There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

We have several peaceful campsites available on our off grid property near Crows Nest. Also a private glamping site with a 5m Bell Tent - with everything you need for a relaxing night away. We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop, and another site further down the hill alongside the main driveway. It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest. We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. We loved the peace and tranquility as it was pretty quiet. The views were amazing. I would speak to Ben prior to booking to get the right spot if you would like a powered site due to the differences. For example we stayed on a large concrete slab due to having a 25 ft motorhome. Luckily it wasn’t windy so we didn’t have to tie down awning. If it was windy it would been hard to move it off the slab nearer grass due to electrical hook up.

Lovely cleared area with easy access to the river bank. Caught plenty of catfish, a couple turtles, a perch and a bass on our one night stay. I am pretty certain I saw a platypus also, a brown wide backed creature popped up and ducked back under the water pretty swiftly around 630am to the right of the point. Very private area and quiet. Saw one boat zoom past while we were fishing. Make sure you bring wood as the campfire ring was great to sit around at night. The lovely owners had freshly mowed the grass just before our arrival and had left a handy page of notes on the property for us at the gateway. We will definitely be back :) thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Hillcrest Farm was established in 1876. It's a quiet, spacious and relaxing spot only minutes to Toowoomba where you'll find lots of weekend markets and other attractions. We have an old motor cross track which avid bicycle riders are welcome to try out Lots of bicycle tracks in town. We have a communal fire place but also numerous fire pits We have good quality firewood to purchase Meatstock March 2025 Carnival of Flowers Sept/Oct 2025 We have 20 beautiful acres here, with several acres in the middle and the back of the property ideal for setting up camp. We have 10 water outlets to hook up to. The land is mostly level, with trees scattered throughout, and all areas have lovely farm views. Whether your on the hill with 360-degree views looking over the campfire while watching the sunset or in the paddock, amongst the trees, you will have space to relax We have 30 sheep and 10 head of cattle on the property, and often lots of lambs which can be seen at any time. We now have an Alpacca named Buck who currently fusses over and protects a newborn lamb 17/07/25 We also have 14 antique tractors, and other old farm equipment, which add to the eclectic farm charm. We also have lots of residential wildlife, including kangaroos and plenty of birdlife, such as kookaburras, cockatoos, galahs, finches, Wrens, Willy wagtails, parrots and more. All guests need to be self-sufficient, with their own toilet, shower and power We have generators for hire There are toilets at the park in Wyreema 3k Local shop just up the road for basic essentials and fuel, plus there are great pub meals nearby at the Bull n Barley(sorry no dogs) - 8 minutes drive away. Located on 250 acres, Empty Pockets farm is a cattle and crop farm on mixed country from rolling hills to tree lined creek banks. Privacy is guaranteed with a number of spacious sites available along two seasonal creeks and one site overlooking rolling hills and distant mountains. As a working cattle farm there are often inquisitive calves around. There are tracks right around the property for walking and exploring. You may see some of the local wildlife which include Rat Kangaroos and possums (both nocturnal), tree goanna, wallabies, echidna and many bird species. Located only 30 minutes from the beautiful Bunya Mountains and Coomba Falls. Motocross Mountain is 8km away and we are 5km from the Yarraman Rail Trail which is popular for mountain bike riding. Plenty of options for exploring or just stay, relax and unwind. We are pet friendly however we ask that dogs are kept on a leash. Season produce from the farm may be available for purchase depending on the season. Firewood is free from designated locations. We request that guests leave a zero footprint which means you need be self sufficient with your own toilet/shower facilities and all waste and rubbish is taken with you on departure.
