Really great spot and an excellent host. The creek is quite deep and the perfect temperature for cooling off on a hot day. Billy was amazing. She did a grocery run for us in the morning if we needed anything. She supplies the wood for your fire and honestly takes care of anything you might need. Had a great time and will definitely be back soon. Great proximity to the nearby lakes and lots of opportunity for hiking as well. Thank you so much Billy!

Karen's farm was perfect for us. We just needed a last-minute place to stop and camp overnight in our camper van when we were driving south on I-5 near Redding, California. Even though we got there at dusk, Karen met us and said hello to us and made sure we had everything we needed. The meadow that we camped on was nice and flat and it was definitely far enough away from Highway 5 to not hear any traffic sounds. The neighbors were generally quiet so we slept well. We didn't linger because we needed to keep on driving the next morning but we really appreciated the stay.

Host was generous with group site, offered popsicles and firewood for donations. Some mosquitoes by the creek but I've seen worse - bring bug spray and wear long sleeves. Waking up in the shade to a fire was awesome. Sometimes you're allowed to have campfires during the July-Sept "fire ban" - it just means the Forest Service can issue a ban day-to-day but we were permitted to burn during our late July visit. Yay! Fire ring had grill attached and used that for all cooking. As far as driving there, just follow the host's directions and use odometer. My Prius made it alright with only 1 scrape, though I recommend going very slow or using a higher lifted car. 4WD not necessary. The general store is limited - has wifi, jacket to borrow if you forgot, and sells ice, candy, and soda. Pack in pack out. Used the camp sink to wash dishes and hands. Fresh mountain water from spigot was delicious. Bring a headlamp or lights though as you're in full darkness. Bring backup TP though they do provide it. As far as the mineral baths go, they sure were stinky but not troublesome. We hung out at the creek every day and saw loud ravens, deer, turtle, salamanders, frogs, fish, and more. 1hr+ drive back to town so make sure to bring everything!

The camping spots are spacious and far enough off the road so traffic noise is minimal. The port o potty was CLEAN and there was potable water on sight. Being steps from the creek was amazing and was lovely to dip into to beat the heat. The hosts were easy to reach and very friendly!

This was such a lovey campsite! It had an incredible amount of space and was extremely safe for my children to run around and explore. The creek is just a short walk away and time flew too fast while we enjoyed it. The porta potty was the cleanest I’ve ever experienced. An absolute treat and gem of a place to stay. Excellent hosting and communication. Whether you opt for glamping in one of the canvas tents or dome or go for a "bring your own tent spot"--you are in for a treat because all the amenities are there for everyone. The private swimming hole is a little slice of heaven and lots of water toys/accessories are available to use. Bathroom,showers and outdoor kitchen amenities exceed expectations. Fire wood and plenty of pits are also provided. You are close to town but you still enjoy the sounds of nature: fox, heron, lizards, ducks, geese and a couple domestic cows along with the sound of the river. We can't wait to return to the Perch.

2 nights at The Goat Shed
I had a wonderful stay at the goat shed! The accommodation is surprisingly luxurious for glamping. Every detail was lovingly curated for guests to have a great experience. Johanna was an extremely thoughtful and gracious host. My favorite part was the family of little frogs who live under the outdoor sink.

Another great trip to Fly Camp! I’ve been here more than a few times and I always love coming back. Not just for the excellent fly fishing but the quiet serene and beautiful environment. On this trip I saw bears, dear, beavers, eagles, otters, foxes, and more all within a few yards of my tent. The river here is crystal clear and amazing to gaze at while having a cold beer. The property makes you feel like you’re much farther off the beaten path than you are yet close to local amenities if needed. Mike the owner is a salt of the earth true gentleman and just an overall wonderful person. He’s always available to answer questions and very quick to respond. I was able to get some steelhead and brown trout on this trip of good size. I highly recommend this spot to any type of camper. Overland rigs, RV’s, car set-up’s, etc. will all find the property accommodating and comfortable as there are many locations to setup camp to your liking. Can’t wait for my next trip to Fly Camp! - place is magic!
