For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, enjoy the sounds of serenity.

Fully outfitted kitchen with dishes, silverware, kitchen utensils, cookware, serving bowls, French press and pour over coffee maker (and filters), linens for kitchen, bathroom, and bedding (please specify # of beds being used). The stovetop, microwave and oven make meals a cinch, though restaurant options abound. Kitchen boasts a large sink and regular faucet to make life easier. Pantry and storage throughout ensure you’ll have room to make yourself at home. Has full slide-out, awning, indoor and outdoor speakers, Bluetooth music setup, tv, dvd (and selection of DVDs), games and cards, small camp bbq (with 2 small propane cannisters), and more.

We have recently given the entire cabin a fresh remodel! It’s even more cozy than before complete with new kitchen, vaulted wood beam ceilings, fresh flooring and lots of Pendelton blankets! You will LOVE IT!
Master has a queen bed, while the 2nd bedroom has 4 twin bunk beds. We also have a firepit! Been coming to this magical part of the San bernardino mountains since I was a little girl. I learned to ski here when there was an old ski hill and tow ropes! Lots of mountain trails to hit right out the front door! My Father and Grandfather both spent time here and nothing has changed! It is single story with all open beam ceilings, wood floors throughout and hiking right out the door to miles and miles of trails! Stunning sunsets, a cute town with lots of live music quaint coffee shop. We loved staying at Anita’s land! It was wonderfully secluded, and I loved being able to let my dog run around off-leash without worrying about bothering anyone. The dome was very comfortable, and the décor was absolutely adorable. I especially appreciated having an electric kettle in the dome so I didn’t have to go outside at night just to boil water for tea.
Although it was cloudy and we couldn’t see the stars, we still enjoyed a beautiful view of the city lights. As a solo traveler, I was a little concerned about safety at first, but my hyper-vigilant dog and the security cameras helped me feel much more at ease. Anita’s directions and instructions were clear and detailed, and I had no trouble finding the place. We’ll definitely be back!

Great alternative to the depressing Motels and Hotels in the area. Bohemienne vibe and great for open minded people who are not afraid of experiencing something different. Nestled in the desert hills with total silence and great star watching. Probably best in warmer season, as to be able to use BBQs outside and the pool. Dirt road to reach location a bit challenging if it rains. But definitely a great gem and so close to Joshua Tree West Entrance.

Gemini Moon Ranch is a wonderfully unique and charming place. We stayed in the Artist Gallery and it was so cute and comfortable. We also did a stained glass class with Tracy which was amazing!! Will definitely be coming back for Soulful Sundays, one of their events and a girls weekend.

Angel's Nest is a gem - especially at the price! It's a beautiful mountain cabin that has family entertainment in mind. We played shuffleboard all afternoon and switched it up with the arcade machine and basketball; the kids had a blast! Really lovely kitchen, bedrooms and living areas as well! Great for a family mountain getaway. Only warning is: there are lots of stairs and a very steep driveway. Keep that in mind when if that's an issue for you. Martin was also very responsive and hospitable! We will definitely be back!

Joshua’s land is exceptional. I felt immediately welcomed when we arrived the tent we slept in had a gorgeous view. I would highly recommend staying here if you just need a quick getaway from the city 10 out of 10.

All of Tao’s spaces were lovely and we had a fantastic stay at HDP in the gallery. Loved the outdoor kitchen that was pretty well stocked with all the basic cooking necessities and then some. Tao was responsive and friendly and the property was beautiful, night time under the stars in the hot tub was sublime. We will be back 😊🤟🏻

Great place, peaceful, beautiful, well maintained, and clean none toxic cookware! Haha I know that’s a funny thing to be excited about but as a cook I love stainless steel and all were stainless steel, also master bed and pillows very comfortable, Tempur-Pedic I believe. Lots of stairs, so just be aware we brought our elder dog and was a little tricky for him to navigate; but other than that, host replied quickly to all questions and highly recommended!

For a quick nature excursion near San Bernardino, check out Box Springs Mountain Reserve Park, where you can get a panoramic view of the area from a 3,000-plus-foot peak. Chino Hills State Park is another great local option with more than 90 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. The campground at Chino Hills has tent sites with picnic tables and restrooms, while RV travelers can also find a variety of San Bernardino RV parks with full hookups, free wifi, dump stations, and everything else needed for travel in a big rig or camper.
San Bernardino Mountains
Much of the San Bernardino Mountains north of the city are preserved by the San Bernardino National Forest. Within this park system are 42 campgrounds, hundreds of miles of trails, and the highest peak in Southern California: the 11,499-foot San Gorgonio Mountain. The Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area and Big Bear Lake are also in this range, the latter of which sits at 6,752 feet of elevation and features a winter ski run.
Mount San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness
The Mount San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness spans 14,000 acres in the San Jacinto Mountains. With granite cliffs, Sequoia trees, and stunning views, this region feels more like the High Sierra than Southern California. There are campgrounds and rugged hiking trails near the park in Idyllwild, or you can start in Palm Springs and let the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway whisk you to 8,516 feet, where hiking trails depart from the tram’s Mountain Station.
When to go
There are year-round camping options in San Bernardino due to its proximity to varied climates. While the San Bernardino Valley can become uncomfortably hot in summer, this is a great season to camp at the more temperate beach and mountain areas nearby. Conversely, both the valley and nearby desert sites like Joshua Tree National Park are ideal for a winter camping getaway.
