Mild seasonal temperature swings, fresh air, clear evening skies for star gazing, the property is in a valley surrounded by the Cleveland National Forest and it was formally used as a 1950's Boys Scouts of America campsite. Our Mom purchased the family property over 40 years ago, and my siblings and I grew-up with weekend trips exploring and camping on the property. With love and respect that all that Mother Nature designs be left wild and free, the more than 100 acres is dispersed with groves of old oak trees, mountains are covered in chaparral and manzanita shrubbery, and seasonal waterfalls, streams, a lake with a dam, dirt roads, and hiking trails. The outhouse that you see was used when it was first built and now is for storage. The original owner built the house himself and it was originally on piers alone with no other foundation! There is a folder in the bedroom closet of the house over the years. The decorations were here when we bought it so we kept them to preserve the house’s uniqueness. We treasure this house which is nestled amongst the trees and has so many beautiful birds that visit. Many turkeys love to stop by too! Rugged and remote location with lots of space to explore. The old dam is super cool. I spent two nights there and had fun adventures. Hosts are very cool with an interesting backstory. The dirt road is pretty steep in parts, so you gotta know what you're doing with a heavy vehicles.

cool but the cabin was super warm and cozy! water heated up fast in the shower and ken provided ample drinking water in a few tanks. air was crisp and views were beautiful

Ken’s Eagles Nest was the perfect retreat for our babymoon. The cabin was exceptionally cozy and stocked with thoughtful amenities that truly exceeded our expectations — a clean composting toilet, a warm outdoor shower, an easy-to-use outdoor stove, and a great campfire pit for relaxing evenings. The huge windows offered stunning views that made the whole place feel peaceful and connected to nature. We felt comfortable, cared for, and completely recharged. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful, serene getaway!

Weekend Trip to Rustic Wooded Ranch -Creekside Stay

Gemini Moon Ranch is a wonderfully unique and charming place. We stayed in the Artist Gallery and it was so cute and comfortable. We also did a stained glass class with Tracy which was amazing!! Will definitely be coming back for Soulful Sundays, one of their events and a girls weekend.

2 nights at Granite Mountain

We loved our time at eagles nest! Ken our host was great! He gave us great instructions on how to get to the site and also gave us many recommendations on places to visit around the area. I stayed at this glamping site for a weekend and absolutely loved it. The property itself is gorgeous—quiet, well maintained, and surrounded by nature. If you’re looking for something that blends outdoor adventure with hotel-like comfort, this place nails it. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning my next visit.

It was a nice place to stay for a few days to get away and relax. It had everything there for you including a comfy bed. I read, did some painting and did some hiking fairly close. My dog enjoyed herself, too. There is a little car noise that I didn’t expect but it didn’t take away from the good experience. I’ll definitely come back again.

Weekend Trip to Birdsong Backcountry Retreat

I loved staying at Camp Chester! The camper and bathroom are well equipped with just about everything you might need! I loved the little outdoor kitchen. The view from the bathroom is a bonus :) There was plenty of room for my dog to roam around and enjoy all the sniffs! It was so quiet and peaceful. I loved hearing the coyotes at night, the breeze through the trees and the birdsongs. We got to take in a peaceful sunset at Zen Point and enjoy the nature trails around the property. It truly felt private and secluded. This was our second stay at Birdsong, and I’m sure we’ll be back again sometime!

Such a cool campsite! The views were spectacular and the site felt really private, while also being close enough to town that we got to enjoy Wildomar, Murrieta, and Temecula really easily. We loved hanging out in the shelter and watching the sunrise and sunset. We’d love to stay here again!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary weekend and it was the perfect overnight stay! The cabin was really cute, clean, and tidy and we were able to use the stove/pots/pans to cook dinner. It was our first time using a compostable toilet but we had no issues with the it & the shower got nice and warm too. It was nice to be disconnected from WiFi but we still had good cell service as needed. Would definitely recommend!

We didn’t know what to expect since it had been many years since our last camping trip, but Granite Mountain Campsite exceeded all our expectations! We decided to go glamping to ease back into camping, and it was absolutely perfect—from booking to the actual stay. The view was stunning, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. It’s private, quiet, and the perfect place to disconnect from the outside world. Everything was spotless—from the room and campsite amenities to the restrooms and showers. We’ll definitely be looking forward to staying here again! Thank you Ken! You’re an excellent host!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The site had an incredible view which was perfect for watching the sunrise or sunset. It was easy to get to, well laid out, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The area felt very safe and quiet, which made it easy to relax and unwind. Weekend Trip to Villa Macala

Great campsite with fantastic views of the local mountains. The full hookup site we had was extremely nice, new, well setup with a clean picnic table and fire pit. The hilly area was fun to hike around and would be a terrific place for kids to run around and play. Weather was perfect with a nice breeze and clear sky’s. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking to get away from the city and spend time relaxing with family and friends.
