Our property is lakeside at Rollins Lake In Colfax. We live on over 30 private, beautiful acres with footpath access to Rollins Lake. (3 minute walk from the dome or house, and 10-15 minutes from the cabin) where most summer days here are spent swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing ect., down at the water. Please note the Cabin is set on a seasonal CANNABIS garden. All three sites are vacation spots with AC and WIFI, not just simple accommodations, but experiences. The remarkable property is very hilly with pines and oaks. You can follow our driveway to the bottom and access the beginning of The Bear River which has a nice hiking trail alongside it or drive 8 minutes to the nearest boat ramp and 10 minutes to the town of Colfax where you will find gas, groceries, and restaurants. We have a beautiful spot where you will not see any neighbors so it is peaceful and private with gorgeous 360-degree views. It is also very safe! Bask in nature, quiet, and privacy! In summer there is a 3-night minimum for the cabin and dome. Occasionally a two day midweek will pop up on the schedule last minute. To see correct pricing, enter your dates as they can fluctuate with holidays, weekends. Prices are decreased midweek. We have 3 accommodations on the property -A GUEST SUITE (lakeside), up to 5 people. -A CABIN (15 min walk or 3 min drive/5 min walk, up to 4 people. -A GLAMPING DOME with an additional teepee tent site (lakeside)! Love creek sanctuary was founded in 2016. It all started with Stu the steer and his best friend Petey the goat, from there we have rescued over 90 animals, 45 make their home here at the sanctuary. Our camping areas are fenced from the animals but you are free to explore our 12 acres and interact with the animals during your stay here. We ask that children under 10 stay outside the animal areas and children over 10 are accompanied by a grownup. We have plenty of art and child friendly activities, just ask and we can set you up. We have a no dog policy because the chickens and birds are free ranging, unfortunately we have had several bad experiences with dogs attacking the birds and other animals. If you have a dog that has been around farm animals and is well behaved, let's talk about it. We have 5 dogs so the birds have NO FEAR of them. ---- We are a working farm - PLEASE READ----- There are donkeys, roosters, dogs and peacocks that make noise, sometimes at night and always early in the morning. Please be aware that you may hear the donkeys bray (usually lasts about 30 seconds), roosters crow, guinea fowl chirp. It is startling and will wake you up. We do our best to keep the dogs hushed but we cannot stop the donkeys, roosters and peacocks from doing their thing. If you are a light sleeper, please bring earplugs or select another wonderful Hipcamp in our area, thank you! In addition to the interesting sounds you will hear, you will encounter dirt, poop and spiders. Since we are a working farm, things get dirty. We spray all high traffic surfaces twice a day but things get dirty and when it rains it is muddy. Please plan accordingly. We are centrally located between Grass Valley and Auburn, giving you access to endless recreational activities, wineries, breweries and restaurants. We have 50 or so rescued farm animals, you can interact with our pig Hank, Mojo the goat or Teddy the alpaca. NOTE: Starting Memorial Day each year, we have replaced all of our wood fire pits with gas fire pits. We have increased our prices to help cover the costs of propane. Thank you for choosing us!

