The 2nd area is “1 Pine” accessed by our second driveway that is 100 yards down the road from the farm. The drive goes up a couple hundred yards to the hilltop where there is a clearing and, you guessed it, 1 pine tree. From the back of the clearing there is a trail that leads you to 2 Pine, which is a walk that takes just a few minutes. 2 Pine is walk-in only but has great views of the sunset and is totally secluded and private and would be a good spot to either bring some friends for a little sunset party or for someone who wants to seriously unplug. We have one bathhouse with flushing toilets and heated showers; additional portables and vault toilets are located throughout the campground for convenience. Important notes: We are off-grid. There is no electricity in the campground with exception of a small solar powered system to operate our entry gate, guest Wi-Fi and intercom. Outlets are not available for guest use. All water is labeled non-potable. Guests may purify/filter at their discretion. Our campground is home to wildlife. You can minimize unwanted encounters by properly storing food and garbage. There is minimal privacy from other campers due to the placement of the sites and the way our trees and vegetation is trimmed for fire resistance. All guests and vehicles must be registered upon arrival.

This site is situated at the base of sinal mountain in Jackson Ca, just 3 miles off highway 88 and 49. It’s feels like it’s miles away from civilization, with a beautiful country road that meanders through gold country. Raley’s , tractor supply and lake tabeaud are only 3 miles away. We personally live here on 5 acres and have one acre dedicated to RV camping. Kirkwood ski resort is a 40 minute drive and South Lake Tahoe is 1.5 hours up 88. There are wonderful wineries in the Shenandoah Valley about 25 minutes away and the beautiful town of Sutter creek with shops, antiques and restaurants. The camp site is surrounded by oak trees and has a gravel ground to help keep dust down.

Some spots have both so check in first. This property has great energy! Spend all day at the river to avoid the heat or use the sprinklers at the property and cool off under the oaks. we’ve stayed at John’s farm 3 times now, once in spring and twice in late November. every time it has been so amazing! the property is gorgeous and there’s so much open grassy areas to wander and sit on a blanket and just enjoy being in nature and not hearing any sounds but cows mooing! the porta potty is always clean and the camping spaces are large and well equipped with fire pits and wood! i would highly recommend John’s land to anyone. thank you again for sharing your property, John!

Weekend Trip to Camp Electra in Mokelumne Hill

Ryan was a great host and very gracious. We purchased firewood from him and he brought us kindling twice when we were having trouble, teaching us about making fires along the way. We have an RV, but there is an outhouse with toilet and hot shower, and a sink to do dishes on the other side. Great view of the stars with minimal light pollution. Would recommend.

I had the camping area to myself due to the time of year and it was the perfect blend of a quiet experience in the woods that I was looking for and close enough to Murphy's to be able to pick up a few supplies. Check in was super easy and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I loved our stay at Aaron’s vineyard. Our camper van was parked over looking the grape vines. We spent Saturday afternoon tasting wine at the outdoor tasting room, with a beautiful sunset. Aaron was very nice and accommodating. Will definitely be back again!

Pam, Dolores, Michel and crew make the stay at Sierra Circles/ Brice Station/ Quyle Pottery a multi-dimensional experience! Upon arrival, you immediately feel the love of 3 generations of folks who have worked on this land. Michel's incredible sculpture garden is on a beautiful knoll with great views of the area. The campsites are perfect for adventurous campers...RVs shouldn't expect hook-ups and level parking areas, but the artwork, dark skies and prolific bird life are worth it. Michel's sculptures change throughout the day as the sun migrates across the sky. A short walk down the hill takes you to the winery/tasting room, engulfed with Dolores's horticultural magic. Pam's pottery tour takes you back to another time. The music venue is sublime....we will definitely make another trip to see a show! Thank you so much for your warmth and gracious hosting! So many things to do nearby...visiting Big Trees, historic Murphy's and Columbia, wine tasting, etc. Plan to stay for at least 2 nights!

We had a nice stay at Sierra Circles camping site, Iron Teepee. We went wine tasting ant Brice Station and really enjoyed both the wine and the friendly host. The campsite was well maintained. We appreciated that Michel, our host, took the time to chop extra wood for us- it was a nice touch.
