Hemlock Point Campground is set on a private waterway fed by the Black River, nestled among forests and rocky ridges. The river offers a unique swimhole in between rapids, and bass fishing within walking or paddling range. Campers may also park at owners (1426) to shorten the hike to the swimhole (see trail map). Each campsite is spacious with a private driveway, outhouse, picnic table, propane BBQ, bicycles, and more. As well as using the canoe (or kayaks at Brookside) provided, campers are also welcome to hike the marked and groomed waterfront hiking trails throughout the 56 acre property, and just down the road is Mt.Moriah, a Buddhist Temple, and numerous backcountry trails, reserves, and lakes. ATV's are permitted on the road, (gateway to trails to Lingham, Deer Rock, Caniff, and Skootamatta Lakes) and friendly dogs are welcome off leash. This is a unique gelogical landscape, situated between Mt. Moriah, the Elzevir pluton complex and the Black River in an ultramafic zone, with coloured quartz veins and pillowed granite outcroppings. Mixed forest with varied species of deciduous and conifer trees - due to aerial seeding after a forest fire over 80 years ago, leaving charred stumps that can still be found from natural char preservation. Home to pileated woodpeckers, hawks, eagles and kingfishers, otters, fishers, salamanders, bass and bullhead and everything in between, either from the vantage of a hammock or on a hike in the forest this natural site won't disappoint.

We are 15 minutes north off Trans Canada Highway, Blind River. 5-6 hours northwest of Toronto and 9 hours east of Thunder Bay, between Sault Saint Marie and Sudbury. Looking for a wilderness get away or just driving through? We can accommodate. Backwater Paradise has possibilities for several camping styles. whether you bring your own RV, easy tenting or choose to go deep and experience raw wilderness/survival in our Left Field. There is a water tower providing utility water for washing or extinguishing camp fires. We have a quiet atmosphere for new and savvy nature lovers. s. There are no lights on this lake which makes it perfect for star gazing. The main entrance is very well marked and leads to the lake. This is where we host RV sites and tent sites. All nature watchers and sky gazers will enjoy the spaces we have here. Moose, bald eagles. wolves, otters, beavers, bears, owls and several migratory birds are common visitors. You will get to hear whippoorwills, several species of frogs, crickets, and sometimes wolves/coyotes at night. It is very important that pets be kept on a leash. In the lake there is plenty of bass and pike to keep a fisher and kid fishers busy. Common gear will work here and strongly recommend using wire swivel leaders. We promote 'lake 2 plate' principles and if you need anything let us know!! All campers have use of the water front no matter where your site is. On the shore of the lake front is a very large common area and firepit and picnic tables for everyone to access and enjoy the water and the shoreline. We host fires Friday and Saturday nights weather permitting at this location. There are several firepit rings to allow campers to have their own camp fire and we sell hardwood. We also have a paddle boat rental. There is 30 acres of mixed forest, lake and marsh, and now we are able to be open year round. You will notice that some of the photos have brown for grass. Those are earlier pictures of when we first opened. All of our expanded areas are like that at first, and things have changed a lot over the last 4 years and, will continue to have "unkempt" areas as we continue to expand. Our newest listings this year are called Almost Paradise (shower unit) and more recently Rootbound Ranch (camping for those travelling with livestock or horses.) This also available for those that like to stay at a farm. If Backwater Paradise is full, you can enjoy the same attributes just across the road at Almost Paradise. Another site we have is Left Field. Its raw bush and field space in the center. This is where the marsh is. We are also working on a new trail between Backwater Paradise and Left Field and encourage our campers to enjoy the views of both of these spaces.

Welcome to our family-friendly farm! We are open year-round and are located in Hanmer, Ontario in the Greater Sudbury area. While staying with us, we encourage you to take a farm tour, try the petting zoo or enjoy the scenery.
With over 60 acres of farmland, our private and secluded campsites are level and are ideal for any type of camping, from tents to large RVs and everything in between, we can accommodate anyone looking to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. The property offers flat farm fields that back onto wooded areas with a river, pond, and nearby hiking trails!
A firepit is provided (Firewood available to purchase) and if you are planning on cooking we have pots and pans upon request. If you need water please feel free to fill up at the house. We also have an outhouse on site.
30 lakes are within a half-hour drive, great for fishing! Sudbury is in a crater, so there are lots of interesting rocks to see if geology interests you. We also have many trail plans for ATV and snow machines (permits required). Seasonal blueberry picking is also available on-site. We are only 10 minutes away from the Train Museum, a must-see while in the area!

We live in a beautiful area nestled in the woods just seconds away from amenities, half a kilometer off Highway 17. It is very private here. We are homesteaders and love our land. We grow our own food, our own herbs and our own chickens. If you're here during the right time, you might see a few chicks running around . In our town we have a small grocery store, a convenience store with gas and we have an LCBO
You can park in the driveway with you RV or on the lawn with your tent. You will have access to electricity and water. You can also use the bathroom and shower. You must provide your own extension cord and water hose I do have some here if need be but I am not sure they would be long enough. There is a beautiful Lake just down the street. Another half a kilometer away for you to go. Kayaking, swimming or just sightseeing. There is also a spot for you to climb the mountain. The marina here in town is absolutely beautiful and they have a lookout for you to climb. I believe it's 132 steps. This is the highlight of our little town.

We recommend that you park on the upper portion of this driveway/road and walk or use an ATV to travel on the trail to the lake. As mentioned, there is about a 40 ft incline just as you approach the clearing down by the lake . Please wear running/walking shoes and descend slowly down either of the 2 trails provided. The trail "Easy Street" is definitely an easier descent and climb.

