(Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food. We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy. PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance. FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions. TASTINGS: *Temporarily tastings are shut down.* Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Weekend Trip to Zen Ranch And Retreat

This was my first time using Hipcamp and Mary's place was amazing! I was testing out car camping and it was the perfect spot for me to put the top down and sleep under the stars. It had all of the glamping amenities and was a super cute and quiet space. Mary was very helpful and kind and I loved meeting her animals as well! I will definitely be back the next time I pass through. Highly recommend!

I loved our stay at the Avocado Vista campsite... it was gorgeous and felt very secluded! We had a fabulous time camping, and watching the wildlife. We are looking forward to coming back! Word to the wise the campsite is on the side of the mountain that faces sunrise and you will be in direct sunlight until about 6pm. So if you camp in July like we did, it will be VERY hot. Regardless, of the heat we loved Shane's spot. If you're staying here, make sure you buy the Avocado citrus bundle!!

Such a peaceful spot with fire rings, natural tables and places to sit under the oak trees. We towed in our huge 5th wheel trailer and there were several spots where we could park and setup camp. This would be a great spot to have groups of campers, although we thoroughly enjoyed having the whole Oak Grove campsite to ourselves. The restrooms were very nice and clean.

Weekend Trip to Skyline Mountain

We loved tent camping at Skyline Mtn for the July 4th weekend! We had a spectacular view of Lake Elsinore fireworks, the entire Temecula valley, all the way out even to the Lake Arrowhead fireworks and San Gorgonio Mtn (the highest in SoCal). Caleb was super responsive and hospitable, and was there to greet us and make sure we knew how to navigate up the mountain. The road up to the site is a bit steep and rocky but our little Toyota Corolla was able to make it up - just make sure to go while it's still light out. The propane fire pit we were able to rent was perfect during the fire ban as well. Would also suggest cots or camping pads if tent camping since the ground is pretty hard. We had a blast camping here, and it's perfect for both a small group of 4 (like ours) or a much bigger group. We'll definitely be back!

From the moment we arrived, every staff member made us feel genuinely welcome with their kindness and warmth. Our little one and her little friend had the sweetest time feeding the goats, and being surrounded by such beautiful nature made every moment feel peaceful and special. The highlight of our trip was hiking up the hill with fellow campers to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. The view was breathtaking, and sharing it with such a friendly community made it unforgettable. Thoughtfully maintained, family-friendly, and full of heart—Split Rock is the kind of place that leaves you already planning your next visit. We can’t wait to come back!

We just wrapped up our second Fourth of July stay here, and it was just as amazing as the first! 🇺🇸🏕️ This campground has become one of our favorite places to make summer memories. The grounds are clean and well maintained and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Spending the Fourth of July here for the second year in a row has become a tradition we look forward to. The beautiful surroundings and family-friendly environment make it such a special place to celebrate. We can’t wait to come back again next year. Highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a fun, peaceful, and memorable camping experience!

We booked the Hilltop Hideout because we had a large group, and it ended up being a great choice overall. When we arrived, there were already tents set up in our reserved campsite that didn't belong to our group. We called the camp host, who confirmed there hadn't been a double booking. Within a few minutes, they came over and cleared the site for us. Later that evening, the people who had been camping there returned, but they couldn't confirm that they had actually reserved the spot. They may have been transients. We really appreciated how quickly the camp host handled the situation. After that initial hiccup, we had an amazing time. The campsite layout was perfect for our group. The kids had plenty of room to run around and play in the lower area, while the adults relaxed in the upper section with a clear view of the kids. We never felt the need to leave our campsite because it had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing day. The views were absolutely beautiful, especially at night. Although it was hot during the day, there was enough shade to stay comfortable. The evening temperature was just right for summer—not too hot and not too cold. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely consider booking the Hilltop Hideout again. The spacious layout, beautiful scenery, and quick response from the camp host made it a memorable trip.

Weekend Trip to Granite Mountain

Really loved staying at Ken’s Black Cedar Cabin. We just wanted a quiet place to escape the fireworks on 4th of July weekend but got a much more serene and relaxing weekend than we were anticipating! It’s just up the hill enough to give sweeping views of the valley, with a lovely view of Mt San Jacinto in the distance. You can tell Ken built this cabin with love, it had a lot of nice details that make the stay cozy, like the bathroom light for late night runs, the perfect elevation of the cabin for a beautiful view, and the maintenance of brush for privacy and shade. Really hope to come back!

We had an amazing stay and everything went so smoothly from start to finish! The campsite felt very private, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the weekend. We spent time fishing and caught both crappie and bass, which was definitely a highlight of the trip. I honestly don’t understand some of the complaints about street noise. The sound of the waves from Lake Elsinore was so peaceful and pretty much drowned out any traffic for us. It made for a relaxing atmosphere, especially in the evening. The picnic table with the canopy was incredibly helpful and the solar string lights added such a nice touch after sunset. Having grocery stores and restaurants just a short drive away was also a huge plus if we needed anything. Overall, this was a great experience and we’d absolutely stay here again. Looking forward to coming back!
