Our family of 4 loved camping at Michele's property for Fourth of July weekend. Michele was super warm and inviting and there was plenty of space for everyone. The view of the lake and cliff was out of this world beautiful, it was one of our favorite family vacation by far.

Weekend Trip to Gold Wall Ranch & Vineyard

This spot offers breathtaking views that honestly rival some national parks. Michele was incredibly warm and thoughtful — she had everything set up perfectly at the campsite. Walking along the old railroad tracks, you get to enjoy a variety of stunning landscapes — from cliffs and lakes to beautiful overlooks of Jamestown. The cabin was super cozy. It was my first time camping and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction!

2 nights at Cole Ranch

We are first time campers and this campsite has set the bar so high that we will probably always try and stick to glamping. There was a full kitchen area, well stocked with everything you would need. High octane propane gas stoves, multiple grills, even coffee setup provided. The camp has bath facilities which were clean and well stocked. The icing on the cake is the boating items ( Kayak. Canoe, Lifejackets etc). I think we spent the majority of the time in the river. The river is about waist deep right in front of the camp area, but gets deeper on both sides. So plenty of safe spots for kids and adults alike. Barry was very responsive to questions/ concerns. He also allowed the kids to play with the kid goats on the ranch. We will defn look to come back next year with friends.

Our stay at Cole Ranch was fantastic, the river’s edge campsites literally right next to the Tuolumne river. Kids enjoyed kayaking, fishing and tubing all day long. The kitchen area is well equipped and they even have a refrigerator. The host Barry even took the kids to see the baby goats.

Wonderful time at Cole Ranch and would have loved to stay longer. Everything you need for a comfortable family time is available: a well-appointed alfresco kitchen (including coffee station and refrigeration), a bathroom with showers, watercraft and lawn games to borrow, and even beef for purchase. We stayed at Fisherman’s hideout and would love to come back.

1 night at Camp Electra

Camp Electra is the perfect place to hhangout after a day exploring in and around Mokelumne Hill. Your host, Ryan, has built an incredible outdoor bath house with a hot shower and a tankless toilet. The VW van makes for an easy accommodation and night outside under the stars. If you're looking for a place with a communal feel definitely checkout Camp Electra! We enjoy hanging out with Ryan's two friendly dogs, too. Pro-tip: Ryan has a second VW van available that he can drive down to the site for a little more room for groups or kids (Available as an "extra" during the booking process on Hipcamp)

To give Cole ranch a 5/5 doesn’t do it justice! It was absolutely AMAZING and so much love is put into it. We were able to use canoes and go out on the river with our dog and have such a relaxing day. To top it off, the bathrooms are pristine and huge outdoor kitchen is stocked with any pot pan and utensil you could ever need. The showers had nice soaps and shampoos and everything was gorgeous and clean. Thank you so much Barry and family for an unforgettable stay.

Ryan was super friendly, super helpful and super nice! His dogs were amazing, coming for early morning pets! The spot was beautiful, walking distance to Main Street, he went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time!
