Slide Ranch is a nonprofit organization established in 1970, becoming one of the first Park Partners in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Slide Ranch is located on the Marin coast, on land that has a rich history in connecting people to food. The Coast Miwok once fished and foraged for food at this site, and in the late 19th century Portuguese dairy farmers purchased the land and produced milk and butter for residents of San Francisco. In 1969, 134 acres of this fertile coastline were rescued from commercial development. Slide Ranch camping fees directly fund scholarships for youth programs throughout the year. Slide Ranch is an unpaved ranch environment. Our trails and garden paths all consist of uneven, sloping terrain, often muddy or soft ground during the winter season, and may be challenging to access for visitors with significant mobility restrictions. Minors aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No pets allowed; service animals are permitted. We do not have showering facilities or flush toilets. Loved everything about Sana and William’s - we were greeted by Meowsicle the cat upon our arrival, we enjoyed beautiful sunsets over the forest and ocean views straight from our tent, and ate farm fresh eggs every morning! We also loved being visited by the friendly goats (who loved chin scratches). Sana and William were both very friendly and helpful whenever we needed them. I would absolutely stay here again.

1 night at Slide Ranch

I was the only camper! I weathered 3 hours of rain and wind to spend a night on Quail Hill. By 5 pm it had cleared and the morning was absolutely clear, calm and blue. I hiked all the trails and liked the Muir Beach Overlook, 1.4 miles. It's a gradual up with memorable views of the coast and ocean the whole way. Tent #1 held up in the wind, had two cots and two camp chairs. Spectacular views and the sound of the ocean all night. 5 minutes from the parking lot, downhill and then up a short steep path. It felt private. Loved it.

The tent cabins are built on the side of a steep hill so the trails down to them are rugged, but there are steps and railings to assist. The cabins are very comfortable and have everything you need. The goats are fun to interact with. The eggs from the chickens are really good. The view is spectacular and the hosts are extremely accommodating.

my partner and i stayed at Sana's camp for our anniversary, and it was the most perfect overnight trip to celebrate! even before arriving, Sana had been very responsive to any questions i had and was very prompt with responses throughout our stay as well. the moment we arrived, we were greeted by their friendly cat (the best way to start the stay) and then Sana welcomed us and showed us around. we were immediately enamoured with the charm of the place, and the view from our tent was so beautiful! the campsite amenities were thoughtful, comprehensive, and clean. i don't think i'd ever been camping with such clean and tidy amenities before! and they even had complimentary eggs for us from their chicken coop! so sweet! each tent was far enough from each other to offer ample privacy while also not feeling too isolated. our tent specifically came with a rope hammock to lay in! this is indeed a very romantic spot so perfect for any couples celebrating. i would definitely visit again and recommend to my friends! thank you Sana! :)

I stayed in Tent #2 with my sister and it exceeded our expectations. The view was unreal, everything was so clean, bed was comfortable and only a short little inclined walk to the bathroom. William came and lit the fire for us at the lookout so we could watch the sun set over the pacific. I highly recommend this site!

We had the greatest time!! Spent a weekend with our 15 month old and two dogs. There was so much for our toddler to explore, plus enough privacy to not have to worry about our dogs barking at every little noise. Amazing experience! The suspension net was my favorite! Sunset was gorgeous. Close walk to the bathroom. Yurt was clean and immaculate and well stocked. Our host was friendly and informed on the area when we had dinner/hiking questions. Will definitely go back!

From the minute I pulled in I was I was greeted by the kindest soul Sana that took me to my canvas tent! This place has everything you can imagine and more! Bed was comfortable. Everything was clean ! The bathrooms and shower was equipped with everything you needed. And the common area has bbqs , games, kitchen area and a lookout for a bonfire. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous from the deck…overlooking half moon bay. I slept with the tent unzipped the entire night! The fog rolled in the morning but still made a beautiful view. So many trails to explore all around ! I would definitely stay there again !

Weekend Trip to Moon Crest Valley Ranch

We had such an incredible experience here! My friend and I stayed here for some yapping and immersing in nature time together over the weekend - the land is BEAUTIFUL overlooking some incredible canyons. There’s so much to do here, we frolicked around on some hikes, played a bit of baseball up on the hill, made a campfire and enjoyed the complimentary smore kit. Brendan provided absolutely everything we needed - he was such an incredible and thoughtful host, greeted us when we arrived and also gave us a tour of the land! Overall, 10/10 experience, and I feel so fortunate to have been able to spend time here and would highly recommend staying for the weekend.

It rained while we were at Fancy Camp but luckily the tent was cozy and dry. The eggs were delicious (we bought more at the farm stand) and the tent had everything we needed. Sana and her partner take lovely care of their property. It was a nice place to stay!
