We have been camping since 2016. I have camped in many places both with my family and individually. This is the first campsite I’ve found that is even more beautiful than its photos and descriptions. I definitely recommend it in every way. I hope it stays the same.

A Fantastic Family Lakeside Stay

We recently spent a few days here with our two young kids and had a great time. Our campsite was right by the lake, providing some beautiful views and a very relaxing atmosphere.
There was plenty of birdlife around, and we were lucky enough to spot kangaroos and an echidna during our stay.
The bathrooms and toilets were immaculate and very well maintained. The kids especially got a kick out of the hot outdoor shower.
The kids enjoyed exploring the vegetable garden and orchard, having a go at identifying the different herbs and plants.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout. They were very generous with the firewood, which we appreciated. A huge thanks to Jemillia, who was so understanding when we had a mechanical issue with our camper; she even lent us the tools to fix it, which really saved our trip.
It was a great experience all around. We’ll definitely be back.

Gorgeous scenery, huge sites well spread apart. Very clean and the toilets/shower are great. We had a swim/float in the lake, a roaring fire and a swing in the hammock. Great bit of land to walk around and explore. Absolutely will be coming back.

This spot is idyllic and beautiful. Our site was very secluded and far away from any neighbours (other than the ducks and wildlife). Overall it was a lovely and very peaceful camp and we enjoyed our stay. However the only thing that was really disappointing was the distance to the toilets. Although this campsite does advertise facilities and toilets, if we wanted to use them they were a 15 minute walk along a steep and very precarious 4WD track (or a 3 minute drive). This might not be acceptable if you have young kids or need the loo in the middle of the night! For the extremely high cost to pitch a tent, I was expecting at least the toilets to be within easy and usable reach, unfortunately they weren’t. This was the only downside to this beautiful camping property.

Lancefield Lake is truly a breath of fresh air for anyone looking to escape into nature. The swimming experience here is top-notch. The water is refreshing and clean, making it the highlight of the trip for both kids and adults. Whether you are wading in for a quick dip or spending the afternoon floating under the sun, the lake offers a peaceful and safe environment for all kinds of water activities.
One of the most impressive aspects of this location is the thoughtful layout of the camping grounds. The areas are exceptionally well-planned, allowing different families and groups to have their own dedicated space. You never feel like you are on top of your neighbors, which adds a layer of privacy and relaxation that is often hard to find at popular lakeside spots. This separation makes it ideal for families who want their own little "base" while still enjoying the communal atmosphere of the great outdoors.
Between the scenic views, the perfect swimming conditions, and the organized layout, this is a place that clearly values the camper's experience. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back for another visit soon. Thanks

This Hipcamp is amazing, with beautiful lakeside camp sites well spaced apart. The bathroom facilities are excellent and we kept clean throughout our stay despite 6 or so other groups staying on the property. Some may find the trip to the bathroom too far but many campers drove up. We ordered firewood with our booking and thought the amount supplied was good value. Highly recommended and hope to return.

Lancefield lake is the perfect place to relax, disconnect from the busy city life, and enjoy time outdoors.
The campsite was clean and quiet, and the night sky was absolutely stunning with so many stars. Waking up to the sounds of birds and nature was one of the best parts of the trip. It’s a great spot for anyone who enjoys camping, hiking, or just spending time in nature.
Overall, it was a wonderful short getaway and I would definitely recommend Lancefield for a relaxing camping trip.

A mid week escape and we had the camping area to ourselves. Jem and Dale are wonderful hosts, engaging and more than helpful. The facilities are modern and spotless. The spot by the lakes edge offered awesome sunrises called in by the water birds. A great way to capture some peace and quiet.

We had a great stay camping by the lake. It gets beautiful morning sun and welcome shade in the afternoon, making it really comfortable throughout the day. The setting is peaceful and relaxing.
We saw plenty of birdlife and wildlife, including an echidna and kangaroos, which was a real highlight. Jemillia was responsive and very accommodating. We’d definitely stay again.

We had a fabulous Australia Day long weekend here. We had a great spot on the lake, fabulous friendly host and staff, 1.45hrs from home, beautifully maintained property, excellent facilities, in fact, the bathroom here is better than most hotels I've stayed in! Pet friendly upon request and so relaxing. We loved it so much we booked for Easter! Can't wait to come back.

This has got to be the most well looked-after property I have seen in any recent memory. Really - just so nice. We camped at Camp 1 and had lots of space to spread out. The lake was at our doorstep and a welcome escape from the heat. It’s very shallow with lots of vegetation so floating on the surface is the way to go!
The shower / toilet was amazing - spotless and real luxury for camping. We had a whole spectrum of weather and conditions and no real issues. It can get quite windy so def peg down your stuff securely. A great spot and will def come back. Thanks so much!

Second time here! Went with the kids this time. They loved it! Perfect spot to bring the kids. They had a ball fishing and exploring the property. A very well maintained and clean property. We’ll definitely be back a third time.

Absolutely Loved Our Stay at Lancefield Lake Campground!
We just spent a fantastic day at the Lancefield Lake campground and had to share our experience.
The star of the show is, without a doubt, the stunning lake itself. Our lakeside spot offered breathtaking views from morning until night. Waking up to mist over the glassy water and ending the day with a fiery sunset reflecting on the surface was pure magic. It's incredibly peaceful and scenic.
A major plus was the excellent infrastructure. The public restroom and shower facilities were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Having access to reliable hot showers and spotless toilets really elevates the whole camping experience. The sites were well-defined, and the overall grounds were tidy and orderly.
It's the perfect blend of beautiful nature and convenient, clean facilities. We felt completely relaxed and will definitely be back! Highly recommend booking a lakeside spot for the full experience.

We stayed here and it was exactly what we wanted. Quiet. Private. Open space with lake views. Mornings were calm by the water. Nights were dark enough to see the stars and sit by the fire. No crowds. No noise. Amenities were clean and practical. A stunning, easy place to camp/caravan and slow down.

Lancefield Lakes is a peaceful and relaxing camping spot by a dam that is home to many birds. Upon arrival we were greeted a guided to a site that suited our needs, shaded by the trees and close to the amenities and dam. Other campers were far enough apart, it felt we were quite isolated. Jemilla is organised and quick to reply, both before and during our stay. Late check out is also appreciated.

Beautiful and peaceful campsite with a mystical morning view. The site is well spaced and private, away from other campers. Bathrooms and toilets were clean, and waking up to the sounds of birds and cows was very relaxing. We also saw wildlife like kangaroos, which made the stay extra special. Highly recommended for a quiet nature escape.

This is a beautiful property! Very peaceful and so picturesque. We really appreciated how much space we had for our set up. It was an easy walking distance to the amenities and drinking water. We are already planning our next trip :) Thank you Jemillia, Dale and Aaron!

Could not say enough good things about our experience at lancefield lakes - our friend’s tent broke and Jem kindly lent us one of theirs, saving the trip. The toilets are very clean and well maintained and there a lot of space between sites. They were also very generous with the firewood. 10/10.

Our group of 8 loved our three nights at Lancefield Lakes! It is teeming with birdlife and we were super impressed with the facilities. Aaron and Jemima did a great job helping us settle in. Might need to restock the trout though — caught nothing but eels!
