, or re-used. We prefer to use products that are produced in a sustainable way and avoid those that aren't.
We are continuously reducing the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility which is an hour away. We co-opt the drive with other activities to reduce waste. We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. We use plant and planet friendly detergent.
We're based in a desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day activities and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh-water resources.
We hope you can help us maintain this greener camping!
We hope Paradise Shores Camp becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, and Twin Lakes, as well as the historic gold-mining town of Bodie, CA are all within a short drive from our place.
We're proud to know this area intimately and are excited to share the secret spots with you. The excellent hiking/running trails including the Pacific Crest Trail, thousands of miles of ATV, dirt bike and mountain bike trails are accessible right from our camp or within a short drive from here. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in remote wilderness settings.
Pet Policy
All our RV & Tent sites are pet friendly and we allow up to two dogs per reservation for a small fee. We can also accommodate up to two four-legged campers in our pet-friendly Baja or Tatra trailers for a small fee, we ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard.
Please pick up after your pup and use a leash when at the camp. Thank you in advance for your consideration and help in keeping our camp a mellow and enjoyable place for everyone.

Spring hosts an abundance of green hills, wild flowers and cooler weather. The river is higher, faster and colder. New life pops up everywhere. Baby ducks, geese, quail and beaver frequent the river. Glitter Cove waterfall is in its full glory. The nights can be cool, so come prepared.
Summer is the perfect time to swim and lounge in the river. As the days heat up, the river begins to slow and warms up to a comfortable yet refreshing temperature. New beaches emerge, just waiting to be explored.
In late summer, early fall, there is a feeling of calm. The river slows significantly but still feels amazing to sit in. You can hear its gentle flow and soothing sound as it trickles over the rocks. This is a great time time to explore the river as it is mostly shallow with some swim holes.
Most of the time it is very quiet. There is another camp down stream owned by a wonderful family. They are here a couple times per week, and also rent their camp. You may hear them having fun and engaging in target practice. The river is a shared space but it is rare to see anyone else. Noise travels in the canyon so you may hear occasional barking or other vehicles. Hearing coyotes sing at night is very common. The rarely seen wildlife includes rattle snakes, bob cats, coyotes, fox, mountain lions and bears. Don't worry, our animal friends like to keep their distance. Hope to see you soon!

Weekend Trip to Paradise Shores Camp
This was a great little camp ground on the Bridgeport Reservoir. Very quiet, clean and Sam and David were great hosts. I enjoyed the campfire on Saturday evening and star gazing was amazing, the Milky Way was viewable! I stayed in the Cape RV and it had everything I needed for the weekend. My only complaint was there were lots of small flying bugs the first two nights. There was a fly swatter but it wasn't quite enough.

We absolutely loved our stay! The tiny home is small but incredibly functional, the space is so thoughtfully designed, and the host truly thought of everything. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, even down to little things like Ziploc bags and paper plates, which were so helpful for packing food to take to the lake.
We were a little unsure about how comfortable the futon would be before arriving, but it completely exceeded our expectations! It was incredibly comfortable both for lounging and sleeping. The bathroom was also great, and we loved the design of the whole space.
The cabin was easy to find and, even though it’s in a neighborhood with other cabins, it still felt very peaceful and private.
One helpful tip for future guests: the grill outside has a regular stove burner attached to it! We hadn’t noticed that in the listing and had actually packed our own little camp burners. We forgot a lighter and were about to run to the store when we realized we could just use the burner on the grill. Super convenient!
Such a cozy, well-thought-out place to stay near Shaver Lake. We would absolutely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Paradise Shores Camp
We had a wonderful time! The host, Al, greeted us as we arrived and made sure that we had everything we needed. He provided us some amazing recommendations about the town nearby, and fun things to do in the area. The airstream we stayed in was so cute, comfortable, and was well furnished. Highly recommend!!

Great host. She took her time to introduce us to this beautiful place and also suggested above a quite creek in their property. We had a great evening at the creek and a fantastic stay at the camper. Britany was very thoughtful about arranging picnic tables under a canopy with dimmable string lights which made our evening beautiful. She genuinely cares for a good experience for her guests . Love to visit again in future and spend more time in this calm environment.

Willow Belle Ranch is a dream spot. My friends and I were the largest group they’d hosted and Britany & Peter were so accommodating. They set up an extra restroom and shower tent for us to use during our stay, provided us with enough chairs and firewood along with an extra fridge to store our food. Their space is beautiful, with horses, dogs and cats roaming around. We were even able to go horseback riding one morning! Not a bad drive to Yosemite through the south entrance, beautiful road the entire time. Can’t recommend this spot enough, got so lucky on my first Hipcamp booking!

2 nights at Indian Flat Campground
I attempted to contact Hipcamp support chat and nobody got back to me after four messages over four months. Warning there is only one outlet and that includes the plug-in for the fridge and fan. The fan does not include any heat so at night it is very cold. They do keep the bathhouse showers and facilities cleaned regularly. That was good. Staying here you have access to the pool and the Jacuzzi area which is nice. I could not find a garbage can large enough to throw away things. The area is stunningly beautiful.
