Upon arrival we noticed a pile of laundry inside the unit on the floor. Also the larger upper bunk's sheets were not put on the bed but rather piled onto the mattress. There was some confusion about whether the sheets were clean or not, and it took a couple hours for the camp manager to arrive. By then it was already nighttime and I had already put the sheets on myself. There was also an issue with the barn door that covers the bathroom. It was completely off the tracks and stuffed into the side panel near the cabinetry. I lifted the door back onto the tracks and realized why somebody had taken it off: the door is too long for the ceiling and dragged significantly on the floor, making it difficult to close and open all the way. My elderly mother and 7-year-old son could not open and close the door easily by themselves, and I had to consistently get up to help them whenever they needed to use the restroom. Obviously this was an annoyance.
The game room was also under maintained. All of the video machines were unplugged, and the drink and snack machines were understocked or stocked with expired goods. The fireplace in there was messy with embers that were warm but not burning, so it seemed the fireplace was not being supervised.
Another issue was not a maintenance issue but rather one of comfort. None of the windows in the unit had curtains/shades so everyone walking by can see what you're doing inside, especially at night. This was most uncomfortable in the bathroom.

This place is absolutely adorable – it might just be my favorite tiny house I’ve stayed in! Loved the lofted bed - it truly felt like living out that childhood dream of having your own secret fort, nestled high up in a cozy space.
The tiny house was perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We had a great time cooking our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and relaxing in the peaceful vibe of the space. One fun surprise was the remote-controlled color lighting – you can easily set the ambiance with a range of colors, making it feel like a personalized little retreat.
The bathroom was stylish and functional, with all the modern amenities you could ask for. A quick tip – just remember to take out the shower plug where it drains, or it could flood the bathroom.
While the tiny house is right next to the other tiny house site, it’s actually a perfect setup for groups of friends or family looking to go glamping together. You can enjoy the privacy of your own space while still being close enough to share the experience.
I’d definitely return to this little gem. It’s conveniently located near Palomar Mountain, with beautiful hiking trails nearby. This place has everything you need for a cozy, memorable getaway!

We just spent 3 amazing nights at Stay Tiny with our friends for Thanksgiving. Our group rented both units. They are comfy, cozy, and the perfect fit for our families! The units had everything we needed, the camp ground was quiet and relaxing! Communications with the owners was fantastic, I can’t express how great our stay was! We hope to come back again in the future!!
