We had a great one night stay at RockNWater Cove Camping! We stayed in Curley w/ an RV but definitely want to return to camp at one of the tent spots. The hosts, Kris and her husband, were super nice and answered lots of questions we had. The river access is really pretty w/ a nice beach area. Plusses are flush toilets, showers, propane fire pits with propane provided, potable water and electric hook ups. Looking forward to going back next summer!

Super easy check in and check out. Camp site was perfect though a little close to the neighbors. Showers, restrooms and trash cans were all well maintained. Food and coffee was close. The river is pretty amazing. If the camp sites by the river are full, it can get a little crowded and noisy down there. Epic place. Hosts were awesome

We loved camping at RocknWater Cove. Really spacious, clean portapotties, it was great to have propane firepits, showers and so many picnic tables for our group. The little beach is amazing, and it was fun to hang out and cheer on the whitewater rafters during the days. Paul the camp host came by periodically to make sure we were well taken care of. The two sites nearest the water were best for beach access + privacy, and Oak was the best for beach access + gathering with our whole group.

This is a beautiful campground! We were there midweek in September and the place was so quiet and lovely. The site for our little RV was spacious, exceedingly manicured and was nestled in some gorgeous trees. They provided a gas campfire, complete with a propane tank. The showers and bathrooms were very clean. There was a sweet trail to the river where there was a beach area and a bit of shade for the warm day. The river was still running high (watched some kayakers and rafters go by) so a bit too rough for swimming. This is definitely a place we will go to again! My favorite HipCamp site this summer!

Moe campsite is a nice private nook. The bathroom and shower amenities are convenient and clean. Lovey river spot just a short walk from the campsite. The campground was very quiet in September, mostly had the place to ourselves. Hosts are attentive and kind.

We had a nice weekend camping at Pond Bank Waterfront. The property was easy to find and access. We parked our trailer parallel to the pond so that we had a nice view of it. We were the only ones accessing the pond so that was nice. We were aware of neighbors across the pond but they are far enough away that it was no issue. We really enjoyed watching all of the birds come and go to the pond. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful! We liked that the location of the property is so close to things to do during our stay. We spent the afternoon on Saturday checking out the Kennedy Mine and Kennedy Tailing Wheels. Fascinating. Walking around Sutter Creek was fun too. The only issue we had were mosquitos which come any place with water. Just be prepared for them to come out an hour or so before sunset. We didn't have any issue with them during the day.

Our family had an amazing late summer experience - hiking, swimming and enjoying this beautiful ranch in Amador County along the Consumnes River. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. For swimming, Tom recommended the Swimming Hole at Sawyer’s Bar, which was perfect for our six year old - a nice sandy beach with little to no current in the shallows. The campsite was spacious and clean with lots of shade and plenty of space between other sites, which made the site feel very private. We visited with a travel trailer and thought the dirt road to the campsites was well maintained when we visited. We cannot wait to visit again!

Having a private reservoir to unwind at was a lovely addition to our weekend away. We explored some local trails with our dog and then came to fish and relax by the resorvoir. There are some neighbors with animals that are chatty but that is to be expected out in the country. We took out the paddleboat and enjoyed hours relaxing on the land. Thanks James!

There are solar lights at the tree-house and on the trail to the campsite. Being off-grid means that there will be dust, leaves, bugs & and dirt because those are all present in nature. We keep the treehouse clean, but this is in a forest. There will be maple-leaves and pine leaves that fall on the outside table at the Treehouse. This is a natural forest environment. We want the forest to do forest things. On the property there are 3 hammocks setup in the shade of Maple trees. Sunset views and ripe blackberries this time of year add to the off-grid experience! There are also trails to around the property to explore. Amazing sunset views and cool quiet mornings provide a calming environment. Come enjoy the healing peace and quiet of the forest. We have 5 dogs so the birds have NO FEAR of them. ---- We are a working farm - PLEASE READ----- There are donkeys, roosters, dogs and peacocks that make noise, sometimes at night and always early in the morning. Please be aware that you may hear the donkeys bray (usually lasts about 30 seconds), roosters crow, guinea fowl chirp. It is startling and will wake you up. We do our best to keep the dogs hushed but we cannot stop the donkeys, roosters and peacocks from doing their thing. If you are a light sleeper, please bring earplugs or select another wonderful Hipcamp in our area, thank you! In addition to the interesting sounds you will hear, you will encounter dirt, poop and spiders. Since we are a working farm, things get dirty. We spray all high traffic surfaces twice a day but things get dirty and when it rains it is muddy. Please plan accordingly. We are centrally located between Grass Valley and Auburn, giving you access to endless recreational activities, wineries, breweries and restaurants. We have 50 or so rescued farm animals, you can interact with our pig Hank, Mojo the goat or Teddy the alpaca. NOTE: Starting Memorial Day each year, we have replaced all of our wood fire pits with gas fire pits. We have increased our prices to help cover the costs of propane. Thank you for choosing us!
