Because of its location in a 3,200 foot elevation, it's colder than the Southern California deserts and warmer than the cold mountains above us. OUR STORY
Our farm story began in 2018, when on a whim and a prayer we purchased a rundown home and land. After years of acquiring many blisters, animals, plants and weird suntans, we eventually created the home and farm of our dreams. Our emphasis in the beginning of this journey was to create a space in which our children (along with ourselves) learned the value of producing our own food, fiber, meat and eggs. We challenged ourselves to learn sustainable and organic farming practices, and the emphasis soon changed to how can we share this journey and all that we have learned with more than just our children.
So…..here we are, sharing our hard work and ambition with you. For now, this ambition is in the form of HomeMade Jams, Jellies, Teas, Seasonings and Confections that is procured from our own organically grown gardens and trees along with HandMade fiber creations from our small Alpaca herd. I would like to be able to say that we grew everything that goes into our ingredients, but we are not that good at everything yet! So to keep in the spirit of ethical sustainability along with ensuring a high quality and great tasting product, we purchase ingredients from local organic farmers and shelf products that not only have the USDA Organic seal, but are non-GMO, ethically harvested and in some cases certified Kosher.
One day we hope to meet you and share our story with you by introducing you to the fruit trees my father grew from seed and let you feel the soft fiber of our eclectic herd of misfit Alpacas while you watch the glorious Southern California sunset touch the hot desert horizon we call home.

Newberry Springs, California is a very small peaceful town located off of Historic Route 66, also known as the "Mother Road".
It is most famously known for our groves of pistachios and the famous Baghdad Cafe which was featured in the 1987 film Baghdad Cafe. Our property happens to be 1.5 miles from the famous Baghdad Cafe which makes a quick visit to the Cafe incredibly convenient.
To celebrate our Pistachios, come join us the first Saturday of every November for our Pistachio Festival which boasts lots of vendors, food, and fun!
Speaking of festivals, if you like large firework shows in the sky, then you'll want to be sure to book a spot here every July 3rd for our big 3rd of July Festival which again, is home to lots of vendors, food, fun and an amazing firework display which we happen to have front row seats to. You won't have to worry about parking if you're already here!
Do you love celestial events? If so, you'll want to book a site here between July 17th and August 24th for the 2025 year, to witness the Perseids Meteor Shower. Our night skies are also one of the best views for many Space X launchings as well as just simply stargazing. Some people have even been able to capture beautiful pictures of the Milky Way from our humble little town!

It's so nice to "meet you" my name is Taryn and my hubby's name is Anson. We are parents to two-year-old twins, so saying we have our hands full is an understatement. Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled
all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and events and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees.
Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. This quaint little canyon is nestled between Loma Linda and Moreno Valley, and is home to about 800 free roaming wild burros that visit frequently.Recently we have added a Gazebo that you can camp near or under as well a a horseshoe pit, and tether ball. OUR STORY
Our farm story began in 2018, when on a whim and a prayer we purchased a rundown home and land. After years of acquiring many blisters, animals, plants and weird suntans, we eventually created the home and farm of our dreams. Our emphasis in the beginning of this journey was to create a space in which our children (along with ourselves) learned the value of producing our own food, fiber, meat and eggs. We challenged ourselves to learn sustainable and organic farming practices, and the emphasis soon changed to how can we share this journey and all that we have learned with more than just our children.
So…..here we are, sharing our hard work and ambition with you. For now, this ambition is in the form of HomeMade Jams, Jellies, Teas, Seasonings and Confections that is procured from our own organically grown gardens and trees along with HandMade fiber creations from our small Alpaca herd. I would like to be able to say that we grew everything that goes into our ingredients, but we are not that good at everything yet! So to keep in the spirit of ethical sustainability along with ensuring a high quality and great tasting product, we purchase ingredients from local organic farmers and shelf products that not only have the USDA Organic seal, but are non-GMO, ethically harvested and in some cases certified Kosher.
One day we hope to meet you and share our story with you by introducing you to the fruit trees my father grew from seed and let you feel the soft fiber of our eclectic herd of misfit Alpacas while you watch the glorious Southern California sunset touch the hot desert horizon we call home.

Newberry Springs, California is a very small peaceful town located off of Historic Route 66, also known as the "Mother Road".
It is most famously known for our groves of pistachios and the famous Baghdad Cafe which was featured in the 1987 film Baghdad Cafe. Our property happens to be 1.5 miles from the famous Baghdad Cafe which makes a quick visit to the Cafe incredibly convenient.
To celebrate our Pistachios, come join us the first Saturday of every November for our Pistachio Festival which boasts lots of vendors, food, and fun!
Speaking of festivals, if you like large firework shows in the sky, then you'll want to be sure to book a spot here every July 3rd for our big 3rd of July Festival which again, is home to lots of vendors, food, fun and an amazing firework display which we happen to have front row seats to. You won't have to worry about parking if you're already here!
Do you love celestial events? If so, you'll want to book a site here between July 17th and August 24th for the 2025 year, to witness the Perseids Meteor Shower. Our night skies are also one of the best views for many Space X launchings as well as just simply stargazing. It's so nice to "meet you" my name is Taryn and my hubby's name is Anson. We are parents to two-year-old twins, so saying we have our hands full is an understatement. Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled
all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and events and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees.
Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. Absolutely beautiful, peaceful, serene, and just what I needed for this past weekend. My father’s 10th year deathversay and late mother’s birthday was this past weekend. I needed solitude and to just be with my emotions. Staying at Buddha Cave gave me just that. The space I needed to just be. Shayna & the other folks I saw drive by were extremely friendly, and kind. They gave me my space but reassured me that they were close if I needed anything. I slept one night in the cave and the second night I camped outside the cave just to see more of the stars. Both places were magical. Thank you Shayna again, for allowing me to stay here. I will be back to show off your space with my family. 🩷

Would recommend and come back for another visit! Staff was super nice and on top of things. Some hiccups but well worth the price and the trip. Staff was welcoming to us and our dog. Scenery was straight out of a spaghetti western. Running water and WiFi was a big plus. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

We really liked camping and being close to town. Need a sign on where to turn in. Eventually we had a stranger tell us to “turn left at dumpsters”. We drove past and had to u turn with a large RV. No cell service should be mentioned also. It’s bare bones, but nice to be walking distance to venue and shops.

Great place to stop over on my way to Arizona. It’s very peaceful and I felt very safe as a solo female camper. Make sure to survey the area before taking your pets out. There was a very large dog that appeared out of nowhere. My dogs barked at it from inside the van, but it had no interest, so didn’t appear threatening. I only saw it once in the two days I was there. This was my second time camping at this location and I will probably go back in the future.
