Crater Lake Resort

28 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents13 acres · Chiloquin, OR
Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters. Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village. Please note: We do allow pets in our sites for $10 per night. Alpaca on the Rocks

5 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents5 acres · Weed, CA
Our ranch, Alpaca on the Rocks, is 5 acres, located near the small town of Weed in northernmost California. We have 10 alpaca along with mini-donkeys and horses, a mini-mule, assorted cats and dogs, Icelandic sheep, and Kune Kune pigs. This is quite a place: There are the sounds - the odd mutterings of the alpaca, the constant hooting of doves, the off and on braying of donkeys. There are the sights of the country life that surrounds us, the cattle and sheep of the ranch behind us, and the horses grazing in the meadow across the road. And a final and impossible to miss addition to the sights and sounds for you to take home - the solitary 14,179 foot Mount Shasta presiding calmly over its domain.

Also a art gallery of their artwork is on site in the office. Come and enjoy! Their ranch, Heartline Ranch & Tipi Village is on Crater Lake Highway (Hwy 62) just 26 miles down from Crater Lake. They have designated 15 acres for a primitive Campgrounds and Tipi village sites. September of 2020 we were sadly effected by the Wildfire- TwoFourTwo which took 5 of our 6 tipis. We have been able to clean up, regrow and make ready for camping guests. We once again have 6 tipis, all beautiful, and in addition, 6 new camping sites for people with their own tents. Sorry, NO rv's (vans are allowed.) Its wonderful to see all the beautiful regrowth, and to see that most of our trees have regenerated. It is now once again a beautiful place to be. It is their love for this land and a desire to share the beauty and Native experience with others to led them to open up these campgrounds. There is 15 acres in the immediate campgrounds & 6 tipi sites and 6 camping sites for folks with their own tents, so LOTS of privacy. Our ranch has 250 acres of land, great hiking trails that you will have access to for hiking, next to the Winema National Forest, and connected to the Pacific Crest Trail. You will have space to enjoy this beauty. The owner's horses are rescue horses and are their own private property. Please do NOT feed them or go up to them without the owners being there. Horses have delicate stomachs. Our gentle giants are mellow but very big so please stay OUT of their pasture. You may help us during their feeding time, if you ask owners.

Oak Ring Ridge

1 site · Lodging60 acres · Macdoel, CA
We originally purchased the 20 acres of untouched land and built our cabin, the "Snug Shack," as a getaway from the city. Fast forward a few years, and 40 acres next door with an abandoned house on the canyon ridge went up for sale. We decided to purchase it and start a homestead there. That 40 acres where we now live was badly abused, and we have been in the process of cleaning up and restoring it. Fortunate for you, the land surrounding the Snug Shack was never abused and is still pristine and beautiful. By camping at the Snug Shack, you help support us in our mission to restore this beautiful place. We named our homestead after the rings of small oak trees that grow here on the ridge.: "Oak Ring Ridge." You can learn more about our project in progress at our website and instagram account: @oak_ring_ridge
