The land was purchased from the railroad in 1908 by Grandpa Coen when he immigrated to the USA after his service to the British Empire during WW1.
Grandpa established and maintained the vineyards during his life in California's Central Valley which he left to his daughter, Irene. She kept the farming tradition going with her husband, Al, and they expanded by purchasing surrounding land and planting more vines. Today their daughter, Cheryl, and son-in-law Rand continue the family farming tradition for the next century.

Nestled along the edge of the Sierra National Forest, this hidden retreat blends adventure, comfort, and sustainability. The surrounding area offers no shortage of nearby highlights, including Shaver Lake, the giant sequoias of McKinley Grove, the trails and swimming holes of the Dinky Creek Wilderness, year-round recreation at China Peak, and day trips to Yosemite, Sierra, and Kings Canyon National Parks, home to the General Sherman Tree. Many guests, however, find the waterfalls, forest, and dark skies here more than enough to fill their stay. Spend your days swimming in natural pools, stargazing through our shared telescope, or resting in a hammock beneath towering cedars. Four secluded sites keep a light footprint on the land and include composting toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables. Our conservation ethos is guided by the original caretakers of this region—the Nüümü, known today as the Mono or Potuck people. Rather than relying on massive machine-cut firebreaks, aerial pesticide spraying, or “pines in lines” replanting, we take a slower, place-based approach. We use controlled burning, hands-on fuel reduction, selective native plant culling, and encourage the land to regenerate naturally. Just as important, we believe sharing the land is essential, because stewardship only lasts when people are connected to it. This is a rugged mountain property. Terrain can be steep, rocks near the creek are often slick, and nights are very dark. Campers should be prepared for off grid camping and up for adventure!

We were lucky enough to meet Cheryl and Randy after they were done working in the field. Cheryl told me the history of the area while Randy gave a tour of the tractor to our daughter. The land was beautiful but the hosts were the cherry on top of an incredible visit. We would visit again!

We had such an incredible experience staying here. The property is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and truly the perfect place to disconnect and relax. The views alone made the stay unforgettable, and you can really feel how special and well-cared-for the space is.
Shandie was an amazing host from start to finish. She was kind, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful, even checking in and offering help if anyone needed anything. Her generosity and hospitality made us feel comfortable and appreciated, and it meant so much to be able to stay somewhere so serene and inviting.

I enjoyed my stay here. Lots of land so you can choose to be more secluded or camp next to the other friendly campers. Spencer’s a great guy and his dogs are friendly. The amenities weren’t the best I’ve seen but they were available nonetheless. The price for a tent site is 100% worth it. Also, not included in the description of the site (unless I missed it) he has some dirt bike trails on property so that was a plus!

this site worked well both as a first night out campsite on my way down to Tucson from Southern oregon, and then again on the way back. There is not too much available camping along the I five and 99 corridors so this site helps to fill that void. Since I am a van camper, I appreciated the restroom on site. I had a peaceful nights sleep both nights I stayed.

What a treasure! We stayed here during a conference at the monastery and plan on coming back whenever we are in the area. Spencer was very accommodating and respectful. The yurt was cozy - although it was freezing overnight the heater kept things bearable. The environs were peaceful and relaxing.

I absolutely loved Michael's camping spot! The drive up through the valley was super easy, beautiful, and very much enjoyable. The lot itself had tons of places to put down your tent, and a great spot for a fire. I loved walking around the property and looking at the different trees nearby. Will definitely be returning for a weekend getaway.

Delilah Winery and Camp is such a beautiful and unique spot to stay! My husband and I only booked one night and I wish we could have stayed longer. Our trailer, the bathrooms, and the kitchenette were clean and well stocked! It was a chilly evening but the electric heater that Kirsten provided was plenty to cut the chill. In the morning we really enjoyed the unique planters, fish, gift shop, very friendly cat Bobbi, and the coffee shop that was only a 5 min walk away. I would definitely stay again in the future.

Mona made sure I had good directions. She and her husband were friendly and greeted me upon arrival, even though it was a little late. They made sure I got oriented and had what I needed. The location is peaceful for overnight, and there are hookups available for RV or dry camp parking for van camping. The restroom available at the back of the house is an added bonus. If you're a birder, this place is great. My Merlin app picked up something like 15 different species from me just standing in the driveway fixing breakfast. I'll be back!

We stay at Cheryl‘s vineyard over new year‘s eve. We needed a stay for the night spontaneously and were super happy, that Cheryl answered on our request so quickly. When we arrived we figured out, that we can‘t plug in the electricity hook up with our cable of the rental van and Cheryl offered us to park behind the shed to use the other hook up for her tractor. It was rainy and it was late and it was our second night with the van on new years, we are still thankful that she was available and helped us through the phone when we arrived! It‘s a super peaceful and quiet spot, exactly what we were looking for!
