Stunning, 100 acres where Highland Cows and hand-raised animals roam free amongst all the abundant native wildlife. Immerse yourself in a beautiful natural environment and lovely friendly animals for a unique experience of being involved in helping Ian and Wally look after all the lucky rescue animals at Eventide. All hosted by the down to earth, local owner Ian and his loyal dog, Wally. You are welcome to help feed the baby calves their morning milk, collect the eggs and tidy the chicken coops or just relax and watch all the lucky animals live their best lives on Eventide Sanctuary! 🤠🐮🐑🐄😊

Exceptional Experience!
What an incredible experience! There is nothing quite like Eventide- the property is gorgeous, but the animals are the stars that’s for sure! Ian is an amazing host- attentive, kind, fascinating and a genuinely good bloke. We will be back- many, many more times I am sure!

Camping with animals
Excellent host who waited patiently for our family to arrive and feed the 2 week old calves. Our 6 and 8 year old boys will never forget this experience. Thanks so much. Next day we explored the farm with many sheep, chickens, alpacas and cows. The animals come right to your door and are all friendly. All animals are rescues and are super lucky to have Ian. Great spot before or after you go to Port Arthur. Many thanks and all the best with your rescue project.

A Must Stay farmland experience!
Got to check this place out! Little gem! Has the greatest host, Ian, and his animals. The spot is easy to get to from Hobart and travelling down to Port Arthur/Tasman National Park/Fortescue is easy from here. Plenty of natural wildlife to see as well. The land is very clean, well maintained. The farm animals are very friendly, interactive and curious but safe to be around (take it from a vet!). Beautiful sunrise. Great for everyone including families. Ian has great tips for travelling and food options! Genuinely go stay the night...or 3!

Amazing Experience
This is absolutely an amazing place. The land is spectacular, the views are one of the best and the animals are well looked after and friendly. I loved it here! Well worth the small fee. I'd love to come back one day.

COWS 💛
Me and my partner have been driving around Tasmania for the last 6 weeks and this has to be one of our favourite campsites. A huge property with so much room and the most cutest animals ever that were so so friendly. But most of all we loved how awesome the host Ian was, so passionate and down to earth that made our stay even better. We were in awe of the work, money and effort that he has put into not only his property but for the amazing animals that he has taken in. 100% recommend this to all campers, was a very special spot and hopefully we’ll be back 🌞🫶🏼🐮