The small kitchen provides all the essentials to whip up delicious meals including a two burner hot plate, pots and pans, toaster, french press, plates, bowls, and eating utensils, spices and condiments, as well as complimentary tea and coffee. The tiny bathroom includes a metal tub with a copper shower and a compostable toilet. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. There are two chairs on the screened-in porch to enjoy the sunset in the evenings or your coffee/tea in the mornings. Situated a mere 10 minutes drive away is the pristine Finnon Lake, inviting you to indulge in a refreshing swim or a tranquil paddle amidst breathtaking scenery. The beautiful Rock Creek is just a 15-minute drive, promising invigorating water holes to swim or wade in. Wonderful forest hiking trails are also nearby in the El Dorado National Forest. The tiny house is a mere 25 feet from my own home but there is a bamboo privacy fence between us that will give you plenty of privacy. You also have access to the outdoor picnic area under the fig tree which has a BBQ, picnic table and sink for rinsing dishes. There is no indoor shower, but we do have a rustic outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Tent space We have a small orchard in front of the Nopal Studio. There is room for two tent sites. No camp fires are allowed in the orchard. If it is winter time, we do have a fire ring in the fig tree picnic area, as well as a propane BBQ. The bathroom is shared with the cabins. We have farm animals and dogs which can be loud. The dogs chase squirrels and bark maniacally, and the ducks quack at sunrise, like, lots! There are also spiders, wasps, bees, rattlesnakes etc!! Please be aware that you may hear the donkeys bray (usually lasts about 30 seconds), roosters crow, guinea fowl chirp. It is startling and will wake you up. We do our best to keep the dogs hushed but we cannot stop the donkeys, roosters and peacocks from doing their thing. If you are a light sleeper, please bring earplugs or select another wonderful Hipcamp in our area, thank you! In addition to the interesting sounds you will hear, you will encounter dirt, poop and spiders. Since we are a working farm, things get dirty. We spray all high traffic surfaces twice a day but things get dirty and when it rains it is muddy. Please plan accordingly. We are centrally located between Grass Valley and Auburn, giving you access to endless recreational activities, wineries, breweries and restaurants. We have 50 or so rescued farm animals, you can interact with our pig Hank, Mojo the goat or Teddy the alpaca. A short 3-minute walk away from the tent you’ll find the shore of the Bear River. Guest access: The tent site is only accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles. If you do not have a 4-wheel drive vehicle there is parking for up to four vehicles at the house. The tent site is less than a quarter mile walk downhill from the house. River access: If you’d like to visit the river to hang out, swim, or fish you can follow the dirt road next to the tent down to the river (3-minute walk). The riverfront has lounge chairs, a picnic table, and kayak's. The riverbank has small pebbles and rocks so water shoes are highly suggested for comfort when going into the water (recommended but not needed). Come and enjoy the views of the river, forest, and wildlife! This is a private tent site with one other listing on the property which is located at the house. You may rarely see other guests during your stay. Check out is at 12pm. If you or anyone in your party stays past 12:30pm you will be charged for an extra night for your full party. For guests that come for the day but do not stay the night there is a $25 fee per guest(s). You'll be next to a beautiful vineyard and can walk a short way up the hill to "View Forever Lane" and...well...view forever! We have goats on the property. All are friendly, in a goat kind of way. No, they don't do yoga! We moved here about 12 years ago and have welcomed others on the land since we arrived. We also have a few dog runs and are building a doggie obstacle course we use for dog training. Keep your eye out as our land develops. Ceci and Steve were so warm and accommodating for my dog and I last minute. I couldn't have imagined a better place to reset. This was my first time using hipcamp. I was set on finding a cozy inn to retreat to for the weekend and get somewriting done. Of course everything was booked or insanely expensive so I turned to hipcamp and I truly couldn't have planned it better. The cabin had everything I needed to be comfortable. You could really tell that so much thought went into every little detail. From the clawfoot tub, to porch with the little fenced in yard. Every light was on a dimmer! I was so charmed by this as someone who works with light a lot (photographer) and love creating ambiance! Clearly they poured their hearts into creating such an amazing space. I kept joking to my friends the cabin was like a storybook and I felt like I was the Celestial Seasons Bear. They were both so sweet to my dog Beaux and we had lots of nice walks around the property and beyond. Only downside was it was a bit muggy and buggy at times so definitely prepare if you're sensitive to mosquitos or other critters. This was no fault of Ceci & Steve's and to be expected when visiting the Delta! Oh, and there really were so many amazing birds to view and the sound of birdsong and coyotes throughout the day and night. The whole experience was so dreamy and relaxing and I definitely want to go back!

Glamping at the yurt at River Oaks Camp was a peaceful getaway on a lovely property with impromptu visits by deer, turkeys, woodpeckers and toads. Wonderful hosts, friendly dogs, and engaging farm animals, and the river would have been terrific on a hot summer day. Apple Hill farms and businesses are a short drive away. Recommended.

