This newly-remodeled cabin is equipped with new stainless steel appliances and modern decor. The living room is open with a brand new queen-size sofa bed and the windows bring in lots of light and fresh air. Our cozy cabin is only 452 square feet of indoor space and is ideal for 2 adults. The sofa bed in the main room can sleep one or maybe two small children, but there is not much room for additional luggage and the bathroom is accessible through the bedroom.
The private back patio is huge and is a perfect place to relax, bbq, sit under the trees and enjoy a glass of wine. There are even outdoor Bluetooth speakers to enjoy your favorite music! The bedroom has a new queen bed and a large closet to store your belongings. Nestled on a half acre, the rustic yard welcomes lots of deer and wildlife. In the fall and spring enjoy the outdoor fire pit with a relaxing bench swing. You will enjoy your stay and get some much needed peace and quiet in this cozy mountain hideaway!
We are pet friendly & happy to host your favorite house-trained 4-legged friend, (just 1 please) for an addl $50 pet fee. You will need to let us know if you have a dog when you book. Dog food and food/water bowls provided.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cabin. Guests also have year round access to the private Fly In Acres Lake, with sand volleyball courts and lifeguards. The lake has two docks a sandy beach and is the perfect place to play in the water or enjoy a little floating. The water stays much warmer than the chilly nearby rivers.

The Lodge is equipped with a smart lock allowing you access via a temporary code. The access gate to the property will be left open throughout your stay.
There is no cell service in the area. Internet service via Starlink is provided as a Wifi connection. For your safety, please enable Wifi calling on your cell phone and download offline maps via Google Maps, onX, or your preferred navigation mobile app.
*You must drive ~4 miles of dirt and gravel road to reach Kowana Valley Lodge. The road is not steep but is narrow at spots and dusty when dry. Access with a 2WD vehicle is not a problem.

This place is super cute! Perfect for two people and our dog. I enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was. The state park is really close and fun to hike around, dogs have to hike the fire trails but that was ok with us. There was great communication from the host who also replied timely. We would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Indian Flat Campground
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location to Yosemite is super convenient and the facilities were better than we expected. Bathrooms/ showers/ common spaces were clean and it was nice to be able to walk next door to the hotel to have access to their pool and fast wifi. I will definitely be staying here again!!

1 night at Indian Flat Campground
This was a great stopover before entering Yosemite NP. It’s about a 40 min drive to the park entrance. This tent is within a campground and next to a hotel, so don’t expect to be solo. But because of this, there are plenty of amenities onsite including bathrooms and showers.
Even though it was 106 when we arrived, you can walk down to the river to cool off. You can also use the pool at the lodge next door.
There is AC in the tent, but you can’t run it for longer than 30 minutes before blowing the power box.

Love the amenities of the hotel restaurant and pool.
However, it was advertised as having AC in the tent and upon check-in, however, when we called for help with turning it on, they said the AC did not work in any of the Jute Tents.

We had such a special time at Kami’s cabin! The place was clean, well equipped, and communicating with Kami was super easy.
My husband and I stayed with my two boys ages 5 and 1 and the space was perfect. The area is safe and fun! We definitely recommend and will come back! Thank you Kami :)

We had an amazing weekend at this cozy cabin! From the start, Robin was an incredible host, he provided detailed and thoughtful information about the cabin, which made everything so easy. The directions were clear, and check-in was seamless. The cabin itself was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. Our dog had the time of his life exploring and lounging around … he probably enjoyed it more than we did! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-hosted getaway.

Great glamping spot! Everything was clean and had great vibes. It was a relaxing place to stay after long days in the park. It was also nice staying next door to Cedar Lodge and having perks like their restaurants and pool. WiFi worked great as well and everyone was friendly!

This is a great cabin, private and hidden in the trees, and well appointed indoors. Minutes from Calaveras Big Trees and dining, other amenities in Arnold. The cabin is cozy, quirky and came supplied with everything one could need, including wood for the delightful woodburning stove. Have stayed twice, highly recommended.

A perfect glamping experience with a cozy bed, hot showers, clean bathrooms, a washing station, and a fire pit. Watched a stunning sunset over the lake and warmed up by the fire at night. The staff was lovely and so close to Yosemite!
