If the weather permits, you may see and hear the many hot air balloons gliding over our vineyards and gardens. Our family acquired the land in 1990 and have planted every grape vine, flora and tree here since 2000. The grounds now enjoy mature shade trees and cypresses with resident owls, red tailed hawks, road runners and other wildlife.

This was a perfect spot, in such a pretty remote area of San Diego!! There were wineries nearby, and the camp site had a fire pit with wood, a table with an umbrella! We stayed in a little camper van, which was ideal, The host was very friendly and the skies at night were insane!! Highly recommend

This place and its host was awesome and perfectly tailored to our needs! The property was private, gorgeous, and well stocked with more than what we needed. Thank god they paved that road too because I wasn't sure if I was gonna make it in my new sedan. Beautiful views day and night, clean lodging, and pur super accomodating host made this the perfect get away. The games and firewood provided was just the cherry on top. Thanks for getting us in on such short notice!!

We had an amazing time camping here. It was peaceful and beautiful. The vibe of the entire property was great. Vicki was so kind of welcoming and we could tell a lot of pride and love has gone into this place. My only advise is to make sure you are prepared for an unpaved drive up and down the mountain - I'd recommend only taking a vehicle with higher clearance and good traction.

We really enjoyed our camping trip. The weather and views were beautiful; the tent was lovely and comfortable. Everything was set up when we got there and Lance came to check on us a few hours later. We had a great convo and shared some food. We were also visited by the sweet dogs Pala, Cozmo, and Lulu. We had a great time and will be back! Oh, we also really enjoyed the hammock!

Absolutely fantastic. Owner was very friendly and upgraded us since another site wasn't in use. There was a nearby portapotty, usable tables, firepits, hammock stands, and lighting. Overgrown trail nearby for exploring (poison oak warning). Lots of flat land for tents. Very little insect activity. Views coming down off the mountain are absolutely spectacular. Will definitely be reserving again in the future.

This spot was awesome! We stayed at campsite #16, it was at the end of the lot and was semi-private but because it was at the end and spacious it felt like our own private spot. Located a short walk from the bathroom/shower and came equipped with string lights, a picnic table, and an amazing view. Perfect for our little group of 4 but could have easily fit another couple and tent. Our dogs were able to be off leash at our site with plenty of room to play. Loved this spot and can’t wait to come back!

Awesome, quiet escape an hr from San Diego! Host Rich was incredibly nice and helpful, the property has many different camping accommodations for an incredible variety of comfort level. Was there by myself essentially and was able to explore the property l, all the camping spots looked super clean and had great views! Definitely would visit again as a solid and fun quick getaway from San Diego. The final 4 miles drive up to the campground was a little rough but I had no problems with a run of the mill Subaru Outback

Perfect place to have a moment away and connect with nature. Also perfect to escape the heat of the desert! We stayed with our child in the RV Basecamp which has a patio with a gorgeous pasture view and the shared company of the cow and some wild creatures. Just down the way you can see Mr Bucky, the horse and have a nice little chat with him. Lodging was clean and has everything you need to support your meals preparation. We enjoyed walking around and just hanging out in such a peaceful, beautiful place. Kimberly is very thorough and detailed, I appreciate that a lot. We will check out another property here and stay longer next time!

The journey up the mountain was so worth it! I arrived to solo camp and was greeted by a welcoming dog and my host! I felt so safe, well taken care of, and the campsite was gorgeous. Bathrooms were great, and I had such a lovely time. It even rained so I slept like a log. Thank you so much for a lovely camping experience!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The host was very friendly and helpful, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. It was also great to have access to a refrigerator. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, and the mattresses were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed using the pizza oven, and the outdoor shower with hot water was a really nice touch. Walking around the farm with the dog was peaceful and enjoyable as well.

Nestled in northern San Diego County, this state park offers hiking, wildlife-watching and more. The cider, pine and fir trees in the Palomar Mountain State Park provide a Sierra Nevada like atmosphere. Hike up to the Boucher Hill Summit.

It's one of the gems in the Sierra Club's "Hundred Peaks Section" and has stunning views. While at the peak, take photos of the historic Boucher Hill Fire Lookout.