I had such a restorative, restful time at Steve and Ceci’s beautiful cabin on their farm on Sherman Island. I had been worried that it was too close to civilization to give me the peace and quiet I was looking for but this couldn’t have been further from the truth. While the cabin was close enough to town to meet with friends in Walnut Creek or get supplies, it was far enough away to feel worlds away from San Francisco. Steve and Ceci were consummate hosts, providing everything I needed from additional firewood for the fire pit (and accompanying fire building assistance!) to bottled water. The clawfoot tub with bath salts was a particularly lovely touch but the cabin was extremely comfortable and well-appointed. My dog absolutely adored staying here, and was able to roam the large property that was completely fenced in, meeting the farm dogs and the chickens. There is even a hammock and a comfortable lounge chair to do some reading in the shade. What more could you ask for?

magical spot. I will definitely be back. The New flushing toliet was a major glamping perk. Id say bring ear plugs just in case of barking dogs at night as sound carries in a valley (this is typical for a farm/neighbors to have working dogs staying alert for wildlife etc). Hosts were so dang sweet and the River was beyond perfect for a full day of swimming and relaxation. The steep hike back up to the yurt from the river was quick but could be a challenge for those with mobility issues etc. so pack light to the river. Don't miss this well cared for Oasis!

The cozy cabin on Steve and Ceci's property was perfect for my solo getaway. The cabin has just what you need to unwind and relax - a lounge chair with a little fire pit, a soaking tub with a candle and bath salts with a rack to hold my kindle/book while soaking. The small table provided space to eat and sit to watch the bird bath and sunsets. Steve and Ceci were so welcoming to me and my dog, we are very grateful for their space!

Loved our stay! Kelly was incredibly welcoming. We spent most of our time in the pool and had a beautiful evening grilling and enjoying the view. The drive in is pretty long but very scenic. We stopped at a flower farm on the way home and also saw some breweries and wineries we want to check out next time.

Very quiet neighborhood. 5 miles from Colfax and Hwy 80. 10 miles from Grass Valley and Hwy 49. I am right next door should you need anything. Very large parking area. Guest access Your private entrance front door opens out onto a covered porch. Stone steps lead to front yard and fire pit. Entire 2 acres is fully fenced. View of pond. French doors open off master bedroom and lead to large deck, hot tub and additional seating. View of vintage workshop and stone steps invite you to try the rope swing hanging from 200' oak tree. Other things to note 1.) I appreciate guests whose dogs are well behaved and well groomed. 2 .) I ask that guests shower prior to using the hot tub. Our skin oils, lotions, sunscreen, insect repellent and hair products get can wreak havok with the filters and cleanliness of the water which I work hard to maintain as pristine. 3.) I have everything needed, I'm right next door. From bandaids to bowls, just ask!

Stay on our working organic fruit and vegetable farm in a cozy 1960s trailer. Our spot is located just a mile from downtown Winters and 15 minutes from Lake Berryessa. You will have the run of the place while you're here -- 77 acres of orchards, vineyards and vegetable crops to explore and harvest depending on what's in season. This is a working farm so you may not have the whole place to yourself (except on Sundays), but it's not hard to find a spot where you won't be disturbed to take a siesta or have a picnic. After four p.m., though, we (the owners) are the only others on the property, unless you include the local coyote pack. We have spectular sunsets and amazing dark skies for stargazing. The trailer sleeps one person or a couple (Two person maximum). It has a tiny bathroom with toilet and shower, and a very small kitchen including fridge and freezer. It also has an AC and plenty of additional electricity. We have sheets and pillows but you bring your own towels. There's a grill outside. Note: This is our home, and we live a stone's throw from the trailer. We both have full-time jobs. If you are looking for "curated" experience or high level of hospitality and service, this isn't it. If you are looking for a reasonably comfortable stay on an authentic, working organic farm less than an hour away from Sacto and the SF Bay, this may be a good fit. Our farm dog Jack LOVES people and will likely convince you to throw him the ball or stick. He has the run of the property and is not leashed or fenced in. He's very friendly and will be happy to go on a walk around the farm with you anytime.
