There is a laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience. There is wildlife around like kangaroos, wallabies, echidna and many bird species so no pets are permitted on the property. Fires are permitted in the designated Firepit provided. This has been a highlight for guests so far. Bring your own firewood or buy along the road nearby. Guests are asked to respect the quiet environment. We’d appreciate no loud music or voices from 10pm to 7am. There is a neighbouring property behind the shed and our bedroom is within range! When you book you are booking the entire camp facility. Bring along your furry friends too - they are welcome and love the space to run around and meet other friends, please supervise them at all times and if they are likely to be unfriendly to other dogs please keep them on the leash at all times, please pick up after them and respect other peoples camping areas. Our camping ground is in Amamoor in the beautiful Mary Valley. It was once the local cricket pitch , so is a lovely flat spot to camp, with a mountain view to one side and our creek bordering the other 3 sides. It is within minutes drive from the Amamoor General store so supplies are never far away. It has easy access off Moorehouse Gully Rd and is fully fenced from the road. Upon discovering the Mary Valley, we found our farm and fell in love with the views, the mango plantation and the gorgeous nearby villages. Our property was once a pineapple farm and was part of a much larger property owned by the previous owners for over 60 years. The Mary Valley Rattler steam train is a great addition to the history of the area and stops at our local village of Amamoor. Amamoor has the village Green Cafe opened from Wednesday to Sunday and also is where the Rattler stops for refreshments on the weekends. On Saturday afternoon you can visit Dagun station down the road for a wine tasting and find fresh produce at the station market. With Kandanga village 10 minutes away, the Country Club and the Kandanga Hotel, a refreshing beer, a good meal and even a game of bowls is not far away. Cycle the rail trail , kyak the Mary River and check out the State Forest and all its trails, there is so much to explore. Cooran Brewery with live music Dingo Creek Winery a bit father on , and the coast only 50 minutes away, come and explore our wonderful part of the world. If you are looking for a quiet spot to camp, Rooster Hill Camping is for you.

Perfect spot for star-gazing with the milky way illuminated on a dark night. Great view of the full moon rising too. Tranquil and serene. Situated on quiet road in a rural setting 5 minute drive to Lake Cootharaba/ Boreen Point. Noosa Heads is approximately 25 minutes and 20 minutes to Pomona. Tent site and RV/campervan site on grassed area with power and water available. Under cover parking for campervan or tent setup is an option alongside the living area and amenities. Facilities include equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer, gas stove/oven, benchtop convection oven, kettle, toaster and all cooking utensils as well as plates, cutlery, glasses, etc. Bathroom with hot shower and a bathtub for parents with children. As we are on tank rainwater, we request that guests conserve water usage. Compost toilet is accessible up a few stairs. There is a laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience. There is wildlife around like kangaroos, wallabies, echidna and many bird species so no pets are permitted on the property. Fires are permitted in the designated Firepit provided. This has been a highlight for guests so far. Bring your own firewood or buy along the road nearby. Guests are asked to respect the quiet environment. We’d appreciate no loud music or voices from 10pm to 7am. There is a neighbouring property behind the shed and our bedroom is within range! When you book you are booking the entire camp facility. It is yours to enjoy, relax, unwind, or catch up on some rest. Please advise ETA so we can greet you on arrival and show you to your campsite. It's best to arrive before sunset to select your camp spot and set up and to enjoy the sunset views! Private land with resident owners in main house situated approximately 100m from camp site. Owners maintain permaculture gardens for self sufficiency in fruit and vegetables. Mobile phone reception is patchy but internet via WiFi is available.

We have 7 sites, four are powered, with water hook ups and fire pits, the other three have water available. At present ( soon to change ) there are no toilets or showers so please ensure you have a chemical toilet with you. Your hosts Chris and Lesley maintain the grounds to a pristine, high standard and are proud to share their peaceful and serene surroundings with their campers. There is river access on the property, where you can kayak and fish on the Mary River - flood conditions permitting ! Bring along your furry friends too - they are welcome and love the space to run around and meet other friends, please supervise them at all times and if they are likely to be unfriendly to other dogs please keep them on the leash at all times, please pick up after them and respect other peoples camping areas. We are just a short drive to Pomona, Cooran, Eumundi, and Cooroy where you'll find quaint shops, bakeries and markets, the stunning Noosa beaches are a 25 minute picturesque drive away.

Our camping ground is in Amamoor in the beautiful Mary Valley. It was once the local cricket pitch , so is a lovely flat spot to camp, with a mountain view to one side and our creek bordering the other 3 sides. It is within minutes drive from the Amamoor General store so supplies are never far away. It has easy access off Moorehouse Gully Rd and is fully fenced from the road. Upon discovering the Mary Valley, we found our farm and fell in love with the views, the mango plantation and the gorgeous nearby villages. Our property was once a pineapple farm and was part of a much larger property owned by the previous owners for over 60 years. The Mary Valley Rattler steam train is a great addition to the history of the area and stops at our local village of Amamoor. Amamoor has the village Green Cafe opened from Wednesday to Sunday and also is where the Rattler stops for refreshments on the weekends. On Saturday afternoon you can visit Dagun station down the road for a wine tasting and find fresh produce at the station market. With Kandanga village 10 minutes away, the Country Club and the Kandanga Hotel, a refreshing beer, a good meal and even a game of bowls is not far away. Cycle the rail trail , kyak the Mary River and check out the State Forest and all its trails, there is so much to explore. Cooran Brewery with live music Dingo Creek Winery a bit father on , and the coast only 50 minutes away, come and explore our wonderful part of the world. If you are looking for a quiet spot to camp, Rooster Hill Camping is for you.

Maria and Neil are truly extraordinary human beings — warm, welcoming, and incredibly considerate. The kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are immaculately clean. We’ve used compostable toilets many times before, but this is the only place we’ve experienced where it was completely odour-free and spotless! The site itself is spacious and wonderfully quiet, surrounded by trees. The natural white noise of cicadas making the whole stay relaxing and peaceful. 25 mins drive to Noosa, yet feels like a world away. We wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended.

Darren was exceptionally welcoming, down to earth, and just a good bloke all round, up for a chat and happy to talk about the land and livestock. I felt safe on the hosts land as a solo camper and can’t wait to make this one of my regular pit stops and stay longer next time for a relaxing getaway. Conveniently located just off the highway. The free ranging horses and cattle are a treat and will walk right past your camp through the bush at night, so don’t be alarmed- they kept a respectful distance. 2wd accessible, and lots of shade to choose from with lots of set ups accommodated. A good, safe, fair priced camp (the shared sites, otherwise if you want total privacy there’s another spot or two on the 170? Something acres!) Pup and I will be back soon, thanks guys 😊

David has a lovely property. Good host who escorted us on and allowed us to top up tanks with rain water. Cement slab site was good for 1 night set up. Climbed the mountain on the property in the morning to get some great views. Fuz the dog visiting our site for pats was a nice extra. Thanks David we’ll be back for another stay.

What a lovely peaceful spot to rest for a few days! A lovely walk into Gympie is close by and we got to see the Mary River Rattler on its journey. The grass is very well kept and just seeing how Angela looks after her garden shows how they like things neat and tidy. It has a real country feel but so close to town! We will be back!

Was less than 10 public parking spaces, public toilets available. Small bush trail was perfect length for families. Rock pools & creek beds were stunning!! The water temp was a smidge chilly for early spring, will be perfect as the weather warms up.

Woondum National Park and Mothar Mountain Rock pools and day use area is a beautiful spot. There is a well maintained public barbecue area, some basic National Park toilets and several hiking tracks including a short 500 m circuit for those people who just want a 15 minute walk