An unforgettable camping experience!

The location of our tent was very peaceful and surrounded by nature. The tent was cozy, clean, the bed was very comfy. We enjoyed hiking nearby trails and spending time with the friendly animals of the farm. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially Lisa, making us feel right at home. We will miss the dogs for sure! I Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge in a beautiful setting.

Great campground. We had site 26 in Aug. There was plenty of flat space. We fit our 8 person tent with a porch and a 2 person tent easily. The area for the larger tent was in the shade all day. The rest of the site is in full sun in the early AM only. There’s a good amount of shade the rest of the day. Bathrooms and showers are clean but there is limited privacy between the two shower stalls. Bring dollar bills for converting to tokens. Almost every site has stairs. The stairs for 26 are not bad but the adjacent site 25 had tons of stairs and doesn’t have a lot of flat space. There are lots of flying bugs. It’s worse in the AM and late afternoon. A small fan worked like a charm.

Stayed here for the first time this weekend. Pros: really nice campground, cleanest restrooms I've ever seen at a campground, showers available, shaded sites, some decently private. Cons: the slope, looked like almost every site was on a slope too. You have to consider it when sleeping and cooking. Gets very cold at night, it was in the 80s in the day and mid 40s overnight. The flies were terrible. We used bug spray and candles and they were still swarming us. But the worst is that that there's not much to do unless you like to hike a ton. Would have been amazing if there was a swimming hole nearby, but with little kids it's not possible to hike miles in deep to swim. But overall a very nice campground!

Due to Covid I have been dragging my husband to every campsite I can get us into all to avoid crowds and to practice social distancing while enjoying a bit of nature this was our 4th site we visited, By far my favorite over all , the trees alone made it my favorit nice shade far far far away deep in the mountain. nice size campsite oh & the stars wow breathtaking

Too many bugs!! I would say invest in a mosquito canopy. That's what I'll do next time. At some point we had to eat in the car because the bugs kept following us.

Did a group camping trip here at the end of March: - Drove past Lake Elsinore and saw the super bloom which was really cool - Sites 1-3 are on the side of a steep hill. Fine for adults, we were super nervous with toddlers who weren't very stable. - Site 1 fit a shiftpod + 2 smaller tents, very slanty ground - Site 2 fit a shiftpod + 1 small tent, very slanty ground - Site 3 only had room for 1 10x10' tent, had gnarly steps getting into the site, and the slanty ground wasn't too bad - Site 31 was optimal - flat ground, space for multiple tents, and two long picnic tables for group meals - each site had potable water, and the bathrooms were close and clean - sites 4, 7, and 8 were in the middle, and ontop of each other

There is no service here at the campsite. The Observatory Trail is a great hike, but check Observatory hours if you are looking for a tour. They are limited.

This place is beautiful and has water, showers, and bathrooms. Some of the spots are away from the parking lot and a little feel more private. My biggest complaint here is the bugs! I understand that bugs come with camping but this is out of control. Our camping neighbors were surprised by them as well. I was coverd in mosquito and flea bites after one night and I used bug spray with deet. There were also a very persistent swarm of flies that would not go away until after the sun was down and would be right back in the morning. At least they didn't bite. If there was some type of bug control this campground would be an A+

Super rad campground, surrounded by trees and some awesome incline campsites. Felt like we had the wilderness as our backyard at our campsite. Great nature trail stemming from the campground as well. Will definitely be back!

Great mountain getaway! The observatory is nearby for a daytime visit. Lots of shade, so prepare for cooler temps even in summer time. Beautiful skies in the mountain, but you need to hike a little to see it because of the trees.

Camped here over a Thanksgiving weekend. Still amazed at how hot it gets during the day even when freezing your butt off overnight. Great spot for watching the stars - bring your telescope if you have it! Don't miss the Palomar Observatory while you were there.

Fun place to camp up in the mountains, especially if you like astronomy. There are concrete pads at some of the sites for you to set up your telescope! Nice hike from the campsite up to the observatory. And be sure to look for the giant pinecones!
