This is the most amazing hidden gem. Definitely returning and bringing friends and family. Hosts are super friendly, facilities are great, but most importantly the camp sites themselves are excellent. Well-shaded, lots of space, beautiful animals and wildlife. Excellent place to camp! The other spot was far enough away that we didn't notice them and could relax and enjoy the view. Not too far to walk to the toilet and shower which were clean. We have a 2wd and with the recent rain Guy had checked to be sure the track was dry enough for us to drive up to the site. Had a few goats wander through the site during the night. They did no harm though and I've had livestock come through my site during the night at other farmstays so it's to be expected.

We camped on sites 6 & 7 with 5 adults & 5 children, the serenity was great, slight road noise but did not bother any of us at all there was a fantastic amount of bird life to listen to that over shone the cars. Kids spent a lot of time either in with the animals (ducklings were my son’s favourite) or swimming in the creek, we took little blow up boats & that was a hit! Cafe food was delicious, Moreton Bay Bugs were soooo good! Then they also had cocktails for $10 at 5pm & again so delicious. Both Steve and Ingrid were both so friendly & approachable. Only thing I’d pick on if I had to was the state of the bathrooms, old & not very clean but I will still be back despite this as the rest of the place was so good 😊

We loved our stay here! The hosts were lovely, the site is beautiful and it’s located so close to everything. We went with our 2.5 year old and 8 month old, and stayed in a tent near the creek. The 2.5 year loved playing in the creek, the petting farm and bouncy castle were also a hit. We loved the on-site cafe, which had delicious food and great coffee. We have already recommended to friends and will definitely be returning.

Tappy's Tours and Camping

The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV. See Extras for booking park and ride option if your vehicle is 2WD. UPDATE as of Easter 2025 - creek is flowing, grass is growing. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills. Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting. Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal. NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted. NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately. NOTE: Each site has a stand alone camping toilet bucket, located behind a small shade cloth screen near your camp site. Knight Ranch

The knight Ranch is a small hobby farm with beautiful flat grassy fields, Established trees providing plenty of shade. Wildlife a plenty. With resident animals tawny frog mouth and ducks. The camp/caravan site is isolated out in the rear paddock. The most pristine area on the property. As soon as you arrive you will begin to relax. Easy access off wallace road and easy pull through to the back paddock. Open grassy field with established trees overlooking a small dam and bushland. The perfect place to set up, chuck a roast on and crack a cold one. Campfire locations set up with rocks. Sunrises through the trees over the wetland/bushes. Close proximity (driving) to the river for a spot of fishing, the bay for an early morning walk or explore with the kids and the local tavern for some adult time. A walk up Wallace road on an evening is quite nice if you are looking to stretch your legs. IMPORTANT: The Ranch is on the corner of beachmere and Wallace road. Access is off Wallace road. After you turn onto Wallace road it’s the first right at the yellow letterbox. Pull through and down to the left. Through the gate next to the container out into the back paddock. Please keep this gate shut. There is a designated area for Hip-Camp. Some areas are sandy and difficult to re-establish so please stick to the firm grass. If you have animals please clean up after them and dogs are to be on lead if they do not recall or like to chase wildlife. As we have wonderful bird life along with lizards and chickens on the property. The fire pit has bricks around it. You can help yourself to any kindling but it’s BYO firewood. Please do not chop logs or collect logs from the property.

Beth’s retreat is a grassy 5 acre block with easy access to the Rail Trail. Upon request power and a toilet can be organised. Water is easily available. This block is filled with native wildlife that come to drink at the dam. Also if the children wish to ride a horse, Beauty is willing and able to go for a walk. She is patient and loves children. Our menagerie of various birds produce eggs if you wish to have a cooked breakfast. Come visit this warm and friendly environment. Dogs are welcome however they must remain on a lead.

Harris Cottage back yard

We have set aside a grass paddock at the entry of our property Scenic rim Adventure Park that does have access to 2 powered campsites. These sites are suitable for single vehicles mobile homes, or a large caravan . We do not charge for children under 5 years of age so make sure when booking children their ages are between 5 and 16 years of age. Tamrookum creek is a dry creek bed unless it is raining. Should you wish to go swimming we are located in the center of the Scenic rim Region with dams and rivers a short 20-minute drive away. Check out our local tourist group Destination Scenic Rim for activities available throughout our region. Entry into SRAP is not included in these site fees. If you’re wanting to get away from crowed campsites because you need to have power these two sites located in a grass paddock are for you. Across the fence you can watch the cows take their daily walks, listen to the birds, count the wallabies, and hare's. You can go bush walking or ride a pushbike if you’re fit. We have tank water for washing but you will need to bring your own drinking water as we do not monitor our tanks. There is a toilet and showers located within walking distance.

Ponderosa

This is suited for swags and dome tents (in allocated area), roof top campers, camper vans, caravan's and Rv's only. This is a flat land with a small dam at the back. Lovely bird life on the dam. Ground is very solid. It has 2 horses and a friendly dog in the paddock so ensure gate is kept closed at all times. Please drive straight forward towards the dam and camp between the red shed and trailer home. There is a caretaker on site most of the times for more information. There is a portable toilet and shower on site. The house on the property is rented out and has nothing to do with the site. There is filtered water on site. Entry and exit is on the left side of the house so please try keep excessive noise at the gate to a minimum. Entrance is as per photo with red line.
