We loved staying here!! Kat and her husband are both friendly and helpful, and they are excellent communicators. The farm is beautiful, peaceful, and dog-friendly. The site had everything we needed. The laundry and available shower were most appreciated, and the dogs had a great time smelling all the smells. We would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Ascension Ranch

Oak Savannah was a great spot - very secluded and still relatively close to the lake. Two friendly dogs hung out at our campsite for most of the trip, which was fun during the day. The only downside was that they barked and howled a lot at night, which made it a bit tough to sleep. Still, I’d definitely go back and would love to try out some of the other campsites too.

We slept in Ryan's VW Camper which was very comfortable. I'd be happy camping out on his lawn without a tent as the weather gets better. Nice easy walk to Mokelumne Hill. I like hanging out in hotel bars in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Ryan's outdoor shower was good with plenty of hot water. Nice gas burners and fresh water from a sink. Too bad we didn't notice that Frank's Cafe is closed on Sunday. We waited until Sunday and blew it. The sound of traffic wasn't bothersome and his dogs are super friendly. Plenty of firewood. We brought our own cookware, but there was stuff there. I'd camp there again if I'm spending the night in Moke Hill.

3 nights at Camp Electra

We loved staying in the VW camper- it was very restful. Short walk to the town, and Ryan was very helpful. Bathroom and small kitchen were clean and functional. Had a blast having a campfire, something we never do anymore. Thanks again Ryan-I hope will be back. I recommend this hipcamp 100%!

Booked last minute and a great choice! Beautiful property, vineyard…views ….winemaker ….cider making guru. Aaron gave an impromptu tasting and crazy good educational experience about what and why he makes his wines and ciders “his” way. So good! Campsites kinda close together but lots of privacy and no issues with noise etc. Planning to stay there again soon!!

The ride in was very scenic. The place itself remote. Had a relaxing night. Only drawback is that i cant download the Hipcamper app. So there was a small hiccup at the gate. But thats not on Ascention. Id def recommend of you like rural but not too rural. Perfect for familys.

Loved it! Secluded and private. Easy to get in and out of. Cynthia was always quick to answer questions and was very accommodating. There was a picnic table and level ground. Easy hook-up to electric and water (just remember your 50amp adaptor if your a 30 amp rig). Will definitely stay again!

Weekend Trip to Ascension Ranch

We stayed at Hidden Oaks at Ascension Ranch and had a wonderful time! The meadow was so pretty with beautiful horse and the working dogs running around. The lake access was easy to drive to (and very walkable) and from there a 3 minute walk to the lake. Checking in was so easy, the site had a picnic table and a pit for a campfire, and good shade. I would definitely recommend this spot and would totally go back again one day!

This place is a treasure! I wish I had arrived earlier so I could have enjoyed it to the fullest but I’m so glad I arrived at sunset because it was truly breathtaking. The site was clean and I had plenty of space to spread out since no one was in the site next to me. I slept extremely relaxed and comfortable, the weather was perfect and I felt very safe. This is an excellent Hipcamp and I will definitely be back!

We are in love the horses came right up to us and we so sweet to our kids it’s so beautiful bring bug spray for sure but besides that it’s amazing we took the trail to the lake and the kids absolutely loved it they wanted to stay all day we had the best Easter weekend ever here as a family thank you guys again we will be back !!

The campsites are all lovely. We stayed in Curley, an RV site. It was spacious and had the perfect balance of shade and sun with beautiful green exploding everywhere around us and plenty of wildflowers as well. The bathrooms were clean, and we enjoyed the ping pong and volleyball court.

There is lots of shade from the trees and areas to lounge on comfy chairs or in a hammock and read and relax. There are a few areas you could set up camp and smaller trailers, RV's and Vans could easily access them. Larger Trailers/RV's could park in the main driveway and still enjoy the space, so don't hesitate to ask and I'd be happy to see if I can make accommodations. There is lots to do nearby: Hiking, Biking, Water Sports, Wineries, Shopping, Farms, Apple Hill, Auburn, Placerville, El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Coloma, Georgetown are all a short drive away (<30mins).

There is a small creek which is an NID ditch and chairs set up there for relaxing. For being close to town the spot has a lot of beautiful nature! All Corners property is unusual in that it has meadows, grey pine ecosystems as well as mixed conifer fir/pine/madrone forests. Walk to Ring of Bone Zendo, Mini local neighborhood playground and trails on BLM property. 3 miles from North Columbia Schoolhouse, 4 miles from Ananda Village, close to Malakoff Diggins State Park. A very quiet place to stage your Yuba Watershed adventure. Mountain biking and hiking on dirt roads, lots of wildlife. You'll start your slowed-down adventure as soon as you drive 3 miles down Jackass Flats road, through historic mining areas and into a literary 'hood that has homed Gary Snyder, Allen Ginsberg and Governor Moonbeam.
