The collection includes Uniforms, Badges & patches, historical records & photographs and over 6 Historic Fire Engine Vehicles, Apparatus, Models & Collectibles.Visit the iconic Ambulance Museum that tells the story of Ambulance services in Queensland.We are within easy reach of Highland Falls which has some great walking tracks and view points of the falls. Pets are also permitted in this bushland area but must be on a leash.We are just 3 mins from local shops, McDonald's, KFC. This is the perfect spot for those who want to wind down and escape the hustle and bustle.We have amenities available and pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. If you are looking for clothing optional or nude camping we fully welcome you to do so. However we need to know at the time of booking so we can allocate an appropriate location so all campers are comfortable. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. You are welcome to bring your own firewood, or you can collect it off the ground. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. It will not be a hot shower like you have at home, however you will get clean. There are also pit toilets in the camp areas. In each camp area we have 3 x rubbish bins. So many animals here! You get to meet camels, cows, pigs, alpacas, Boer goats Dorper Sheep, a multitude of chickens, geese, peacocks and guinea fowl. Miss Piggy loves posing for the camera. Sit under the stars and toast your marshmallows by your fire pit. Safe place to leave your gear while out exploring the Darling Downs and surrounds. Being in a rural area we have strict guidelines for campfires. We follow all Local Government guidelines and the QFS. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. If you are looking for clothing optional or nude camping we fully welcome you to do so. However we need to know at the time of booking so we can allocate an appropriate location so all campers are comfortable. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. You are welcome to bring your own firewood, or you can collect it off the ground. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. All sites are unpowered. Generators are welcome between 7am and 9pm. PRICE. $25 per night Max 2 people. $10 per night for any extra people on that site. $5 for kids 5 years to 12 years.
