Thanks Kim and Glen for a great first Hipcamp experience. Loved our site next to the creek, toilet facilities were fab and Kim’s sourdough was delicious. The first day we were there the wasps were an issue but Kim sorted us out with a wasp trap, which was much appreciated - thanks Kim. Doggos loved the secure off leash area!

Weekend Trip to Silver Creek Escape

Had a fantastic time camping at silver creek escape the site is well maintained and the fire pit is the PERFECT size. We had a group of 7 people staying with a caravan, a car tent, and a standard tent all of which fit beautifully will 100% be booking again

Strath creek is a lovely place to stay! I went with two of my boys and our dog. A lot of people seemed really well set up with camper trailers etc, as it was the beginning of the Easter weekend, and it was my first time taking the kids camping by myself, but everything was so easy and well thought out that we relaxed into the site straight away. All very well set up, instructions are really clear, both written and when you get there, and there is a toilet close to each camp spot. The sourdough bread was a lovely addition too, so definitely recommend. Only able to get away for one night, but it was a very relaxing experience. Would definitely return. Highly recommend!

Wonderfully helpful hosts, easy access to a spacious campsite, awesome sunrises, sunsets & wildlife. Will stay again next time we are on Phillip Island.

2 nights at Strath Creek Station

Our second stay at Strath Creek Station was just lovely, nestled by the creek, we were surrounded by birdlife, bushland and views of the hills. Glen and Kim are the perfect hosts, giving us privacy and immaculate facilities, yet are there in a flash if needed. Each of their thoughtfully set out sites have a fire drum, grey water collection container and toilet facilities. All sites are set apart so that you do feel like the only campers there. Strath Creek Station has fast become a favourite for our family.

Weekend Trip to Banksia Park Estate

Lovely well maintained spot, wished we could have stayed longer. Tracy responded quickly to messages prior to booking. Checked on us once we were set up to make sure we were happy. Walking distance from the New Haven shops. Great views over Churchill Island & beyond. Swamp wallabies at the bottom of the property intrigued the boys but the horses were a favourite with them. Definitely recommend this property.

We recently enjoyed a family camping trip to Lancefield Lakes Hipcamp and had a wonderful time. Here are some highlights and a few areas for improvement: What We Loved: 1. The availability of a shower and toilet facility was a big plus, making our stay more comfortable. 2. The views were absolutely stunning, providing a serene and picturesque backdrop for our camping experience. 3. We appreciated the privacy between campsites, which allowed us to enjoy our time without feeling crowded. 4. The camp's nature-based setup, close to Lancefield town, offered a perfect blend of convenience and natural beauty. 5. Aaron, the farm manager, was professional and friendly, making our stay even more pleasant. 6. The firewood supply for $30 was ample and added to our cozy campfire evenings. Areas for Improvement: The campsite we were assigned was quite dusty. We would have preferred a grassy site for a more comfortable experience. With only one combined shower and toilet facility, there was often a queue, especially with more campsites. This could be improved to reduce wait times. Overall, Lancefield Lakes Hipcamp is a fantastic spot for a family camping trip, with its beautiful views, privacy, and friendly management. A few tweaks could make it even better! 🌲🔥🏕️

This campsite is a wildlife haven. Waking up to a field full of wallabies, rabbits, cape baron geese, and many other birds was truly magical. It’s also very close to a beautiful beach and we could hear the ocean at night. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay, very peaceful and private lots of wildlife. Fantastic location, lots of places to explore and some great walks. We were blessed with good weather and fortunate to see amazing night sky. Winery next door, which was lovely we enjoyed a late lunch and wine tasting. I would definately stay here again.

This was a terrific last minute find .Situated on beautiful farm land with animals (little horses, goat's and cows). Also a quick 5 min walk to the beach. The host was write on to any enquiries and information. He greeted me and showed me to the sight. Damian helped me in hitch the van as I have painful hand injury.

