We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy. PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance. FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions. TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. Our property sits on top of a hill on 10 acres of beautiful panoramic views of Cahuilla and, Palomar mountain along with rolling hills of large rock formation and colorful wildflowers in the spring. Nestled up to the wildlife preserve of the government bureau of land management which provides more of a quiet and private setting to enjoy what nature has to offer. On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well. We allow pets for a $10 per pet/per booking. If you want to bring a pet, please add the pet fee listed as an extra during the booking process. There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt. Not too far there is a Casino, a store open 24 hrs. and a restaurant call for hours. 20-30 minutes away from the Temecula stores and wineries. You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal. The power runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). has indoor and outdoor lights, a radio, outlets to plug in a fan or heater or a phone/computer. There are dishes and utensils,pots/pans and a toilet. Outside water is provided to wash up and clean the dishes. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees. Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. OUR STORY Our farm story began in 2018, when on a whim and a prayer we purchased a rundown home and land. After years of acquiring many blisters, animals, plants and weird suntans, we eventually created the home and farm of our dreams. Our emphasis in the beginning of this journey was to create a space in which our children (along with ourselves) learned the value of producing our own food, fiber, meat and eggs. We challenged ourselves to learn sustainable and organic farming practices, and the emphasis soon changed to how can we share this journey and all that we have learned with more than just our children. So…..here we are, sharing our hard work and ambition with you. For now, this ambition is in the form of HomeMade Jams, Jellies, Teas, Seasonings and Confections that is procured from our own organically grown gardens and trees along with HandMade fiber creations from our small Alpaca herd. I would like to be able to say that we grew everything that goes into our ingredients, but we are not that good at everything yet! So to keep in the spirit of ethical sustainability along with ensuring a high quality and great tasting product, we purchase ingredients from local organic farmers and shelf products that not only have the USDA Organic seal, but are non-GMO, ethically harvested and in some cases certified Kosher. One day we hope to meet you and share our story with you by introducing you to the fruit trees my father grew from seed and let you feel the soft fiber of our eclectic herd of misfit Alpacas while you watch the glorious Southern California sunset touch the hot desert horizon we call home. I absolutely loved this campsite! I have never used hip camp and had a great experience here! I camp often and my friend who never had in her life wanted to try it out. I thought this was a good time to try Hipcamp. Somewhere not to far from LA, and that would make her feel safe and comfortable! This place succeeded in that! The deck was so amazing and we did not even need to bring chairs or a small table if we didn't want to! The toilet worked great, and I loved the view points! We did get to walk around a bit and see the animals which was so sweet. I cannot wait to go back anytime I need a quick little getaway! You do for sure need 4WD or AWD because it can be super bumpy and curvy. High clearance may be helpful since it is very bumpy but the road is narrow as you do the last 5-10 min up to the site.

Weekend Trip to Skyline Mountain

What an incredible stay!! The lake view is gorgeous and the set-up was perfect. Caleb was so nice and welcoming and completely open to us putting on our weird little burner-style event. We set up a themed bar and a small sound stage and he was fine with us DJing late at night (within reason). It ended up getting pretty cold one of the nights so Caleb brought us a propane heater which was so generous. Definitely plan for wind! Luckily there are a lot of different areas in the campground, so when it got really windy at the top, we just moved the party to the amphitheater for a bit where it was calm. Really fun spot. We'll be back!

Great spot right next to the water. My granddaughter caught a good sized fish. We saw tons of turkey vultures and fish jumping in the lake. Only part that i wish could have been better was the wind and cold in the mid -late afternoon that just doesn't stop. Couldn't spend as much time outdoors.

2 nights at Villa Macala

Camping at Villa Macala was awesome. They have created an incredible camping environment that complements the area landscape. Our contact on arrival was David, who is also the ranch manager. He gave us a great intro to the property, amenities, and things to consider and watch for while camping there. He checked on us a couple of times each day to make sure we were settled in and having a good time. The property itself is phenomenal. It is a total of 80 acres. The owners encourage campers to enjoy the whole property. So, that's exactly what we did! We took a self guided tour and saw the 4 different olive tree orchards, 2 grape vineyards, a fig tree area, a pomegranate bush area, a guava tree section, etc. And on our last day, David gave us a tour that included some property history and a farming lesson. We learned a lot and received an education on the their micro-climate and growing process. We also purchased a handful of homemade items from the fruit harvested from the ranch. They were even kind enough to bring it to our campsite. All in all, it was a great experience from start to finish. The customer service and openness of the owners to allow "full roaming" of the property was truly appreciated. I have stayed at a lot of Hipcamps and I could confidently say that the landscape/environment, customer service, and commitment to maintaining a top notch camping site was unparalleled during our visit.

Weekend Trip to Saddle Up Camp

This was such a fun stay for us and our toddler, especially being her first camping trip! We loved seeing all the horses and other animals. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. TJs patience and knowledge with our horse ride made it an exceptional experience! I will say it was very hot, and we were there in May, so just note to bring ample shade if you are there in the warm months because there is not much there. But we could see so many stars at night, it was very peaceful. We would definitely come back and recommend to anyone wanting to connect with nature and animals!

We just got back from a wonderful stay at Macala Orchards - Elderberry Park site 1. The property is beautiful and there are so many great amenities to make for an amazing stay. It was a very peaceful, private and relaxing stay. The hosts and David especially are very accommodating and want to make sure you have everything you need. Make sure to take a tour of the property with David too and don't forget to order some of their delicious products! We will definitely be back for more stays at Macala Orchards!

Our stay at Villa Macala was genuinely relaxing and memorable. Our host David was very attentive and very helpful. The moment we arrived, the place had this peaceful, tucked away feeling that instantly made the stress of everyday life fade out. The grounds are well cared for, restroom clean with warm shower. The atmosphere encourages you to slow down, sit by the fire a little longer, to savor your coffee in the morning, and look up at the stars instead of your phone. Everything about the setup made the stay easy and exploring fun, from the layout of the site to the overall vibe of the property. We left feeling refreshed and already thinking about when we could come back. We highly recommend this place and be sure to try their incredible homemade jams, especially the guava and fig.

Our stay at Jordan and Rheanna’s campsite was great! The whispering winds site was very private and well laid-out with plenty of flat spaces for setting up camp and hanging out. Getting to the site was pretty fun too and it feels like you’re actually getting out of the city a little even though it’s not too far from the main road. The hosts were very communicative and friendly!

Beautiful, very peaceful spot with clear communication. Absolutely everything we needed and such helpful hosts! We arrived late and David came down to help us get into out spot and situated. In addition to all the hookups and beautifully maintained areas—we had our own gazebo covered picnic bench, tables, other benches around a fire pit. Just great!
