This is a beautiful, 20-sided shingled cottage set on 2 acres of oak trees, with views of the San Francisco Bay through the trees. The property is gated with off-street parking. This unique guest house offers one bedroom with a queen bed, and a full size sofa bed in the living room. Windows in every room look out into the oaks, where you can see deer, squirrels, hummingbirds, and occasional rabbits. For its location, it feels incredibly private!
The cottage is just 2 miles from charming downtown San Rafael, and just 1 mile to mountain biking, hiking, and picnicking at China Camp State Park. San Rafael is the perfect location for day trips to San Francisco, Mt. Tamalpais, and all of Marin, Sonoma, and Napa counties.

Breathe deep in nature on our 10-acre property on Kings Mountain, California hillside. Our generously sized Safari-style tents offer a unique blend of comfort and adventure. We suggest you bring easy-to-prep food, drinks, warm clothes, hiking shoes, and a beanie, as it can get chilly without notice. Your designated parking space is a 6-minute walk from the campsite (downhill on arrival, then back uphill (steep) in the forest), so we recommend traveling light.
Our campsite is nestled within the same property as our charming little farm.
Our goats roam the land all day and may visit you for pets and nuzzles. They are gentle, but please do not feed or let them inside the tent.
Recharge from the day with a hot shower. Grab your fresh towels from your tent and go to your outdoor allocated bathhouses, where you’ll find an indoor shower and well-appointed restrooms. They are nicely lit and stocked with bath products.
A sink area is available for dish clean-up, and a bbq/picnic area.
KM is famous for its hiking and biking trails nestled amongst the redwoods. The closest is a 15-minute walk from our campsite, and others are within a 15-minute car ride.

Breathe deep in nature on our 10-acre property on Kings Mountain, California hillside. Our generously sized Safari-style tents offer a unique blend of comfort and adventure. The property is located 30min from SFO, 40min from San Francisco, 30min from Palo Alto, 20 min from Half Moon Bay.
Each tent is perched on a sturdy wooden platform and features a fully furnished deck, providing a cozy space to relax and soak in the breathtaking ocean (Half Moon Bay views) and forest views (Kings Mountain).
All tents include a mini fridge and a stove, ideal for light cooking, intimate fireside storytelling, and warmth during cool days.
We suggest you bring easy-to-prep food, drinks, warm clothes, hiking shoes, and a beanie, as it can get chilly without notice. Your designated parking space is a 6-minute walk from the campsite (downhill on arrival, then back uphill (steep) in the forest), so we recommend traveling light.
Our campsite is nestled within the same property as our charming little farm.
Our goats roam the land all day and may visit you for pets and nuzzles. They are gentle, but please do not feed or let them inside the tent.
Recharge from the day with a hot shower. Grab your fresh towels from your tent and go to your outdoor allocated bathhouses, where you’ll find an indoor shower and well-appointed restrooms. They are nicely lit and stocked with bath products.
A sink area is available for dish clean-up, and a bbq/picnic area.
KM is famous for its hiking and biking trails nestled amongst the redwoods. The closest is a 15-minute walk from our campsite, and others are within a 15-minute car ride.

Absolutely loved my rainy overnighter here. I wish I could have had a full weekend. Everything is so well situated inside. It’s roomy. Everything you need for a nice staycation or destination location. So close to parks, yet felt like we were in the middle of the forest. It was quiet. I was very warm and loved being able to cook easily on the induction burner. Loved the breakfast items they included. Truly cannot say enough. Absolutely will return.

This is hand’s down the best accommodations (hipcamp, airbnb or hotel) we have ever stayed at. The entire property is beyond special and the attention to detail is unbelievable. The treehouse is a perfect combo of rustic and luxury with outlets, a mini fridge, kettle, coffee maker, and incredibly cozy vibe. Miss J went above and beyond as a host, decorating both the treehouse and shared RV kitchen space with sweet valentine’s decor and gifting us chocolate samples, a bottle of prosecco, and homegrown lemons and herbs. From the incredible views to the hot tub and beautiful wood work throughout the property, this place is a special retreat. If you’re thinking about staying here, definitely pull the trigger. It’s much more than a stay, it’s an experience. We will be back!!

Fantastic stay. It feels completely tucked away in the redwoods, yet it’s only about 30 minutes from SFO and Silicon Valley. Tent 01 was very private, comfortable, and beautifully set up. The bed was cozy, the wood stove kept everything warm, and the deck overlooking the forest was the perfect place for morning coffee.
Loved all the thoughtful touches like fresh eggs, coffee, and firewood. The bathhouse was clean and close, and the whole property has a peaceful, special feel. Seeing the goats wandering around was a fun bonus.
If you’re looking for a quiet escape in nature without going far, this is an amazing spot. Would definitely come back.

Great for a romantic weekend on the coast! The views were INSANE, and it was so nice having a pizza oven, grill, and firepit. Everything was set up ahead of our arrival, and the host was very responsive. The camper was perfect for two people and very comfortable, as well. My daughter and I had a lovely time for my birthday getaway weekend. I tried to book this place for my husband’s birthday in July but it was booked and every time I check it is usually filled with. We decided to check because it is the off season and there was one spot left for a Yurt. We showed up and it was already dark but we were able to navigate to our area with the instructions. Jeremy the maintenance manager was there within a few minutes to assist us with heaters and give us the lay of the land. We had great conversations with Jon and he introduced us to the chickens and geese. My daughter enjoyed talking with Jon’s wife as well. Fresh eggs, fresh air and beautiful skies all around. We definitely will be back. If you’re on the fence about this place don’t be where else can you take a hot bath under the stars. Pull the trigger and live a little bit. You won’t regret it and if you do well you don’t belong in our circle. ❤️

Absolutely beautiful spot. Amazing view, all four spots are far enough apart that you forget about any potential neighbors, and your own private Flushing toilet and raindrop shower. The host was very friendly and helpful. Literally everything you need is there. Walk to my cabin was senic with a winding trail made out of rock steps and cut path. I do caution future campers that when packing remember you will need to watch your steps the whole way to the cabin. I recommend backpack coolers and such especially when so much is already provided for you. It took about 10-15 min when carrying items and going slower. My kiddo had a blast exploring with the goats and swing.