Bushwalk along the little creek among tall trees and majestic tree ferns, or just sit in a deck chair and take in the exquisite views at the top of the hill. Multiple tracks head through the Yarra State Forest where you can wind your way along dirt roads through to Noojee, Powelltown, or Reefton, each of which have a cosy pub at the end of the drive. There are different campsite locations on the property, depending on if you would like isolation or convenience. We also offer excellent toilet and bathroom facilities which are now included with all bookings. Iron Brook Donkey Farm is located on rolling hills of mountain pasture, backing on to the Yarra State Forest. The donkey farm is situated conveniently, halfway between the popular redwood forest, and the giant Ada tree walk. Just chill in your own time, or book an activity or a donkey ride. Donkeys can take riders up to 70kg We do allow pets, but this MUST be discussed with us prior to booking as we have strict rules around this. We also allow campfires only when fire restrictions aren't in place - which is often all summer. Children under 3 are free, but for insurance purposes, please mention them in the comments. Day visitors are $20 per person, which incudes a donkey patting session. This property has an overall capacity to ensure that our number of visitors remain low. This not only ensures that campers recieve the space and peace they look for in a campsite like this, but also so that we can ensure the bathrooms can be kept clean and not overloaded. This is also a part of our COVID safe plan. Due to this overall capacity it is important that you book for the number of people that you intend to have stay, as while we try to accomodate increases to booking numbers, they are not guaranteed unless booked. If we have met overall capacity then we may not be able to approve increases to booking numbers. This is for the comfort and safety of all our visitors. Thank you If you intend to purchase firewood or power or donkey rides or anything from the Donkey Shop during your stay, please bring cash to pay, and payments must be made up front, unfortunately, too often guests have been leaving without having paid for their rides or firewood.

The Fern Glade

Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). With no light pollution this is the ideal spot for star gazing.

We are 10 minutes from Kinglake township and 15 mins to Yarra Glen, which means a quick trip if you need supplies. The highway is close by which makes it handy to get out and about. Wildlife we have seen on the property includes Wallabies, Echidna, and an abundance of bird life. Laugh with the Kookaburras at sunset. Dogs are welcome however due to wildlife and the bush location, we ask that you please keep them on a lead at all times. If you are planning on bringing a dog with you, please let us know in advance. We also have horses (separate from the campsite) that campers can feed a carrot if they wish! Water is available from our stables water tank. It is Tank water so not crystal clear but think of it as euculyptus tea! NB: **We do have neighbours and the highway near by so there will be some noise . Would suit campers who want to kick the footy, wade in the river and maybe go 4wding or out and about fishing. Ok to play your own music near the camp fire as you are far enough away down the back paddock! **Not suited to those wanting to be in the middle of nowhere

We are close to the Toolangi State Forest which is a beautiful natural area with plenty of different walking tracks and waterfall viewing options. There are also some popular 4WD tracks in the area too or you might like to take a drive up the Black Spur and enjoy the winding roads and lovely scenery. Campers must have their own camping toilet and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are not allowed during fire season and pets, whilst on leash, are welcome. Limited DRINKING water is available, as we are reliant upon tank water. Note that, for access purposes, only one caravan per site is allowed, and units over 6 meters will require an advanced level of expertise to maneuver for exit.

There are the untouched wetlands, TiTree walks and abundant Wallabies, Cape Barren geese, Purple Hens, Pelicans and Bandicoots The chicory kiln at the entrance is known as the “Bern Denham kiln”. Bern Denham was one of the three original entrepreneurs in the 1920s who were the first to take tourists by torchlight to see the little penguins’ nightly arrival on the beach. Not to mention he was an influential contributor in getting the Phillip Island racetrack built and up and running. Please Note: Our property and all sites do not have any external power, water or toilet facilities available for campers so you will need to be completely self – contained in a caravan, campervan or roof top tent set up. We actually can not offer Tent Sites (Tents, Swags, sleeping in cars etc) Please confirm that you are fully self contained when making the booking Our check - in on the day of arrival is between 2.00pm - 5.00pm and we appreciate an estimated time of arrival. The sites are clearly sign posted so if you ae going to be very late we may not see you till the following morning. That way we can make arrangements to be on-site to check you in.
