Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. **Our camping sites vary in size and proximity to others. If you want to come with a group with several vehicles etc, please send a message rather than book separate sites. We will help find a site which suits your needs. We now have several secluded bush camp sites as alternatives to our more 'civilised' sites. They have no facilities apart from the site so you must be entirely self-sufficient. But all are single sites well away from others. We invite you to come and share our property, soak up the tranquility of our quiet valley and enjoy feeling at home in nature. And your dog is welcome too (under control please because we value our wildlife, and no more than 2 dogs per couple or family group)! The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. They have no facilities apart from the site so you must be entirely self-sufficient. But all are single sites well away from others. The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. We love camping here, this is one of our favourite places to camp near Brisbane. My husband enjoyed the challenge of driving over the big hill to the camping site. Phil was very friendly and Alannah was very prompt in replying to my messages. The camping sites are big and we had the whole place to ourselves. We really enjoyed the creek and the water hole is great to cool off during the day. We will definitely come back and try different camping site in the property.

We loved the peace and tranquility as it was pretty quiet. The views were amazing. I would speak to Ben prior to booking to get the right spot if you would like a powered site due to the differences. For example we stayed on a large concrete slab due to having a 25 ft motorhome. Luckily it wasn’t windy so we didn’t have to tie down awning. If it was windy it would been hard to move it off the slab nearer grass due to electrical hook up.

Jan came to greet me upon arrival which was really nice as it made me feel very welcome on her property. Jan goes to a lot of effort to make the camp sites a nice place to stay. I had a delightful spot well away from the other sites and all to myself. The site was right on the water and well maintained so no fear of snakes. Total privacy and peace of mind that dogs can be off leash without any trouble. Was very happy to have two nice shady trees and a campfire at the site. Just sad I didn’t know this place existed sooner.

We have very secluded, off the grid bush camping, with direct access your own style of bush camping. You choose where your site is, first in, first served basis. Each campsite needs to be a minimum of 20m from the next campsite unless otherwise agreed. All bush walking, bike riding, kayaking or 4WD access to the public owned Emu Creek, and access is up to the individual camper as this is a public road. Internally on the private property is 20 acres of semi-cleared land (we suggest you may want a grass clearing device , and may camp near any of the 3 dams on the road front of the property. The main camp area has a covered area or Rustic Bush Cabin by the dam, with a graded flat for camper trailers of RV's. The dams are large enough for the children to Kayak, walk through and swim. Enjoy the natural, peace and quiet, subject to local fire restictions, enjoy the night by the fire, and am amazing star gazing, camping "ROUGH" on top very TOP of one small part of the Great Diving Range, hundreds of meters above ground level. 20 minutes drive from Blackbutt. Always call the manager Rick, direct on 0402 998 961, for a personal clarification of booking and your responsibilities as a camper. Fires should be kept to a sensible size and contained within a pit provided by the camper or using bush rocks or bricks. Campers should provide or collect your own wood and please be respectful of how much is collected and used from the property. Seeking your own private escape to the country? You're welcome to experience our tranquil farmstay Coobindah, and enjoy your own EXCLUSIVE campsite, without the crowds! Choose from ONLY TWO campsites on 83 acres rural property. Both spacious campsites are well separated and not visible from each other. To enhance privacy, we take only one booking / group per campsite, therefore you're likely to have the property to yourselves. You'll enjoy peace, nature, amazing views, stunning sunsets, big starry skies, misty valley mornings amidst lovely countryside, farmland and the Aussie bush. Relax under the shade of the trees, warm yourself by the campfire, or go walking or mountain biking on our farm. Each campsite has its own rock firepit, and firewood is available (quality split ironbark firewood available in 'extras'). Wildlife often seen on the property, and there's currently no livestock in the paddocks. Pet friendly, family friendly, a quiet retreat for couples / singles, or group bookings available. Old Peppertree campsite is an elevated campsite that has all weather access and is suitable for 2wd and 4wd vehicles and all RV's and tents. Bush Camp campsite is further down the back of the property, nearer the bush, downhill, and is suitable for 4wd / SUV vehicles and off-road / higher clearance RV's and tents. However access is fairly easy and this is only a recommendation. Coobindah is just under 2 hours from Brisbane and is located on the Great Dividing Range. It boasts crisp mountain air and glorious views from the hills. Nearby attractions: Lake Cooby (Cooby Dam) is just 3 mins down the road; fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, bush walking, picnic area and playground. The renowned Meringandan Pub 5 mins. Highfields 8 mins for shops, cafes, restaurants; Chocolate Cottage, Tavern, Monty Brewery (pet friendly), Pioneer Village and Highfields Falls. Rosalie House winery, restaurant 10 mins. Popular Cabarlah markets, Clock and Bull Brewhouse, Wild Honey Cafe, and Farmers Arms Pub, 11 mins. Garden city of Toowoomba (Carnival of Flowers Sept/Oct), 20 mins. Oakey Army Air Museum 20 mins. Campers are welcome to bring their dogs and/or horses! Campfires are permitted. Bring your chainsaw or axe you welcome to collect your own firewood. Fire barrels available Crystal clear flowing creek. Two dams stocked with cray fish and we welcome cray fishing as long as females with eggs returned to dam. There are some great bushwalks on the property that you can enjoy, you may even be lucky to find the rock overhangs, that provide shallow caves heaps of rock formation and grass trees. Property owners have a number of quiet rescue and farm animals onsite including friendly pigs that may visit your campsite. Horses and alpacas on-site. Owners live off the grid using solar power as their only source. We don’t want to commercialise our property keeping it as natural as possible. Phone service is limited with access in high grounds areas. There are some 4wd sites available, please message the host to discuss this. Owners live onsite, so if you have any questions or need further information please ask! There are no amenities here, campers will need to be totally self sufficient and leave no trace when you go. The camp is located 2 hours from Brisbane, 1 hour from Toowoomba. 15 minutes down the road you'll find the unique town of Crows Nest, which has great historic sites, restaurants, pubs and shops. 30 minutes drive away you can visit the Muntapa Tunnel, a heritage-listed tunnel from Narko-Nutgrove Road, Highgrove through to Nutgrove. It was designed by Queensland Railways and built from 1910 to 1913 by Queensland Railways. Bunya mountains are an hours drive.

Our five acre property on the edge of the Great Dividing Range escarpment is just 10-15 minutes from the Toowoomba CBD. Fantastic mountain and valley views, quiet rural location but just minutes from golf, supermarkets, takeaways, pubs, restaurants, parks and Toowoomba's famous Picnic Point. Your camp spot is a flat, grassy field with fantastic views and privately located on the block next to but away from the main house. Access is just off the road and down a slight grassy slope - suitable for 4WDs and most off road caravans or camper trailers. All guests must be fully self- contained with shower, water and toilet facilities. There is a tap with fresh rainwater which can be used for boiling the kettle, washing up etc (dependent on property water levels as we are completely tank water reliant). Please take all rubbish with you. PLEASE NOTE: Access to our site can be weather dependent. The slope onto the site can mean that if there has been significant rain getting back up the slope may be challenging, especially if towing a van or camper trailer. Please check with us for conditions before you arrive if you have any concerns.

Anduramba Bush Camping is located on a 300 acre property approximately 15 minutes south of Blackbutt, Qld. The campsite is on top of a hill with great views. There’s a small cabin on site, you can book the campsite either with or without this. The cabin is quite basic, it has 12v lighting with a USB port suitable for charging phones etc, and a bunk bed with mattresses (double bottom, single top), but you'll need to bring your own bedding.
