Sage (named for our beloved 15 year old lab who passed) is a conveniently located property right on Highway 88 in Pioneer, California. Warm and inviting, Sage is a relaxing, modern spot for people heading up to Kirkwood for skiing or for nature, lakes, and fishing. Our place offers a fully operational commercial style communal outdoor kitchen, a small stage, huge redwood, slab dining table, and 14 acres of camping area. It also offers a beautiful 8 foot stock tank hot tub with the freshest clean snowpack water. So clean that it shares an aquifer with Crystal Geyser bottled water. These are all communal spaces. Please keep this in mind when booking, and be prepared to meet some great folks. Be kind to one another and enjoy the experience. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a tent/RV site or a camper as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to sit outside and read for days, enjoy campfires and eat s'mores. For more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities, such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards, bird watching, available in the area. We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slow paced life instead. At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted, or re-used. We prefer to use products that are produced in a sustainable way and avoid those that aren't. We are continuously reducing the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility which is an hour away. We co-opt the drive with other activities to reduce waste. We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. We use plant and planet friendly detergent. We're based in a desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day activities and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh-water resources. We hope you can help us maintain this greener camping! Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, and Twin Lakes, as well as the historic gold-mining town of Bodie, CA are all within a short drive from our place. We're proud to know this area intimately and are excited to share the secret spots with you. The excellent hiking/running trails including the Pacific Crest Trail, thousands of miles of ATV, dirt bike and mountain bike trails are accessible right from our camp or within a short drive from here. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in remote wilderness settings. Pet Policy All our RV & Tent sites are pet friendly and we allow up to two dogs per reservation for a small fee. We can also accommodate up to two four-legged campers in our pet-friendly Baja or Tatra trailers for a small fee, we ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard. Welcome to the cabin with the best views in all of Arnold. Many guests return year after year. A generator ensures that power outages do not affect your ability to enjoy your stay. Every room is light and bright. We back up to open forest where you get a sense of privacy. A private hillside with provided sleds allows kids many hours of fun. The large kitchen is well stocked. A complimentary bottle of wine awaits you. We are very close to Spicer SNO park and Bear Valley Ski resort. The space The home contains three bedrooms (2 bedrooms + loft) and sleeps 6 comfortably. NO STAIRS! The driveway pulls right up to the front door. We are one of only a few properties that have no stairs to navigate to the front door. HANDICAP-FRIENDLY Our property is handicap and elderly friendly! There is a queen room on the entry-level floor making it easy for handicappe or elderly to enjoy the house without climbing stairs. Access to the great views from the backyard deck also requires no stairs or steps. Elderly individuals will find the home easy to navigate and vacation in. THE KING ROOM (UPSTAIRS) The large upstairs bedroom features a California king bed, sitting area, walk-in closet, and a private balcony to enjoy an early morning coffee while looking out over the 50-mile view. Be sure to leave time to admire the one-of-a-kind 4' X 6' stained glass window, a centerpiece decoration of distinctive beauty created by a locally-renowned artist. As you drift off to sleep, enjoy the streaming-in moonlight from the two skylights that adorn the pine-covered ceiling. The large upstairs bathroom contains a two-person jetted tub looking out on the forest view, dual-sinks, a make-up vanity, and a large walk-in shower. LOFT In the loft area, you will find two twin beds, a private work-station, a custom bench along the window, a new 9' shuffleboard, and a 4-person card table to enjoy family games together. We also have a plethora of games to choose from. THE QUEEN ROOM (DOWNSTAIRS) The downstairs bedroom features a queen-sized bed with a Tempurpedic plush pillow top mattress. Lots of windows contribute to a light and bright atmosphere. The lower bathroom is equipped with a bathtub-shower combo.

This property is a hidden gem, it is so beautiful and Bobby is very welcoming. My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway for a night. Like the description says, bring you snacks. That’s exactly what we did, this spot has everything else you need. Everything from cooking on the open fire to the spa was a great experience. We will definitely be back for another glamping trip!

3 nights at VIEWS! Pine View Lodge *Jetted Tub*

My Pine View lodge stay was over the top in many ways, lots of nice details to make you feel at home. There was everything needed to enjoy dinners on the deck, including a beautiful forest view along with peace and quiet. The host, Gary, kept in touch with suggestions for activities and dining out options. He was most gracious in his communications and very easy to work with on arrangements. An A+++ experience.

We 10000% recommend staying here🤎🌲 if you’re looking for a place that feels straight out of a movie—dog friendly, peaceful, remote, and surrounded by nature singing around you. From the moment we booked, Bobby was an amazing host—warm, attentive, and super communicative. He knew we wouldn’t have signal, so he made sure to be there right on time to guide us in. When we arrived, he gave us a full tour and made it clear everything on the property was for us to enjoy. We felt welcome and at home every moment. The open-air kitchen in the forest is pure magic, and it has everything you could ever need, from pans to spices. One of our favorite moments was connecting to his Spotify and playing our music while cooking under the trees. There’s always a fire going— perfect for s’mores, deep talks and stargazing 💫 The place is incredibly dog-friendly🐶 We have two Australian Shepherds who were allowed off-leash the whole time. They had the best time! During the day, we hiked and explored. At night, we soaked in the jacuzzi right outside our room—perfect temperature, peaceful vibes. Before leaving, Bobby recommended Silver Lake to continue our adventure. And something really special—he helped me find a nature souvenir (a beautiful branch!) for my travel tradition. Truly one of our most memorable stays. We’ll be back! Thank you, Bobby.

3 nights at Paradise Shores Camp

Overall a great stay. We visited during April so the other camp spots were closed. It was quiet except for the occasional car/trucks driving by. 30-45 min scenic drive to mono lake depending on the visit location. It would have been close to Bodie state park except the regular road to the park was closed in mid April. The long way took about an hour on gravel and dirt road still worth the visit though. Very close to the natural hot spring.
