Christoper has done everything possible to make sure you have everything you need to have a relaxing time or go hiking on miles of trails. The kitchen is fully stocked, all the essentials. The dome is very comfortable and is easy to stay warm in the cold months is easy to keep warm. Curious to see how it is in summer. All you need to do is bring blankets and a sense of adventure. Make sure you keep a leash on your little dogs. the vultures knew he was there and were waiting. Haha. Get ready to poop outside! It’s surprisingly relaxing. Leave a rock :) Keep the tradition going. Thank you Christopher for making such an awesome place and letting us enjoy it.

Weekend Trip to Glamping HypeDome in Campo, CA

I loved our stay here, very relaxing and just the weekend trip we needed. It was raining the day we arrived and Posey made sure we had warm blankets and towel/robe warmers when we arrived. It can get a little hot in the dome during the day and a little cold at night , but the experience was worth it. Me and my boyfriend used the fire pit every night and cooked dinner over it , and they provide so many activities to do like painting and looking through the telescope at night. Very amazing and unique experience , 10/10 recommend.

The Dom was awesome for myself and my 2 kids. I brought them for their first camping trip and it was perfect for us because I didn't need to set up anything, it was all set for us: beds, heated dome tent, outdoor kitchen, etc. We only stayed one night but that was a great start. My kids and dog were able to go adventuring on their own and found the stream. The kitchen was great, just a tip, be prepared with an alternative meal that can be cooked on the grill instead of the stovetop if it's too windy. The wind was blowing so much that it was difficult to even light it and the food took too long to get hot we just gave up and put it on the grill. The beds were SUPER comfortable and cozy. The land is beautiful. I would give myself an additional 30-60 minutes to get in and get out because it's tricky to find the Dome and pretty tricky to get back out as well (little exit signs would help). It was scary driving on the roads but we made it in a Toyota Highlander Hybrid easily, it just looks scary. Overall, my kids want to go back and so does my dog!

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilltop Lodge! The views were great and it was an amazing spot for star gazing. It was the perfect amount of privacy where you could see some of the other properties on the site and not feel completely isolated but were not close enough where you could hear people at other sites. We had some issues with the propane burners in the outdoor kitchen because of how windy it was, but other than that everything worked well. Would definitely come back and try out some of the other properties!

We loved our stay at the burning man bus!! It was perfect! The views overlooking the mountains to the ocean, a propane campfire with a glass of wine, the nice outdoor kitchen bbq’ing some steaks, the most comfortable bed with the utmost peace and quiet, and the best part of the entire stay: the outdoor hot shower while overlooking the whole valley and feeling the light breeze on a 78 degree day. Every single thing was perfect including the hammocks which were a wonderful treat. We will definitely come back for a relaxing weekend getaway. Would highly recommend anyone to stay at the burning man bus at least once. It will be a very memorable experience.

Weekend Trip to Glamping HypeDome in Campo, CA

Amazing property! Everything you could need was provided. We loved our little weekend away. It was so peaceful and enjoyed every minute of it. Host was very quick to respond and helpful with any questions we had. They went above and beyond and provided a towel/robe warmer and a portable heater for when the temperature dropped. The dome was super comfy and a very cool experience. We used the projector every night under the stars! Will be coming back :)

Weekend Trip to D&J Stables

We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 horses. Our 3 horse LQ with 12ft short wall fit once unhooked in the space. We actually set up in space 4 as that was easier access to the gate into the stable area. Very clean, secure location with access to trails. Mostly we stayed here so we could leave the horses and visit our grand daughter at San Diego State. It worked well. Hosts were very accommodating.

The Burning Man Bus was a hit! My kids loved it. It was easy to get to, private and loved the set up. I was a little nervous about the cold weather and sleeping in the bus BUT there was no issue. I brought a few extra blankets and it was perfect. The outdoor shower was clutch and you a pretty view. I highly recommend staying there. My kids are already eating to go back!

One of the last remaining undeveloped parts of Southern California, De Luz Heights is located adjacent to the Cleveland National Forest, and the Santa Margarita River (just a few miles from the campsite). On my 60 acres, there are no major roads going through or next to the property. My land is 13 miles from the Pacific ocean and enjoys a relatively mild yearly climate. Giant boulders provide topographical relief and offer platforms from which to enjoy the view of the nearby Santa Margarita Mountains. The valley views are filled with olive and avocado groves, vineyards, and horse ranches. The Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base is nearby, so you might hear some artillery in the distance on some occasions. The campsite embraces all the comforts of "glamping": a hot shower, composting toilet, beds with sheets provided, gas grill with a stovetop, pots and pans, kitchenware, a sink, picnic table, shaded deck, sofa, lounge chairs, and propane fire pit. The basics are provided: toilet paper, paper towels, purified drinking water, towels, sheets, cooking oil, etc. Campers need to bring their own blankets. I've created a network of hiking trails for especially fit hikers looking for a more rigorous hike than the nearby Santa Margarita River Trail. My trails lead through creek beds, over boulders, through rocky crags, with views of the Pacific ocean on a clear day. Hikers on my trails need to wear proper hiking boots with good traction. Sections of my trails will require bouldering with hands and feet. Expect to have fatigued quadriceps, some scrapes, and a sweaty hat brim. The campsite is accessible with a two-wheel drive vehicle; I drive a Kia Forte out there regularly. However, some tips when driving a two-wheel drive car: when going uphill on a dirt road, try to keep some momentum of about 12-15 MPH. If you stop and try to start again, your tires will spin out. If that happens, just reverse down the hill, and try it again with more momentum.

Each Boarding Corral has walking space, shaded corners, automated water feeders, soft dirt, partially sheltered sides and is in close proximity to a round pen, a small arena (turnout) and is encompassed by a small walking track. No two corrals are close enough to each other for the horses to interact, reducing the likelyhood of mishap from a neighbor. Each Weekender Corral comes equipped with the same as the above, excepting only the partially sheltered side panels, and are right next to where you will be parking your trailer or camper. Access to pool, BBQ (bring utensils you would bring camping, plates, napkins, towels, etc. There is a small sink to wash dishes (pleases only liquid down the drain) but we do not supply dishes, so paper/disposable stuff required if you plan on cooking) The pool, hot tub and outside bathroom is shared with our small family and anyone staying in the Poolside Lounge during the day if people are swimming, so you may meet some new people while staying at our place. The outdoor bathroom will be shared when other guests are at the pool swimming or hanging out and need to use the toilet, but most likely during the evening hours, it will be all yours, we always try to give a heads up if there will be anyone using the bathroom in the evening. The pool is shared, we live on the property across an easement and we have other rentals on the property. There is total privacy at the YOME. Everyone who comes to stay is friendly and chill, no drama here and not a party place, just good vibes :) We have a small farm on our property with chickens and loads of rare tropical fruits and veggies and we love to give tours and share with our guests. There are lot's of wineries in Ramona, about 30 minutes east in the mountains, as well as Julian to explore. Our glamp is great for a weekend destination or just for a rest on your way to another adventure. Although we love pets (we have a few dogs on the property), we cannot accept guests with pets at this time. share it with our guests and will be available during your whole stay if you need anything at all.
