Owl Creek Cabin is in the Cascade Mountains above Ashland, Oregon. The cabin, in a Douglas Fir grove next to a seasonal creek, sits on five forested acres and is adjacent to BLM lands open for hiking. Outside is a fire pit with Adirondack chairs. Snow season starts in late fall and continues through March. Snowparks, snowy woods, and meadows are nearby for cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. The roads to the cabin are plowed, but you'll need all-wheel drive, and tires that are safe for snow and ice.
When you arrive, you'll be greeted and briefly introduced to some of the cabin's unique features, including attic stairs to the windowed sleeping loft. Downstairs is a sofa and a sofabed. The coffee cart kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, and microwave. Cook on an outdoor gas grill with a skillet and saucepan, and enjoy outdoor dining at a picnic table. Dishes, linens, and bedding are provided. WiFi speed is suitable for basic use. Mobile phones connect through WiFi. The cabin is non-smoking. Children eight years and up are welcome.
Summer recreational areas are nearby with miles of trails, including the Pacific Crest Trail, are nearby. Howard Prairie Lake is across the road. Howard Prairie Lake is a local favorite for fishing for Rainbow Trout and smallmouth bass. Birdwatchers can see eagles, pelicans, geese, ducks, hawks, herons, and many other bird species.
A 20-minute drive will take you to Lake of the Woods, where you can dine, hike, and kayak, or snowshoe and cross-country ski in the winter. Crater Lake National Park is 50 miles away.

Please note that we are a working farm with sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, pigeons and bees. We ask that you are considerate to all the life happening on the land, observing animals at a distance (except the cats, who will not allow for that) and being aware of electric fences. If you bring dogs to the land, (an option only with RV sites) do so at your own risk. Dogs will need to be leashed at all times and cleaned up after meticulously. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe and the land well cared for.

Welcome to Juniper Spur Ranch! Directions: GPS Juniper Valley Spur....this is a short culdesac road with a road sign at the entrance off Juniper Valley Drive. There is a green pipe rail gate at the end. This gate has a combination lock. You will receive the current combination code 2 days before your arrival. We have 3 RV sites available for campers to book. Please note that we do not have RV hookups for any of the sites. You will be parking on loose gravel and the sites are relatively flat. We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message.
There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses. There is no shower available but you could wash off hands and feet if desired with the hose.
Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times.
Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer.
Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake.

If you arrive without your own toilet you will be asked to leave. Doggies are allowed and should be leased for the safety of wildlife. All pets must sleep in your RV. There are many critters out at night!
There is a 20 AMP electric hook up to power. YOU CAN NOT RUN AN AIR CONDITIONER...AC.... ON A 20 AMP CONNECTION. You can use your own generator system to run AC for your trailer, motorhome or van. Generators hours are 8AM to 9PM. lease be respectful of our quiet space and only run generators when necessary.
The camp is by a beautiful Zinnia garden which blooms in the summer and a small orchard which is all fenced in. The property is wooded and has a view of Mt Shasta from the camp.
The camp has a picnic table, two outdoor chairs, WE ARE UNDER CAMPFIRE RESTRICTIONS AT THIS TIME. NO CAMPFIRES WILL BE ALLOWED. Please ask upon your arrival if restrictions have been lifted.
There is a cool soaking tub available to beat the heat during the summer months!

There are several walks right from the Camp to a beautiful pond and hill walks for panoramic views. All dirt roads... so great mountain bike exploring!
You will be surrounded by beautiful large Ponderosa Pines, wild flowers and White Fir trees. There is open sky for star gazing and no lights to obstruct your sky views. This is a very quiet area that is visited by deer, bears, many species of birds, eagles, owls, rabbits, fox, hawks and more.

We are in the shadow of Mt. McLoughlin in the high Sierra of the Cascades. Our Ranch was part of the original 1800's Oregon land grant. We have our own fresh water springs..cool nights with 1 million stars. No lights touch our prairie. Lake of the Woods is 10 minutes away but we are on Howard lake and just down the road from Hyatt Lake and The Cove Restaurant. Best hamburgers, pizzas, Vegetarian food to be had. This 200 acre property is located within the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, a land bridge where two mountain ranges meet, creating immense biodiversity and natural beauty. Soda Spring is a bourgeoning community tended land located on the unceded territories of the Shasta, Takilma, Latgawa and Klamath peoples, just 10 minutes from the south end of Ashland, Oregon. The property is primarily oak savannah and pastureland, with adjacent fir/pine and madrone/manzanita forests and hillsides. The land sits in a valley where both Soda Creek and Carter Creek enter in to Emigrant Creek as it flows onward to Emigrant Lake, just a mile away. The land is being stewarded by a small group of humans and large community of wildlife and insects. Together we are slowly creating something special... including community event and classroom spaces, gardens, orchards, holistically managed ranch lands, campgrounds and wild places.
Please note that we are a working farm with sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, pigeons and bees. We ask that you are considerate to all the life happening on the land, observing animals at a distance (except the cats, who will not allow for that) and being aware of electric fences. If you bring dogs to the land, (an option only with RV sites) do so at your own risk. Dogs will need to be leashed at all times and cleaned up after meticulously. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe and the land well cared for.
Currently there are two vintage trailers and two RV sites available. By summer of 2026 we hope to also offer walk-in campsites by the creek!

