Campers can enjoy relaxing around their campfire in the bush, with firepits available at each site. This is combined with the luxury of flushing toilets and hot, gas-heated showers. To make the most of our peace and tranquillity, campsites are scattered in secluded areas throughout the property. There are 4 main camping areas, The Forest Camp, The Creek Camp, The Mountain Camp and The Overflow, each offering something different. We have smaller sites, suitable for a couple, a family or a few friends through to larger sites for groups and all sites have been levelled for a comfortable stay. We cater for all forms of camping including tents, camper trailers and caravans. The campground is accessible by 2WD and 4WD vehicles and firewood, ice and drinking water is available from our office. We are only a 30 minute drive to many local attractions located around Stanthorpe and Killarney. We are a pet-free campground.

I have 8 sites at the moment each one is in a open bushland setting with lovely views, no site is within 100 meters of another and each one has a different view with lots of privacy, and all Dog and Kid friendly, shallow water, and deep water for swimming or kayaking , creeks, animals to feed and heaps of room to run and play. Adult friendly, huge sites for big groups and plenty of space, great swimming and lots of things to here and in the surrounding areas. Some sites are more suited to Caravans as the access is better and some are better suited to campers / 4WD but all can be accessed with a regular car. We have NO road frontage so sites are private, quiet and safe and only 3ks off the New England Highway. All campers MUST bring their own Chemical toilet and shower facilities. A small rest room and shower is available in case of emergency only I run a working farm raising Sheep and Lambs, Chickens, Ducks, Horses, Donkeys, Vegies, Preserves and Jams. Farm produce is available on request and availability, eg Free range eggs , farm raised Lamb, locally sourced Bacon for the BBQ , and seasonal vegetables, jams and chutneys. Thanks to the Beautiful rain we have had recently, our large dam is full, providing a wonderful spot for swimming, paddling or just splashing about, the Dam has long sloping access so is great for families and dogs, PLEASE NOTE The Google Maps photo is way out of date, our Dam is full. For those who may be into Waterskiing or Fishing Leslie Dam is a 10 min drive away and offers fishing and water sports then come back to your quiet camp away from the crowds. We are 20 min South of Warwick, We are only 30 min from the Stanthorpe Wineries, Breweries fresh fruit and Vege, Cheese factory to name a few things to do. A little further along you will find Girraween National Park renowned for amazing walks. Warwick Hosts the Biggest and Best Campdraft and Rodeo on the last full week of October (Covid permitting) as well as the quirky Jumpers and Jazz festival in July. Steam Train Journeys , half or full days, We have an amazing motor sport venue which holds meet every weekend, cars bikes, vintage, minis, Porsche's, you name it they race it every weekend. As well as many Equestrian Events, you can spend the day out exploring and then you can come back to your beautiful campsite, that is if you have not decided to stay relaxing and swimming for the day in the quiet watching the sheep and horses pass bye to then watch the Sunset and wildlife then look at the amazing night sky. Campers are encouraged to meander along the continually changing River and explore its many secluded swimming holes and enjoy the abundant wildlife that cohabitates with the Angus/Wagyu cow herd. Direct access to the neighbouring National Parks and State Forests offers an array of day trips to hikers, mountain bikers, or horse riders where they can discover the natural treasures of Basket Swamp and Boonoo Boonoo Falls, Woolool Woolooni, among others. For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done. Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided. Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart. As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. If you do not like dogs or your own dogs are not very sociable Mindoo may not be the place for you. Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s. You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky. Binghi Station is designed for the 4x4 enthusiasts. In other words we strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is very rugged and bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. Its the 4x4 adventure. We would rather talk it down than up:-) Currently we do not recommend SUV AWD type cars due to there lower profile and vulnerability to bumps and ruts. It is doable many do it all however about driver confidence and add another upto 2hours to trip :-) We recommend parking up the top driveway and having a preplanned lift down. BE WARNED The driveway and some tracks are rough suited for 4x4 adventure enthusiasts that like to use there pride and joy offroad gear for what its intended. ps One thing we can say you will never get bogged on our driveway no matter the rain fall as its very compacted despite its authentic rough character. The Secret Gorge site is suited to tents, camper trailers and smaller length caravans. All our other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers. Binghi Station - an extraordinary place to make some truly wonderful family memories. :-)

