So let's regergitate some things and make sure everyone understands how it is. If you aren't capable of practicing the 5 P's, then you need to book somewhere else. Proper Preperation Prevents Poor Performance. If you can't get here and have your camp set up by 8:00PM, showing respect to the other Hipcampers that are already set up and enjoying the PEACE AND QUIET, then you need to book somewhere else or don't come until the following morning. No driving down to the campsites/the lake after 8::00PM. Period. Communicate with me. If you leave Portland at 5:00 PM with the intention of spending the night in Heaven then you need to alter your plans. No more than 4 adults at each campsite. I am almost to the point of saying no BIG DOGS. If you got big dogs, my suggestion is you go book someplace else. Talk to me. It is a given they willl need to be on a tethered throughout your time in Heaven. Take them for walks along the lake, not having them run thru everyone elses camp sites. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no yippers, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. You need to listen to music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. The chipmunks, the squirrels, all the different birds, the eagles, the osprey, the fish jumping, the deer roaming, the timber martins running thru the trees, the snowshoe rabbits and the occasional black bear. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”. So, while you are here, take a deep breath, close your eyes at the appropriate moment and ask yourself, am I on the right path? Is what I am doing fulfilling me? Am I showing my family and friends how much I love them? Do I really need all that crap I got? Where do I go from here? My intention was for each one you to not just go camping, or to stay in a Mongolian Ger but to have an “Experience” that just might lead you to a more fulfilling and happier life.

We live on approximately 2.75 acres in NorthEast Bend. We are a family that lives on a simple hobby farm with goats, chickens, peacocks and a foster horse. Our chickens (yes we do have a rooster) are free range, and provide farm fresh eggs daily. Our goats graze in the pastures, and have fun around sunset playing in their play pen. Our senior horse is friendly and loves attention with brushing and petting. We have two barns, one where the animals live, and another that we sometimes rent out for gatherings, with a dance floor, tables, couch area, ping pong, horseshoe, and foosball. We have two indoor/outdoor cats, and a McNab named Belle. We do live on a busy street, so there is street noise if you are looking for super quiet, this is not the place for you. We live near a large park, Pine Nursery that is good for tennis, pickleball, sand volleyball, a small pond and trails for running, it also has a dog park. We feel away but are not too far from stores, down town, or even Old Mill. Our RV spot has full hook ups, with water, sewer and electric.

Our house is located in Wood River Village. It is the beginning of where the Deschutes River bends as it comes into the town of Bend. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. When you request a reservation, please tell me what kind of RV you'll be bringing, and confirm whether it is fully self-contained. Summers and holiday weekends require a 4-night minimum stay. All other times require a 3-night minimum stay. PLEASE NOTE: Use the property's elevated deck (maximum weight capacity: 350 lbs.) and gravel path to the river's edge at your own risk and with the utmost caution! Owner accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained on the property. Area attractions include the Deschutes River, Mt. There is a shared deck and fire pit ( wood provided). The big Deschutes river, boat launch and park are a short walk away. Sunriver is a quick 6 minute drive. There you will find restaurants, shopping and activities. Mt. Bachelor and many beautiful lakes are within a 25 minute drive.
