Nestled up to the wildlife preserve of the government bureau of land management which provides more of a quiet and private setting to enjoy what nature has to offer.
You will see Jack rabbits and cotton tail bunnies, roadrunners, quail, owls, different type of birds, hawks, coyote, lizards, snakes and even some toads. On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights.
There are many trails to walk, hike, bike and horse back ride where you can discover large boulders in different shapes and sizes along with hidden caves. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well.
At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls!
We allow pets for a $10 per pet/per booking. If you want to bring a pet, please add the pet fee listed as an extra during the booking process.
There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt.
Not too far there is a Casino, a store open 24 hrs. and a restaurant call for hours. 20-30 minutes away from the Temecula stores and wineries.
You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal. The power runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). has indoor and outdoor lights, a radio, outlets to plug in a fan or heater or a phone/computer. There are dishes and utensils,pots/pans and a toilet. Outside water is provided to wash up and clean the dishes. There is a propane b.b.q, propane fire ring, outdoor bench, table and camp chairs. included in the cost.

There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt.
Not too far there is a Casino, a store open 24 hrs. and a restaurant call for hours. 20-30 minutes away from the Temecula stores and wineries.
You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal. The power runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). has indoor and outdoor lights, a radio, outlets to plug in a fan or heater or a phone/computer. Weekend Trip to Manzanita Village Retreat
We had a great time during our stay. The place was so beautiful and held so much energy. We loved the hike and walks around the stay. We were also lucky to see some wild animals during the day and clear skies at night. We left the place with a happy heart 🥰. We enjoyed the trailer as it had a great view of the stars and sunrise. Trailer was clean and as advertised; we brought sleeping bags and pillows. The only bummer was that we are light sleepers and the neighbors played music that could be heard from the trailer.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay while visiting Joshua Tree. Tao’s property is fun, welcoming, and equipped with everything you need - and then some! We took advantage of the trails near the property and then spent time relaxing in the pool and hot tub. I was in town to meet my dad for the first time ever. Afterward, I really needed somewhere safe and quiet to land — a place where I could process everything and ground myself. I didn’t have a big budget, so finding something affordable was important. Then I found Amy’s place. It was affordable, really cute, and exactly what I needed. I kept my phone charged with a battery pack, sat in the moonlit camper, and wrote. It ended up being a really meaningful and grounding experience.

My mom and I came to relax at Granite Mnt. for two days. Ken was an amazing host, communicated promptly and was extremely responsive. Granite Mnt. cabins are beautiful, set amongst manzanita trees and huge boulders. Although I didn't have my children along, I could imagine that children would have an amazing time climbing boulders and chasing lizards. The site is private (although we were the only visitors there) with a beautiful picnic table in the manzanita trees. As soon as the sun goes down beautiful lights turn on to create a beautiful ambience. We moved from the porch to the table to the fire pit. The bathroom and shower is in the cabin, which was great for my 78 year old mom (who made it up the hill)! The cabin is perfect for two people. As in southern California we could hear traffic from the nearby road at certain times of day. That was the only little bummer, but I am a stressed mom so always looking for quiet. I would return in a heartbeat.

This property is amazing! So much to explore and enjoy.
The Gallery experienced some weather damage from rainstorms prior to my visit, so the team at HDP upgraded me to the Robin's Egg, which was extremely generous. The accommodations were excellent, with so much cool art and media to explore. I enjoyed the clawfoot tub as well as the many patios to step outside onto.
I spent time during both evenings of my stay in the hot tub, under the stars. So nice to meet fellow travelers in there, as well as enjoy alone time.
Both mornings, I walked the trails behind the property, taking in the views (including many Joshua Trees!)
The road up to the property is unpaved but in good condition. My SUV handled it fine.
The communication from the team beforehand, during, and after was informative.

The property has good energy, beautiful star gazing, with Joshua trees illuminated at night. The pool and hot tub, has a fantastic Mountain View. The Quonset hut has a nice bathroom and shower, even eucalyptus leaves hanging, a color energy tarot, and crystal corner. You can roam up trails and have a peaceful, good vibe disconnect, but really a reconnect with nature, yourself. Loved that it’s close to Joshua tree, I’ll be back! The desert as we know cools off at night, so bring warm wear.

We loved camping here! My boyfriend and I went for his birthday, and it was such a cozy and lovely experience. The tent was equipped with two beds that were comfortable, and they provided lighting as well. The inside of the tent felt very cozy and inviting. We loved that our site was slightly secluded for the most part, with palm trees covering the entrance. There were 2 springs at our site, a warm one and a hotter one, which felt so nice! We also got the ramen which was so delicious, and came in a nice tray to take back to our tent. The common kitchen area was well equipped and had water, a fridge, a hot plate, and was easily accessible and not a far walk from us. The hosts were very kind and responsive. I also enjoyed the propane heater that was provided with the add on. Joshua tree was not too far of a drive for us either. Overall we loved it and had a wonderful time, it’s such a unique and serene place to be. We would definitely visit again!

Weekend Trip to The Cabins at Joshua Tree Lake RV
This cabin was everything I needed and more for a quick weekend of hiking and exploring Joshua Tree. Coming from out of state, I was able to roll in with my carry on and still have the camping-esque weekend of campfires and picnic table lounging that I was looking for. The main host is so kind, helpful to work with, and was prompt to reply to questions I had.
The place looked just as it does in the photos here and I thought the blankets and bedding far exceeded my expectations for a “dorm” hostel in the desert. The only thing I might add would be hooks. I lucked out and had the place to myself, but had there been others sharing the space, places to hang things would be really helpful in keeping the space organized.
I’d definitely recommend this hostel and consider staying again when I’m in the area :)

We felt like we we're back in the 70's in the best way.
