We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: We offer tastings of our products with advanced notice and we will accommodate based on host availability. The earlier you request the tasting the better, but please no later than 48 to hours before the start of the booking. Thank you!
Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. GETTING TO VILLA MACALA: The road up to Villa Macala is a dirt road uphill, all vehicles fair well, we attempt to keep the road maintained as well as possible, after heavy rains it is a bit more bumpy but safe. Drive slow!

This was originally a Girl Scout camp called Singing Pines back in the 30’s. You’ll see as you roam around some of the original buildings and structures. It hasn’t been in operation as a Girl Scout camp for over 30 years. The bigger building is an Airbnb for groups. They will also have access to the lake.

Take Exit for Angeles Crest Hwy (Hwy 2) from the 210
Go North, up the mountain for 29 miles
Turn left on Sulpher Springs Rd
Go about a mile and you will see a Singing Pines sign up on a hill on the right side.
There is a white gate which is usually open but if it's closed go ahead and open it.
Go down that driveway about a mile and turn left at the fork.
Follow that road down and around the lake staying to the right. Once you passed the lake there will be a little uphill and the location is on the left.

The Skoolie is a converted short bus with two love seats that convert to an RV queen bed, sink, stove top, dinette, and over head lights. Outside is a private meadow with a short walk to a small lake. You can bring your fishing gear. It's stocked with Bass and Bluegill. Outside the Skoolie is a picnic table, fire pit (firewood $10 a bundle) and a hammock. Up the hill, a very short walk is the private campground toilet facility. This is not shared with anyone else.
No cell phone reception no linens bring a sleeping bag or warm blankets. You can charge your phone in the Skoolie for a sunrise alarm or just to take pictures.

Know, you're supporting a 501c3 charity and all the revenue goes to support the animals.This booking is for the Treehouse, and while it's only 1/2 a mile from the city limits, it has a rural feel and is centrally located to all wineries and most of the major equestrian facilities including Galway Downs, Green Acres, and California Ranch Company. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! Welcome to The Hilltop Getaway!
Escape the city for a private desert retreat just about an hour from LA. Set on a secluded 2.5-acre hilltop with 360° views, Joshua Trees and massive rock formations, The Hilltop Getaway feels like your own private desert park. Perfect for a romantic escape for two, a family getaway, or a relaxing trip with friends. Enjoy the seasonal pool, explore the rocks, watch incredible sunsets, and unwind by the fire pit under a sky full of stars.
The 23-ft (7 m) geodesic dome features a queen memory-foam bed, additional convertible sleeping spaces, comfortable lounge and dining areas, WiFi, mini fridge/freezer, projector and screen, Bluetooth soundbar, and a large panoramic window overlooking the desert.
Outside, you’ll find several private areas to relax and enjoy the landscape, including a propane fire pit, hammock, outdoor seating and dining areas.
The outdoor bar/kitchen includes a four-burner propane grill with side burner, sink, bar counter and dining space.
A separate private restroom and shower cabin includes a flush portable toilet, sink and hot shower. Towels and soap are provided.
During the warmer months, guests can enjoy our 8-ft stock-tank pool, open seasonally from May through October.
Guests have private access to the entire 2.5-acre property, including the geodesic dome, seasonal pool, outdoor kitchen and BBQ, fire pit, outdoor dining and lounge areas, private restroom and hot shower, and surrounding desert grounds and rock formations.
The entire property is reserved exclusively for you during your stay, THERE ARE NO SHARED SPACES.
The Hilltop Getaway is an off-grid desert experience rather than a conventional hotel stay. Electricity is supplied by our solar/battery system.
Utility water is provided for washing and showering but is not intended for drinking, so please bring bottled drinking water.
Commercial and professional photo/video productions require prior approval.

While our site is private and secluded, it is close to most stores you might need. Palmdale is a 10-minute drive and has a Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Ross, restaurants, fast foods, banks, and more.

