Camping on Jeff’s land was the perfect peaceful weekend getaway. Stargazing was exceptional (even w/ a bright moon). I think we caught the end of the Southern Taurid meteor showers—saw my first meteor fireball! In the past, I’ve always camped at campgrounds shared with others so the level of privacy provided by being the only campers on Jeff’s land is absolutely incredible. You take a small set of stairs down to the campsite, which is right off the main dirt road. The campsite is right alongside the road, but it’s at a lower level and never impacted our sense of privacy. I rarely noticed cars going by and when they did, they drove respectfully slow so it wasn’t very noticeable. We felt comfortable letting our dog roam freely and he had a blast exploring the grounds. The porta potty is a short ~1 min walk further down the same dirt road so it’s super close by (also the cleanest porta potty I’ve ever been in which was greatly appreciated). At the campsite itself, there is a table, a few chairs, two hammocks, a putting green (but we didn’t set it up), water tank, gas stove (we brought propane), and a gated pet pen. Note: 3 tents could fit but a large portion of the campsite is slightly sloped. We ended up moving our tent to the flat concrete slab the 2nd day which made for a much better night sleep. I also highly recommend hiking the Eagle Rock Trail that Jeff suggests. Six miles round trip but definitely worth it. We will definitely be coming back!

Great stay —very private and peaceful, exactly what my girlfriend and I were looking for, rather than a standard campsite with a bunch of campers nearby. 10/10 would recommend.

For basic camping it's pretty good. The views up and down the road are incredible. Night sky is clear and milky way is visible. Campsite is clean and has flat spots. There is animal nightlife.

We came here to view the Perseid meteor shower. It was so private and secluded. We were able to talk & listen to some light music late into the night—without bothering anyone. Although the campsite is next to a road, we only saw one car pass by. Even though the moon was SO bright, the stars were still beautiful. It was really nice to use the two hammocks provided by the host. The porta-potty was relatively clean, but there were a lot of fire ants near it. Other than that, thank you for the lovely stay, Jeff!

The campsite feels private at night and you can see every star. It’s an incredible view and Jeff is the most accommodating host with really cool extra amenities.
I loved the hammocks he provided!
The port a potty was so clean and the walk isn’t that far. Thank you for such a great time Jeff. Will be back soon.

Really appreciated my stay on Jeff's property! Had originally booked a different site with someone else that didn't work out and needed to find another spot asap, Jeff was super responsive and welcoming even though it was super last minute (literally like I booked it driving and was there in an hour 😂). The site itself was easy to find and accessible and it was super awesome to have access to a water tank and the extra table and chairs and even hammocks if you felt like setting them up! Even though it's accessible from the road and there was some minor scattered cars during the mid mornings mostly, I felt very secluded and it truly does have an amazing view of the stars with no light pollution. Would definitely rebook for a future escape from all the hullabaloo of the city. Also he noted some awesome nearby trails including Eagle Rock (part of the PCT) which looks amazing and definitely want to hit up when my knee is feeling up to it! Thanks to Jeff for a great experience!

An easy stay at Jeff’s place - our only hesitation was parking, which is a couple minutes walk from the campsite, next to the (pristine) port-a-potty. Our vehicle and belongings were fine overnight. As other reviews have said, the obvious sleeping area slopes downhill - done again, we’d have pitched our tent without stakes on the concrete pad instead. We appreciated the hammocks onsite and lovely views.

Super convenient little campsite if you want a quick nature getaway! Jeff provides more than enough amenities with tables, chairs, hammocks, a water tank, parking, and a port-a-potty. I do wish there were instructions on how to operate the water tank (unless you already know how to use an IBC tote tank, which I had to look up). Make sure the hose is at a lower elevation than the tank.
If you need a level dirt floor to stake in your tent, keep in mind that the site is partially concrete. We staked our 2-person tent in a dirt spot we thought was level, but there was still a slight incline and my gf’s sleeping bag kept slowly slipping off her mat.
The stars, of course, were amazing! There’s still a bit of light pollution in the distance, but not enough to take away from the viewing experience.
This was my gf’s first tent camping experience, so it was perfect!

We loved the privacy, and the space for our dog. Great location, nearby some of our favorite spots in the area. We typically do day trips, but it was nice to find a place where we could make a weekend out of it, and avoid campgrounds. We recommend this spot and would definitely book it again.

We loved camping under the stars at this spot! Jeff has supplied it with many basics (and some not-so-basic like a putting green) that make it a special place. Like others have said, the kennel down the road makes some noise at night, but not badly enough that it affected our sleep. We loved staying here and can’t wait to be back soon!

This is one of the best campsites I’ve been! It’s so tranquil and not cluttered like a big campsite. It allowed me to have some quality time with my family knowing I wasn't bothering anybody or vice versa. The views were amazing and using the hammocks provided to look at the stars was an experience itself. The views were beautiful in every direction, especially the sunrise. Very well kept area to enjoy the surrounding landscape and views to really soak up the camping atmosphere. The host was so impressive with communication, providing any help, and amenities provided; 2 hammocks, hanging egg chair, grill, table with 4 chairs, 500 gallon water tank with a hose, porta potty( Very Clean ), and an EZ up. Great memories! Definitely recommend to anybody wanting to get away and have some quality relaxing time. You do still have cell phone reception if needed for an emergency or calls.

This was a very nice get away. Fairly easy to get to once you come across it. I could lock my car from the campsite so its not too far. Beautiful milky way views. Bobcats calling nearby left a good level of excitment. Portapotties are clean and the pop up tent/tables
/hammock were all appreciated! No water left when i came and i had some car trouble pwrsonally but it didnt damper the experience. Ill be back!

We were here a week ago and it was perfect, but for whatever reason, this time it was overrun with yellow jackets. Every time we cooked anything they swarmed around us. No stings, but I think it’s enough of them to be a problem. Probably necessary for Jeff to put up some wasp traps around the site to get it under control, especially as we go into late summer/early fall when yellow jackets get a lot more aggressive.

It was the perfect getaway needed to disconnect for a bit. Has all the minor conveniences.like a hammock stand, gas grill, egg chair, table, fire place and ez up. Nice breeze running through the area when I was there. The views were stunning and the sound of nature was exactly what I needed. Great place and will definitely be back with friends.

This campsite was amazing! Very clean and exactly as expected! My boyfriend and I did tent camping for one night and it was so relaxing, and the stargazing was awesome. 100% would come back! A little hard to get to sleep because of passing cars but still isolated!

Jeff has an awesome setup here for us. Putting green, hammocks, water for dishes, stove, 2 tables and chairs. We hit some great hikes during the day and then stargazed in the hammocks with blankets and sleeping bags at night and it was sweet! Felt totally secluded and didn’t hear dogs barking at all as some of the other reviews said. Enjoy!
