1 night at Millers Farm "The Hills are alive"

Kate and Darren are super friendly and easy to talk to. We really appreciated how much effort they put into the farm and looking after all the animals! The location is great, not far from the M1. Once you get off the M1, the drive to the farm is really simple and not stressful at all. Plus, the scenery is really nice. The facilities are awesome! I think the toaster, kettle, and even the toilet were cleaner than the ones at my own house, not joking! And we really like the idea of having the camp kitchen next to our tent, make our setup way easier! There are so many chances to meet the animals and check out the area. Since we booked last minute, we didn’t have time to explore nearby places, but we’ll definitely be back. I’d definitely recommend coming again, maybe with a few other families so you can have the whole campsite together. It’s perfect for kids and makes camping so easy and fun, with many great memories. We have two kids ourselves, and it was just perfect for our family. And of course, Kate and Darren are wonderful hosts!

Lovely well maintained spot, wished we could have stayed longer. Tracy responded quickly to messages prior to booking. Checked on us once we were set up to make sure we were happy. Walking distance from the New Haven shops. Great views over Churchill Island & beyond. Swamp wallabies at the bottom of the property intrigued the boys but the horses were a favourite with them. Definitely recommend this property.

Fantastic place for a weekend away of camping. Amazing host and amazing sourdough bread from Kim. The only criticism I would have would be the checkout time of 10am. Doesn't allow your gear/awnings enough time to dry before rolling up. Other than that, A1.

Beautiful, private spot with creek access and lots of space for our three families and dog. We loved the open space too, room to run around and for stargazing. We really appreciated the clean, well equipped portaloo and the fireplace. Kim and Glen were really friendly and welcoming. Love their attention to maintaining the native environment. We had such a relaxing time and the kids had a ball.

We had a terrific 3 days staying on the farm. It is in a great location to experience all Phillip Island has to offer. Richie and Sharon are exceptional hosts, responding very promptly and generously to any requests. Our granddaughters loved playing on the hay bales and having a ride in the tractor to feed the cattle and move hay. Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness.

As we took a dog camping for the first time, we loved that it was fenced. Even though we ensured we always had eyes on him, for wildlife safety, it gave us confidence that we knew he was secure. We also LOVED the creek next to camp as the dog loves to swim. Michael was very accommodating, and easy to connect with. Having the bathroom a short stroll away, which was clean, was also a bonus. A thoroughly lovely evening in an amazing location.

Such a beautiful property. Large flat space for tents, gorgeous area enclosed with huge trees and a babbling stream, loads of birdlife (the wrens and Willie wagtails are so cute). Well appointed with a toilet and water nearby and only a 15 minute drive to a servo if you need extra firewood or supplies. We would definitely recommend it and hope to come back.

Welcome to Nanadhong Views. Nanadhong is the local indigenous name for the Cathedral Range. We are located on the western slope of the Cathedral with beautiful views to its peak as well as across the Acheron valley to the Black Range and South to Dom Dom and the Black Spur. This property was previously a home site but was burned out in the 2009 fires. Now being returned to nature and available for camping only. Two dams and a seasonal creek attract birds and local wildlife. A total of 30 acres is available for exploring and enjoying the views. This private location has a single site with power and water, suitable for two vans or several camper trailers, a flushing toilet and further grassed areas suitable for tents and camper trailers. A camp shelter currently under construction will provide somewhere out of the weather with lighting, water and power available. Day visitors are $20 per person, which incudes a donkey patting session. This property has an overall capacity to ensure that our number of visitors remain low. This not only ensures that campers recieve the space and peace they look for in a campsite like this, but also so that we can ensure the bathrooms can be kept clean and not overloaded. This is also a part of our COVID safe plan. Due to this overall capacity it is important that you book for the number of people that you intend to have stay, as while we try to accomodate increases to booking numbers, they are not guaranteed unless booked. The Fern Glade

Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). With no light pollution this is the ideal spot for star gazing.

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we have now entered our Fire Danger Period for the 2024/2025 Summer Season. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property & family.

The property consists of 5 acres with a river, so you can set up a tent right next to the river and fish for dinner. The house is about 100 meters away from the camping area, but there are about 1000 Oregon trees that are 50 years old, so you can't see each other well, so you can enjoy nature freely. 4WD is recommended for easy access. We recommend tents/swags. 4WD with Heavy trailer is still very hard to enter when it is wet. Guests will have access to a toilet throughout their stay. There is a communal fire pit available, so guests can enjoy a campfire on the cool evenings. Please abide by any local fire restrictions during your stay. You can walk from my house to Noojee Heritage Centre, Trestle Bridge, Alpine Trout Farm, and Noojee Hotel for a delicious pizza, Cool beer from tool sheed and coffee from red duck cafe. You can drive to Toorongo Falls, Ada Tree in 10 minutes and Baw Baw Ski Resort in 40 minutes.

Locally we are close to all the Yarra Valley and Kinglake Ranges have to offer from wineries to the National Parks for hiking. We are 10 minutes from Kinglake township and 15 mins to Yarra Glen, which means a quick trip if you need supplies. The highway is close by which makes it handy to get out and about. Wildlife we have seen on the property includes Wallabies, Echidna, and an abundance of bird life. Laugh with the Kookaburras at sunset. Dogs are welcome however due to wildlife and the bush location, we ask that you please keep them on a lead at all times. If you are planning on bringing a dog with you, please let us know in advance. We also have horses (separate from the campsite) that campers can feed a carrot if they wish! Water is available from our stables water tank. It is Tank water so not crystal clear but think of it as euculyptus tea! NB: **We do have neighbours and the highway near by so there will be some noise . Would suit campers who want to kick the footy, wade in the river and maybe go 4wding or out and about fishing. Bern Denham was one of the three original entrepreneurs in the 1920s who were the first to take tourists by torchlight to see the little penguins’ nightly arrival on the beach. Not to mention he was an influential contributor in getting the Phillip Island racetrack built and up and running. Please Note: Our property and all sites do not have any external power, water or toilet facilities available for campers so you will need to be completely self – contained in a caravan, campervan or roof top tent set up. We actually can not offer Tent Sites (Tents, Swags, sleeping in cars etc) Please confirm that you are fully self contained when making the booking Our check - in on the day of arrival is between 2.00pm - 5.00pm and we appreciate an estimated time of arrival. The sites are clearly sign posted so if you ae going to be very late we may not see you till the following morning. That way we can make arrangements to be on-site to check you in. If needed, late check in within daylight hours can be arranged subject to our availability.