2 nights at Skoolie in a secluded meadow
This place had it all! Alittle less than an hour outside of town but completely in nature! We ended up walking around and exploring for about an hour and still didn’t see all of the property. Brian was awesome and left us with water and an ice chest! Propane stove with pots and pans, designated fire pits, toilet out house.

Weekend Trip to Harmony Heaven Campyard
Tam was a wonderful host. The experience could not have been better. We brought our 6 year old and there was a gorgeous pool, a firepit for smores, even farm animals in a little secluded area ( no smell either!) Did I mention the koi pond? Or the hot shower and flushing toilet? This is definately glamping! We stayed in the safari tent which was super comfortable bedding and stayed warm. It is a small area inside tent with a support pole in the middle (for us, as a family of 3) We were there alone but there are 2 other cute little campers surrounding the firepit so you may have a group camp experience but each area has its own picnic set up. We hiked Etiwanda Falls at daylight and overall the whole experience was truly magical. We will book again!

Tam’s campground is a true unexpected gem! It’s close to all the dining and shopping you would need, but also very close to some incredible hikes near Mt Baldy! The views from the backyard are incredible, and it feels very private. The fruit trees and animals added to the peaceful atmosphere, you don’t feel like you’re in the suburbs at all!
The campground itself is very well equipped and cozy, and Tam is a great host who went above and beyond to make us comfortable. There is not much else like this in the area, and this was truly one of the best values I’ve ever gotten in this app. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful time at Jami’s lovely cabin. It is rustic, charming, cozy, and romantic… Everything we were hoping it would be. Jami was a very accommodating and thoughtful host. We loved the vibe of the area. We also loved the sound of the creek, putting us fast to sleep every night. The hot tub under the forest canopy, and the outdoor shower made our experience that much more memorable. Our dogs also loved visiting and exploring the property. We will definitely be back again.

Such a magical little place. I felt really grateful to be able to stay here. The property is beautiful, and I loved having the birds and the goat around. It had everything I needed, and I stayed in the trailer, which was cozy with a really comfortable bed.
Tam was such a lovely host, incredibly warm and helpful. She took the time to tell me about the property and all of her fruit trees. I took a quick dip in the pool and it was the perfect temperature. I really loved my stay and hope to stay again soon.

The area is well built and a lot of attention put into details. Tam was very kind to accommodate me with skillets, plates and utensils so I could cook a meal. I saw their animals in the morning 🐐🦃🐔🪿 and it was very nice, couldn't figure out who was the loudest 😁. There were everything I was looking for and in a great condition. They even have a laundry service for additional fee and backyard pool I believe is available too. I would stay there again!

I stayed here with my daughter as we traveled from Idaho to Cali for Warped Tour in Long Beach. The set up was absolutely stunning. We stayed in both the camper and the tent. There was an outhouse for a restroom and shower. The host was absolutely amazing and accommodating. This was my first time using HIPCAMP and she set the bar high!

My son really wanted to spend the night in a treehouse and I didn’t want to do any work putting together a camping trip and this was our perfect place! The treehouse is beautifully built with lots of character and charm with stain glasses windows and twinkle lights above the bed. We had all the conveniences- toilets, hot shower, coffee and a bbq along with the farm to explore. The hosts were kind and helpful, and made us very comfortable and welcome. The working farm itself is charming and a blast for my 9 year old to explore. He loved all the animals and so did I!

What a magical little place, and SO close to LA. I had a great weekend getaway with my 8 year old golden retriever. The bus was very charming, we were given water, and Brian even graciously left ice. We had firewood on site which helped not having to try to cram another thing in the car. The location is such a fun historic snapshot of an old summer camp, I did some exploring but wish I had the time to do even more.
I'd absolutely come back! One thing I'd do a little different, depending on the season I'm sure, is there's quite a bit of gnats swarming around. I'll come back with my canopy and have some nets around it to build a little safe zone around the picnic table.
I brought an electric off road bike with me, and I definitely recommend bringing some kind of bike to take the dirt roads for exploring! So much fun.