Situated just off the main road, The Ridge Retreat offers you the privacy and beauty of 6 unspoiled acres. Follow the gravel walkway/road down (5 min walk) to your amazing private dock situated on Howes Lake, Verona Ontario. Deep, clean water for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, etc. There are 2 firepits should you decide to have a campfire - one at the road site (RV and trailer) and one at the waters edge.
This property provides privacy and solitude for nature lovers. The designated RV parking spot is up near the main road along with a very nice outhouse but if you decide to tent camp, there are a few choices that would bring you closer to the water's edge. An additional outhouse is located at the top of the incline to the lake.
The gravel/asphalt trail down by the lake is the steeper of the 2 trails. Choose the "Easy Street" trail off to your right after you pass the stop sign indicating that no vehicles should drive beyond. This trail is a bit longer but a much more gradual incline.
Grocery shopping, nature trails, etc are just a few minutes away. The scenic town of Westport is a 30 min drive away with amazing shops and a local winery.

Originally inhabited by Algonquin peoples the land was cleared for farming and they erected several building including a large German style hand hewn timber frame barn which still stands and is used today. The farm house was built in the 1910 and the original log cabins have been reframed into artistic buildings. It is wild to look around and imagine what life was like before now in a time when the land had no boundry lines and was traversed by indigenous peoples of this area. Chris and Leah are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The campsite is clean, peaceful, and offers the perfect balance of privacy and socializing thanks to the shared beach area. There are plenty of fun activities for kids at the beach, and the time just flies by.
This was our second stay here, and one thing I noticed is that many of the guests are returning visitors, which says a lot about how much people enjoy this place.
We'll definitely be back!

Misty Meadows was an amazing experience! The land is very private and backs right on to the river. I was only a couple steps away from the water where free kayaks and paddleboards were open for use too! The sites are very spaced out so there is no disruption from neighbours. Chris provides a hammock for the site which was an amazing place to hangout and read a book or just relax. They also have good firewood for sale. Overall a great expereince, I did my first solo-camp here and felt very safe and happy. Thanks Chris!

We had an amazing stay! This place had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing camping trip. The toilets were clean, and the campsite was very well maintained. It was fully equipped with kayaks, fishing rods, utensils, a grill, a canopy, and convenient garbage bins, making our stay easy and enjoyable.
The property owner, Daric, was such a wonderful and accommodating host. He was friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect getaway, and we had such a great time. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic camping experience!

4 nights at Highland Farms N Stables
We are long time tenters, but this year we decided to try something different and we found this campground with the mini cabins. I will stay here at the outset that we enjoyed this place very much and we stayed for six nights. The cabins are very well kept and clean and also very private. Fortunately for us, there were no other campers on site when we were there but even if the campsite were full you would still have plenty of privacy. The owners are also super friendly and helpful.
We felt that the location was very Central to all of the other day activities that we carried out. We were able to visit several provincial parks during our stay and used this campsite as our base. We earlier had purchased a season pass for the provincial parks which paid for itself after just a few days. You can drive in several directions from this campsite and enjoy wonderful scenery, as well as several provincial parks. A brief ride into Bancroft if you want to re-enter civilization for a while and grab a quick coffee. Bancroft also has a wonderful little park right in the middle of town.
Maynooth itself has several nice little shops that you can pick up some souvenirs or other essential items. Locals are warm and friendly.
Bring extra water with you or pick it up at the entrance on the way into the campsite. Also, the mattress in the bed area may not be to everyone's liking and you may need some extra padding,so keep that in mind.
We highly recommend this place.

We absolutely loved the site! It had so many activities to keep my 4 year old, my wife and myself busy. The creek was very nice for kayaking, and great for leaning on. We can't wait for our next adventure!

Really lovely spot to get away from it all. Nice set up and appreciated the automatic light in the outhouse at night. One thing to be aware of is, the bull frogs are loud at night but fun to watch lol.

Gerry was very welcoming. He showed us the grounds, offered us the best site/view and he even lit the fire for us. We had great fun chatting at night. The next day, Gerry set up the canoe for us; very friendly and overall awesome experience!

beautiful spot!!! we got a bit rained out the weekend we stayed but it was still a great time! Gerry is so friendly and funny! hipcamp experiences are even better when the host is as awesome as Gerry! he made sure we found the place alright and helped us start a fire with his “special sauce”. definitely want to come back!!!

15 ft rooftop tent
10/10 this was exactly what I was looking for!
The site was very clean and well maintained, very spacious, and, even though you are pretty close to the other sites/dwellings, you feel very secluded. The parking pad for this site is set up the hill by the road but is nice and level and HUGE, loads of room for multiple vehicles or campers.
Outhouse is clean, garbage/ recycling conveniently located nearby.
Having the screened shelter was a huge bonus when it rained.
Though I didnt use it, having the BBQ is great on site.
It was really nice to hike the little trail across from the sites, they were well marked and easy to navigate. Daric went out and trimmed the trail just before i hiked which was awesome.
There were virtually ZERO bugs my whole stay (mid June... unheard of) but I will attribute this to the entire place being run by the bullfrog mafia (maybe bring ear plugs if you dont absolutely LOVE frog songs)
Daric's big friendly dog did come to visit me and my dogs a few times, he was welcome to join in on the group swimming activities but Daric came and retrieved him readily each time. I would say maybe if youre concerned or have a dog who isnt good with dogs (or intact males) to just let Daric know in advance, Im certain he would be accommodating, but the dog was very docile with my obnoxious dogs who were all significantly smaller than him.
Definitely plan to come back, really great location cant think of a single complaint other than the 4 hour drive 🤣

Weekend Trip to Highland Farms N Stables
A nice and cozy spot to stay. The bunkie is comfortable and bigger than you'd expect, it really is a good base for adventures in the region. Quiet and private as well. We'll be coming back I'm sure!
