Fantastic location, camping a few metres from the river, surrounded by wild life and some elusive marine life. Although less than 10 minutes to Noojee the location is quiet, surrounded by bush, and Keren and Mikey make you feel very welcome.

This Hipcamp has a lot of things going for it. It’s well maintained with mowed grass and mulch placed over any areas prone to mud. It’s peaceful and fairly private. The two sites are barely visible from one another due to some bushy trees between the two. We camped in the smaller of the 2 sites and we had ample space for 2 campers. We plan to come back here again in the future as it was such a beautiful place to stay. For bird lovers – the site is often visited daily by chatty kookaburras, crimson rosellas, eastern yellow robins, yellow-faced honey eaters and one inquisitive bassian thrush. Downsides – Nearest Telstra or Vodafone reception is 5-10 minute drive into town. Access to campsites via a 50m decent down a narrow bumpy dirt road which may be too challenging for large caravan rigs. Recommend checking with Keren before booking.

The barn was awesome: had everything we needed and felt like we were really in cowboy mode 😀 the grass was lush and comfortable to camp and walk on . The firepit is perfect and the Avon river and its beauty is only minutes away .

What a beautiful place. Sale is beautiful and so is this caravan park. The owners were absolutely perfect. Putting the customers (us in particular) experience first and foremost. So polite. So relaxed and professional all at the same time. We will definitely be back and we were all sad to leave especially the kids. Other campers were super lovely too. Kids learnt how to ride their bikes on their own and so many other campers were encouraged them and congratulating them when they got the hang of it. A Quiet, relaxing family orientated park with owners you couldn’t wish more of. And they even walked around and handed out Easter eggs for all the kids. Amenities were clean. Showers worked great too. See you soon Sale. Also pets welcomed there and not an ounce of trouble from other dogs.

We recently stayed at Sale Caravan Park and couldn't be happier with the experience – especially for our young children! The park is clean, quiet, and incredibly family-friendly. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. Our kids had an absolute blast – there's plenty of open space for them to run around safely, and the play area kept them entertained for hours. The park layout made it easy to keep an eye on them while still being able to relax ourselves. Facilities are clean and well-maintained, and it's great having the shops and local attractions nearby too. Whether you're staying in a cabin or bringing your own van, this place is a gem for families with little ones. We'll definitely be back!

Very good camp site We all love here. Toilet and shower are really clean.

We had an awesome time at Sale caravan Park.. we setup at the powersite area which was close to the amenities that was clean and convenient when our kids needed it.. Highly recommended if you needed to get away from Melbourne to explore the fresh air. Plus the town was close by if needed to enjoy scenery such as the botanical garden.. will definitely come back in the future.

Convenient location for our quick stop. There were good, clean ammenities block with a good shower. and camp kitchen. Park allowed for fires in a fire pit. Park was busy due to being the Easter holidays.

Gorgeous spot by the river and open paddocks. We were lucky to have almost full moon and a fog blanket. Other campers on the adjacent property were slightly noisy all in all a very relaxing place

Weekend Trip to RiverOak Camping Heyfield - Gippsland Victoria

Absolutely loved our two nights at Keren’s place. Magical spot on the creek, no phone reception so was a great way to disconnect.

Our group uses hipcamp regularly. I think this is one of the best sites that we’ve been to. The place is beautiful, well maintained and amanda is all about making sure hipcamers have a great time.

The grounds and facilities are well maintained. The campground is close to Sale town and set next to a river.

We had a lovely stay at Riverside. Such a peaceful spot with plenty of space. The river was lovely to sit by during the day and the fire at night. Plenty of things to explore around the local area and a couple of nice pubs nearby too!

Beautiful little spot. Very peaceful. Slight drizzle didn't worry us as the lovely grassy grounds kept from making everything muddy. Dogs loved it. Little creek ran alongside our campfire...heaven!

Weekend Trip to RiverOak Camping Heyfield - Gippsland Victoria

Celebrated our first grandchild first birthday at RiverOak campsite. There were eight families and couples of us, the usual campers, and three families invited and we still left the campsite half empty. The campsite was neat with lush and healthy lawns, surrounding trees with the infamous oak tree that shades the prominent part of the campsite the bbq area where we mostly spend our days with picnic mats, camp chairs and hammock next to the river. Under the Oak tree were swings and kids loved climbing on it as the large branches are very low, dads and kids climbed and some just rest there. I see back in the days when I saw them enjoying the tree. We had our birthday boy and group pictorials under the lovely oak tree and came out good. The kids and adults alike also enjoyed the river which helped us a lot from a 36 degree temperature while some were just on their stretchers and hammocks having naps. We did fishing but sadly we didn’t catch any just because everyone was in the water most of the time. Boys did mountain biking 10 min drive from the camp. Hike on the trails etc. There is a fishing spot just outside next to the information centre on the main road which we missed on the way in because of watching our way turning heading to the campsite. Loved the hot and cold shower very clean that I put my bare feet on it. Wash basin outside well lit at night. Funny there was metal kitchen sink outside that looks like a hard rubbish sitting under a tree. I didn’t t

We had the most amazing, magical weekend here. The sites are perfectly positioned along the river. We had both sites booked out so had the place to ourselves. Along with yabbies and eels. The kids had a ball in the river and we all came back home fully charged after being in nature. We’re very grateful that Keren and family are sharing this beautiful spot with people. Thanks for having us, we’d love to come back!

Hazelnut Valley is a working Hazelnut Farm located along the Tyres River. We are an easy 2-hour drive from CBD Melbourne, so we are a great location for either short or long stays. Christmas Holiday Bookings Christmas and Boxing Days are available on request only, we will not be accepting any booking for arrival on Christmas or Boxing Days, so that we can have quality family time. Any guest who would like to book a site to arrive before Christmas Day and depart after Boxing Day please message us via Hip Camp and we can make the site available for your booking. Guests MUST be fully self-contained and bring their own camping toilet. (No holes in the ground) you will need to have a suitable camp toilet where you are able to take your waste with you on departure. There is a Dump Point available in Rawson. Leave the noise of the city behind and travel to Noojee, a town named after the Aboriginal word for contentment or place to rest. Surrounded by lush native bush and towering tree ferns, this picturesque town on the Latrobe River sits on the main access route to the ski fields of Mt Baw Baw and is home to a wide range of heritage and natural attractions. The property consists of 5 acres with a river, so you can set up a tent right next to the river and fish for dinner. The house is about 100 meters away from the camping area, but there are about 1000 Oregon trees that are 50 years old, so you can't see each other well, so you can enjoy nature freely. 4WD is recommended for easy access. We recommend tents/swags. 4WD with Heavy trailer is still very hard to enter when it is wet. Guests will have access to a toilet throughout their stay. There is a communal fire pit available, so guests can enjoy a campfire on the cool evenings. Please abide by any local fire restrictions during your stay. You can walk from my house to Noojee Heritage Centre, Trestle Bridge, Alpine Trout Farm, and Noojee Hotel for a delicious pizza, Cool beer from tool sheed and coffee from red duck cafe. Waldheim - Our Home in the Forest

Our beautiful piece of land is located amidst the rolling hills of the Strezlecki ranges. The 4 acre paddock is nestled at the front of our 60acre block, which consists of a dense, temperate rainforest, and a mature pine forest.
