Weekend Trip to Djitti Djitti Farm

Isaac was an accommodating host; when the original site couldn’t be accessed due to recent rain he found another area for us to camp on. The site was peaceful where we could hear koalas and sugar-gliders and visited by cows and ducks. A great place to get away from everything yet still access services from the nearby town.

We had such a beautiful time at Weefarm. Absolutely lucky that the rain stopped for us too. The river was rushing, due to releases from Wivenhoe, but we still had a fantastic time. So convenient having the portaloo, and lots of space to spread out and enjoy the serenity. Would absolutely love to come back again when the boardwalk emerges from the river, but our son caught 2 huge catfish and a massive perch, which I think was probably because of the increased flow.

Beautiful property with well looked after campgrounds. Lots of amenities like playground, bush kitchen, and spotless flushing toilets! Only stayed one night and didn't get time to check out the walking track or dam, but will definitely be back! Would recommend to other solo female campers and families as this place is past a locked gate and very private. Also the bird watchers! There was a beautiful symphony of different species the entire time and I wished I knew what ones I was listening to 😊 so relaxing!

Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

The creek runs seasonally and makes a beautiful swimming area, but is just as enjoyable when dry allowing for a great path to explore the area. The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD! In lieu of camping with nature there are no amenities and limited service with some providers, but if you are chasing something in particular please let us know. We are happy to help. A Great place to have your own private and secluded campsite, away from the holiday crowds. 160 acres of working goat and alpaca farm on the highlands of the Darling Downs, only 8 km from the New England Highway. All sites are private and secluded with great views, great sunsets, and starry night skies. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife including Red Necked Wallabies, Possums, Rufus Batongs, Bandicoots and Echidnas. There are seasonal creeks and waterfalls and wildflowers. Coominya Hobby Farm

Come and relax at our flat, peaceful 5 acre hobby farm. Most animals wander around example the sheep, ducks and chooks, all the poultry. We have a mini pig (Splat) that has her own paddock as she likes to escape and you definately don't want a pig in your tent or swag or pushing your furniture about. 😆 She is super gentle and please go in and give her some belly rubs and pats. We also have Gibbles the male gobbler turkey (his gobble gobble is a delightful sound), dorper sheep, hens and Henry Rooster, so theres will be a cock a doodle do in the mornings, ducks and horses if I have enough grass. You can ask for the horses to be here for your visit, they are often at other agistment nearby. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, double flushing toilets, picnic tables and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Extra adults campers are $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon.
