Bonnie Brae Homestead

Great venue, the host Charlotte was excellent and made us feel right at home. the sites were awesome, great views and each night ended by the log fire with a glass of wine. 10/10, in fact we are looking for excuses to go back! My 9 year old also rated it as a 10 out of 10! we will see you all again soon!

Charlotte and Peter are really lovely hardworking people. Seeing how hard they work on the farm, you know it is a labour of love. So peaceful and relaxing with lovely views. We stayed at a water and power hook up. Make sure you have an extra long water hose so you can reach the water for the best spot. Our two mini schnauzers had a ball too. Definitely recommend.

I think the price point was high for the facilities available. It was close to a main road that was pretty loud. It did have some character and was okay.

Beautiful place and full of character. So many interesting things to see around the property. Peter and Charlotte made us feel so at home and were amazing characters. Great facilities and so much history to the place. Highly recommend a visit here plus lots to do in the immediate area.

We had a fantastic long weekend camping on the farm! Plenty of space, great bathrooms, and beautiful views. Charlotte and Peter were amazing hosts, even lending us a sleeping bag when we forgot one. Our daughter loved the horse ride! Highly recommend for a memorable family getaway.

We had such a nice time at Bonnie Brae. It exceeded all our expectations. Beautifully presented and the most friendly owners, we highly recommend it and will stay again. There are many antiques on the property to admire. Our three school aged kids and dog loved the farm - cows, horses and the pond. We also enjoyed having campfires and stargazing. The eggs and mince we bought from the farm were delicious. Traralgon is close by to get whatever else you need. The toilet block was clean and there was hot water for washing dishes. Overall a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay here. Charlotte and Peter were very friendly. The view of the lake was both stunning and peaceful, providing a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. We were only at Bonnie Brae for one night but we had a great stay. Charlotte was a very hands on, friendly and helpful host who greeted us on arrival and was around to help us set up. Our kids loved seeing the cows, patting the horses and playing with Jesse the blue heeler. Lots of great sites to choose from and ample space from other campers so it feels private. Toilets and basin area was very clean and well looked after. Overall a very family friendly and lovely spot to camp. Thanks Charlotte.

This was an easy to get to location, that had multiple sites to choose from so we could set up as best suit us. Charlotte and Peter the hosts were very accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed - power, water, bin, firepit. They were super friendly, and Jesse their dog became our daughter's best friend. We had a great rest and reset long weekend, even in the rain. This is a beautiful gem of a property - would be a great party venue too!

Second time here. Absolutely fantastic place, charlotte and her family are incredibly friendly. My 5yo had a ball feeding the horses and playing with Jessie the dog. Great facilities and no doubt we’ll be back.

Stunning Homestead Campsite

A stunning family freindly property perfect for our camper trailer set up. Our two boys had a ball and even made some new friends who were also staying on a different part of the property, very spacious and away from other campers if you want privacy. Charlotte was an amazing host, very helpful in every way. We'll definitely be back!

Wunderschöner Platz mit charmanten alten Autos etc, Charlotte bemüht sich sehr, dass es ihren Gästen gefällt. Wir haben Duschen vermisst, stattdessen im See gebadet, der sehr idyllisch, aber ohne richtigen Einstieg ist. Toiletten sehr hübsch und liebevoll gemacht.

Very relaxing 2 nights on the farm

Kids LOVED the horse, really nice atmosphere even though was super windy when we were there. Were able to hookup power with our 23ft van and fill water tanks while still having a great private site and view of the farm. We did get charged over $200 a night with Hipcamps, think it’s charged $30 per extra child per night or something (2 adults 2 kids and an infant) so not sure if that was right but it was Australia Day so we also couldn’t go anywhere else and didn’t want the hassle of sorting it out.

I enjoyed the stay at Bonnie Brae - Charlotte and Dominic are very nice and professional; the view is stunning; the facilities are clean, tidy and easily accessible. The campers there are quiet and friendly too. Would recommend it to people with family, friends or solo camp.

This was a great spot for setting up a tent or RV. I stayed in a tent for one night and found the host very accommodating. The facilities are well laid out with plenty of private camping spots available. There’s a good spot to swim if the weather permits, I’ll be back.

Dont miss this beauty

This is a beauty you shouldn’t miss. The place was thoughtfully setup with rustic elements and vintage vehicles. It is also well maintained including the toilet. Charlotte is a wonderful host as well, we arrived a little late due to bad weather conditions and she stayed back to welcome us even in that weather. This was our first camping experience and we couldn’t have gone anywhere better. Thank you Charlotte.

We loved camping at Charlotte’s land. It was our first camping experience and I must say we loved it. The camping site and the bathroom were extremely clean and well maintained. The place is thoughtfully designed with rustic automobile parts and vintage vehicles which was a delight to watch. Charlotte was extremely welcoming. We had got really late in arriving at the campsite due to bad weather conditions, but she was considerate enough to stay back and help us around the site. I definitely recommend this place and hope to go there again!

We had a lovely relaxing 3 nights at Bonnie Brae Homestead. Charlotte was very welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble! She organised our electricity hook up, fire pit, fire wood, eggs and sausages for our arrival and we had a choice of where to setup. The property is very well maintained. Toilet block is very clean. Campers are all well spaced out. We will definitely stay again. Highlights were feeding the horses and admiring all the collectables including old trucks and machinery. Thanks for having us!

We really enjoyed our weekend, camping on a cute little island by the pond. There’s loads of room so it feels very private. Unfortunately it was too windy for us to make a fire but had it been calmer they provide fire pits and you can purchase fire kits too. The host, Charlotte, is very helpful and friendly. My son loved watching the cows!

I just wanted to share my experience of the fantastic weekend that my daughter and I had at Bonnie Brae Homestead! We were welcomed by Charlotte, who is so lovely and friendly. She showed us around the beautiful area, and we decided to pitch our tent next to the little pond. The facilities were fantastic - everything was clean and easy to use. As beginner campers, we were a bit nervous about setting up a bonfire, but Charlotte made us feel comfortable and incredibly supportive. She suggested us to call her if we needed any help, which made us feel so safe and at ease! (By the way, we didn't have to call her - we had a blast there!) Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely give this place a 10/10 rating! We're planning our next visit to Bonnie Brae Homestead. Thank you so much, Charlotte - we look forward to seeing you again soon!

We loved camping at Bonnie Brae. Charlotte is an amazing host. Bonnie Brae has it all, great camp spots, farm animals, dams, flowers, gorgeous views, night sky watching, campfire spots, water (hot n cold), electricity if needs to be and a toilet block. It was a great base for us to venture off hiking to Tara Bulga National Park which is just a short drive away from Bonnie Brae. Thank you, we'd love to come again!
