This private pad is large enough for a few RVs and all the toys. 4WD vehicles are highly recommended, and mandatory during poor weather or when pulling a trailer. The 12 miles of dirt roads get heavy traffic and are usually in poor condition with extensive washboard and rocks, requiring slow driving and extra attention. Winters at this 2600 foot elevation can bring a few inches of snow. Summers put on the seasonal monsoon show, Spring and Fall are always enjoyable with cooler nights, often even chilly. There are the usual desert critters to beware of: bark scorpions, rattlesnakes of all kinds, mountain lions on the prowl, and some poisonous spiders. Other abundant wildlife is also present: foxes, skunks, javelina, bobcats, mule deer, ringtail cats, raccoons, coyotes, and many kinds of birds. You'll likely also see herds of wild burros and some cattle grazing nearby, they tend to leave droppings everywhere. Target practice is common in the area and even allowed at this site. There is a large stone firepit for guest campfires, firewood may be provided but not guaranteed. A large trash can is available on site for guests, please use it. There is no water available at or near the site, you will need to bring all the water and supplies you require during your stay. The nearest services are along Lake Pleasant Pkwy. off Highway 74 and four miles further south at Happy Valley Rd. Another large shopping area is at Highway 74 and I-17. Weekend Trip to Rural Ranch & Petting Farm

It was a lovely little ranch with all kinds of animals. The hostess was super accommodating and showed my 2 girls around and introduced them to the animals and let them help feed and water them too. Holly was great and I hope to go back again soon! My little ones didn't want to leave. The RV spot for us was easy to get in and out of. Power, water, and septic hookups were exactly where they needed to be, couldn't have asked for a better place or host. If you have kiddos they'll love it, I know mine has a blast.

A out of the way place from the busy city of Sedona. Host were very pleasant and all the hookups were avaliable. Lots of local things to explore nearby: the town of Cottonwood, winery's, and a old mining town of Jerome.

Jeffrey keeps a beautifully landscaped resort with more amenities than expected. The property was quiet and the location was easy to access. The dog park a special treat and much appreciated. We will definitely return again.

Another fantastic stay at Jennifer’s. Stayed 12 more nights and hiked 47 miles. Great location to Cottonwood, Jerome, and Sedona. With the fenced in yard I could play ball with my poodle every afternoon. Full hook ups and nice neighborhood. I’ll see you guys in 2027!

The covered dry camp had a terrific view of the valley and beautiful Arizona sunsets. Emily was very nice to deal with. I stayed two days, just resting. I enjoyed watching Emily train her dogs to run an obstacle course! It was a fun, peaceful time and I highly recommend her and her camp.

Increíble experience. Only stayed one night, but highlights included the majestic Zeus, a friendly farm dog, errant pigs running around, baby goats and sheep, and a turkey named Diamond that wanted a pet. Our host was gracious and helpful, and was so warm and friendly to our 5 year old son. Highly recommend.

Jennifer and George are the perfect hosts. There if you need them and otherwise give you your privacy. It’s a perfect location for hiking Sedona. I could be on the trail in 20 min. Also from camp it’s a great walk down to Oak Creek low water bridge. I stayed for 4 nights and then rebooked for 12 more!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better location, property, and hosts! Super welcoming and helpful. The property is gorgeous and the amenities are plentiful. Loved the animals and felt extremely safe staying in my camper by myself. Amazing stay for the month I booked. I will be coming back again this fall and next spring!

Weekend Trip to Mountain View Retreat

Great camp location with easy access to conveniences while still being close to trails, countryside, mountains, and great hiking. The camp is professionally run, and it shows — the host has truly thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and easy. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the friendly goats, and the free-range chickens were the most well-mannered we’ve ever seen — present but never intrusive. A relaxing, well-organized spot that we’d absolutely stay at again. Highly recommended.