Welcome to Juniper Spur Ranch! Directions: GPS Juniper Valley Spur....this is a short culdesac road with a road sign at the entrance off Juniper Valley Drive. There is a green pipe rail gate at the end. This gate has a combination lock. You will receive the current combination code 2 days before your arrival. If you are turning onto a dirt road without a sign....you are on the wrong road. Juniper Valley Spur is my short culdesac road with a road sign and a locked green pipe rail gate at the end.
We have 3 RV sites available for campers to book. Please note that we do not have RV hookups for any of the sites. You will be parking on loose gravel and the sites are relatively flat. We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message.
There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses. There is no shower available but you could wash off hands and feet if desired with the hose.
Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times.
Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer.
Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake.

25' RVs with tow car OK, Sprinter Vans/ Class C with tow car OK/Class B/ Trailer 25' with tow OK. If you have a car in tow please go to the top of the driveway at the loop and remove the car in tow before entering the driveway to the Hip Camp. If you are a bit longer just text us and we can see if it can work. All campers must be self contained with holding tanks. NO TENT CAMPING. This camp is for SELF CONTAINED RVs. If you arrive without your own toilet you will be asked to leave. Doggies are allowed and should be leased for the safety of wildlife. All pets must sleep in your RV. There are many critters out at night!
There is a 20 AMP electric hook up to power. YOU CAN NOT RUN AN AIR CONDITIONER...AC.... ON A 20 AMP CONNECTION. You can use your own generator system to run AC for your trailer, motorhome or van. Generators hours are 8AM to 9PM. lease be respectful of our quiet space and only run generators when necessary.
The camp is by a beautiful Zinnia garden which blooms in the summer and a small orchard which is all fenced in. The property is wooded and has a view of Mt Shasta from the camp.
The camp has a picnic table, two outdoor chairs, WE ARE UNDER CAMPFIRE RESTRICTIONS AT THIS TIME. NO CAMPFIRES WILL BE ALLOWED. Please ask upon your arrival if restrictions have been lifted.
There is a cool soaking tub available to beat the heat during the summer months!
After confirmation of your reservation we will contact you with local information on places to see as you explore the area and our favorite places to shop and eat out.
There are several walks right from the Camp to a beautiful pond and hill walks for panoramic views. All dirt roads... so great mountain bike exploring!
You will be surrounded by beautiful large Ponderosa Pines, wild flowers and White Fir trees. There is open sky for star gazing and no lights to obstruct your sky views. This is a very quiet area that is visited by deer, bears, many species of birds, eagles, owls, rabbits, fox, hawks and more.

The perfect stop on my portland to sand Diego road trip, about 15 minutes from the main highway but it felt a world away. The washroom was great, with hot water even! The icing on the cake was the trail across the road that followed along the creek - my dogs and I took several romps around there during our stay.

This is a lovely spot in a farm on a creek surrounded by rolling hills. The farm hosts a a variety of folks, all friendly. A highlight is the flock of hairless sheep! We enjoyed the scenery and how remote it felt while being just 10 miles from Ashland. Sarah and Jeff were gracious and attentive hosts, and we had a great time resting and exploring the area.

Easily one of the best places we’ve stayed. The convenience, amenities and value were phenomenal and these hosts go above and beyond to give you a comfortable and very leisurely experience. Being able to get a last-minute reservation here on our way home was so fortunate for us, and we’ll definitely be back! Usually this is a convenient stopping point for us when travelling between WA and CA, but now we are already talking about coming back to this very spot for a dedicated vacation here. The suite has everything you could need and more— huge bonus points for great WiFi, private hot tub, and bussing station and laundry baskets right outside the door. Easy check in. The property outside was so wonderful, we loved being greeted by free range turkeys when we got out of the car, and walking the property to see all the livestock and fun features of the place. Between that and the interior style, it really feels like the perfect authentic Northern CA getaway. Looking forward to being back soon!

This was an amazing and private spot to enjoy views of Shasta. The mountain looked surreal and the star gazing at night was some of the best we could ask for. It is on private property but set back a good distance from the house with unobstructed views of the valley and mountain. The main gravel road was minimally traveled and also made for a great walk right from the camp site as the surrounding area is undeveloped as well. We would definitely return and recommend to others. Alex was also very responsive and gave us a heads up on some heavy winds that were expected which was a nice warning as the weather had been beautiful so the wind was unexpected.

My husband and I had a great time tent camping here!! We went during the off-season so it was extra quiet and the whole place was elaborately decorated for Halloween - including a haunted walk-through path, which was such a treat! There was a heated bathroom with showers and a cute camp store as well. Being next to I5 there was car noise but we found it to be more like white-noise than annoying. Our tent site was in the main part of the camp, but we walked up the short hill to where the other tent sites are and Mt Shasta is right there staring you down! It was beautiful. Also a bonus was all the farm animals! There were chickens, roosters, turkeys, goats, and more, and two cute little camp kittens led us around when we were exploring. We didn't get a chance during our short stay to meet the host, but she's provided such a fun and comfortable place to stay and we would definitely stay there again.
