Tent in The Forest is a great location to relax, unwind, and take in the serenity of living in the forest. It is also a perfect base for exploring the region. We are nestled in the hillside surrounded by Woondum National Park, Boulder and Mothar Mountains. A comfortable, off the beaten track location in Kin Kin, Noosa Hinterland, QLD. Tent in The Forest caters for those looking to surround themselves in nature. There is no traffic, no one camping beside you, no other than the bird sweet sounds of the forest and all of nature that surrounds you. When you book Tent in The Forest, you are booking the entire camp ground. It is yours to enjoy, explore, entertain, relax, unwind, or catch up on some rest. Tent in The Forest is fully self contained campsite. All linen, bedding, gas top cooker, fridge, and kitchen utensils are here for you to use. There are hammocks, camp chairs, tables, and a dining suite all for you to enjoy. We provide organic toiletries including certified organic soap, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper. Tent in The Forest is an eco friendly camp ground. We use solar power for our 12v systems, gravity fed water, and toilet waste is managed using a drop toilet which is then composted. If you are unfamiliar and want to know more about our off grid power, water, and waste systems please contact us. Outside of Tent in The Forest the beautiful township of Kin Kin awaits you. At the Black Ant Cafe, you will find Jodie Williams and her team make mouth watering food and drinks throughout the day and on Friday nights. Enjoy breakfast daily, grab a bite for lunch, or zero in on there Friday night pizza night, popular with locals and visitors. The Black Ant Cafe also is your one stop shop for essential supplies such as milk, bread, coffee, etc. The beaches of Noosa, including the national parks which surround them can be reached within the hour. Rainbow Beach, Lake Cootharabah, The Everglades, and lots more places to see and do are all within a short drive. There are just too many great places to list here. A pub true in character, established in 1914. The Country Life Hotel is a classic Australian waterhole, weatherboard exterior, tongue and groove interior, large verandahs, double hung windows, huge hardwood timber top counters, great service, with plenty of room which attracts a myriad of people over the weekends, and settles into a slower more intimate pace weekdays and nights. These two great places are only the beginning of a number of places to visit both locally, and a little further afar. The beaches of Noosa, including the national parks which surround them can be reached within the hour. Firepit, private. Please make sure your fire is kept under control. A garden hose is located at the far end behind the bathroom. A tap to connect is located on the right hand side of the hand wash basin at the near end of the bathroom. A fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen under the sink. Please make sure flame is out and no risk of re-igniting before you leave your fire unattended. Contact the owner in case of emergency. In an emergency, call 000 If unsafe to stay, leave property immediately via driveway or other safe way.

First time Glampers 🫶

This place is lovely and great for first time glampers. Its very peaceful and is a great spot to escape the city life. The outdoor kitchen space is very nice and extremely convenient with fresh water, stove and Fridge. The bathroom was also very convenient with the compostable toilet and gass shower. Ian has also painted spots on the trees located behind and up from the tent that lead to some secluded water holes. The walk is so nice and the water would have been incredible but unfortunately there hadn't been any rain so we couldn't swim in them. But still a lovely walk through the bush! There is a little town called Pomona that is about 30 minutes away and it has such a wonderful energy about it. I instantly fell in love with the simplicity and beauty. Make sure to pack, wood, fire starters and kindling Power banks - charge your torches and electronics. BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW, trust me. All and all, this place is great and definitely recommend.

Adored the hell out of this place, the views and the echoing silence of nature blew me away. The nature around us was pure bliss, would recommend taking a few extra solar or battery leds as it does get quite dark and you will not be able to see if the lights provided run out of power. If you are wanting a technology free getaway surrounded by nature this getaway is the one for you. Ian is very welcoming as a host, highly recommend booking through him for the perfect location!

Great spot! Lots of birdlife and wildlife. Really nice and private. Loved that it was so eco-conscious as well with the compost toilet/shower. Awesome way to truly disconnect and be in nature. Plus outdoor kitchen/bathroom :)

Rustic glamping alone and in nature

On the slope of a hill surrounded by nature just what was described and that’s exactly what we got. Clean linen and comfy beds and all the basic utensils needed. Bring insect repellent, mozzies appear after dark. Waking up to the sound of the dawn chorus of bird song was a treat.

Beautiful tranquil place to stay in the middle of the forest. Tent was very comfortable and facilities had everything you needed for your stay. Very peaceful and enjoyed a delicious Thai meal cooked by Ian's wife. Thank you again Ian and I'm sure we will be back in the future.

We loved staying here! Lovely spot, everything's set up for you and ready to go. There's a little walk through a trail of ferns to some nearby rock pools. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Loved staying at Ian’s place. It was serene and nested in the Noosa Hinterlands. Facilities were great and traditional Thai cuisine dinner was delicious. Definitely will recommend tent in the forest.

Amazing experience!

That was a truly amazing experience. We absolutely loved it. We had our own private rock pool and waterfall a little hike away, a fire, comfy beds,. fairy lights and the view was beautiful. Ian the host was a top bloke, showed us around and was really hospital. I would definitely go back here and its really something you need to experience. At one with nature 😍

Beautiful location, peaceful, private. The thought and effort that has gone into creating this camp is astounding, down to the smallest details. We were very happy and appreciative. Hipcamp can be hit and miss, as we have learned, but this one is all that it promises to be, and more. Very highly recommend.

Wonderful view from the campsite across the forest, beautifully secluded and surrounded by nature. Aromatic plants all over the campsite and property, and lots of wildlife drop in to say hello. Moderately hard walk to the rockpools, make sure you bring a backpack and water for the hike. Always ask for a Thai dinner while you’re there, you will regret it if you don’t!

Such a beautiful set up. Absolutely loved our stay. Everything was so comfortable and made for a really relaxing weekend getaway. Not too far from Pomona - had a lovely visit to the weekend markets. Also, the best Thai food in Australia made by Ploen.

We had an amazing relaxing time. A tent in the forest was just that with a lovely rustic kitchen and bathroom. We were enjoying Ploen’s authentic delicious Thai dinner when we were lucky enough to see fire flies. We ventured on the walk to the rock pools and were rewarded with a small waterfall cascading into pools it was so lovely. Thank you Ian and Ploen for sharing this piece of paradise Troy and De

We had such a lovely time in this private corner of the forest, really enjoyed the secluded rock pools and incredible bird life. The camp has everything you need to be comfortable and the host is awesome. Beautiful spot for deep relaxation

I recently stayed at the most incredible Hipcamp tent in the forest in Kin Kin, Queensland, and it was absolutely unforgettable! Nestled right in the heart of nature, this spot is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The camp kitchen, bathroom and tent were clean and thoughtfully furnished, making it feel cozy and welcoming while still offering an “off-the-grid” vibe. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including providing stubby coolers. I would strongly recommend having the delicious 2 course Thai dinner on the first night of your stay. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a unique, serene getaway in nature. It’s an ideal place for a quiet retreat, a romantic escape, or just some time to recharge. Can’t wait to return!