Lovely quiet & relaxing place to stay. Multiple large open areas to choose from to set up camp, the dogs absolutely loved being able to explore around the property & play in the dam. Do yourself a favour & check out Mark & Siv's coffee being roasted too. Will definitely be back for another trip

Total peace! Spectacular camp sites, views all round, wildlife and quiet! As people that live in the bush we just loved this spot, it's everything you want for a get away from it all. Brilliant hosts left us wood for our fire and share the magic of their land. We will definitely be back to this spot. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Guffy Acres Off-Grid Farm

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Guffy Acres Farm. The campsites were clean and well spaced, making you feel as though you had your own private piece of countryside to relax and admire. Andrew, the owner, was extremely responsive to messages and very accommodating throughout our stay. While we were there, they had recently hatched some chicks, which he kindly showed to our two young children. Feeding the goats was definitely one of the highlights — they are incredibly friendly, and even my three year old felt confident feeding them through the fence. We wish Andrew and his partner all the best and will certainly be returning when we have the opportunity. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Adrian and oretai were the most amazing hosts. We had an amazing time in an absolutely beautiful setting. We booked the hot tub on the beach which was a great addition to our holiday. Oretai cooked us an amazing Thai dinner and delivered it to us at our campsite which is incredible considering how remote the camp is. There is no phone reception or wifi at the camp which makes it easy to switch off and forget the troubles of the outside world. We will return again and would highly recommend the gorge to anyone who wants to switch off for a couple of days. Even though there is no phone reception, there is still peace of mind as they monitor Chanel 34 so highly recommended taking along an uhf radio. 5 stars. We will be back

We have left on our working trip around Australia in November, we are from a rural FNQ town and since leaving we have struggled to find many remote camping spots like we have at home. We stumbled across Binghi station last minute and decided to book and glad we did because it’s the best Hip camp we have had since starting our trip. It’s a beautiful remote station, with beautiful swimming spots, we were the only campers on the station (mid week) and Adrian and his family were super lovely, nothing was a hassle and it was laid back. We towed our 22ft off road caravan and had no issues and didn’t find the drive in too rough, although we have taken our caravan to some gnarly areas. We will try and get back and camp at the gorge next time with some friends and our swags. Also bonus point for being pet friendly, which seems rare around NSW, our dog is use to being around cattle, so was fine around the sheep. Thank you Adrian and family for hosting us 😊

We loved camping at Wunglebung. The scenery is beautiful camping along the river bank. Heaps of wildlife eg turtles, possums, native birds. Camp site are large and spacish, so never bothering your neighbours.

We loved the long, winding, adventurous drive into Wunglebung as we descended down into the secluded valley. It truly felt like stepping away from the world—nothing but peace, quiet, and a beautiful river to camp beside, with cows nearby and possums visiting at night. Unfortunately, we didn’t spot a platypus this time, but maybe next visit. We camped at the Kingfisher site, where the creek was a little deeper and perfect for a refreshing swim. The rustic country camp showers and toilets were beautifully laid out, with flushing toilets and gas hot-water showers, all within easy walking distance of our campsite—super convenient. The 4WD-access-only sunset lookout was spectacular and the perfect spot to enjoy a few coldies as the sun went down. Highly recommend Wunglebung.

Where to go

Girraween National Park

About 26 km (16 miles) south of Stanthorpe, Girraween National Park is known for its huge 200-million-year-old Triassic granite boulders. Hikers and climbers can tackle Castle Rock, the Pyramid, and Mount Norman, while walkers have 17 km (10.5 miles) of tracks to explore.

Sundown National Park

A feature of Sundown National Park is the Severn River, which cuts through the park forming steep gorges and sharp ridges. In Red Rock Gorge, waterfalls cascade 50 metres (154 feet) over the red cliffs. Popular with birdwatchers, Sundown is also a great place for camping thanks to the riverside Broadwater camping area, home to a ranger station.

Mt Marlay

For panoramic views of the region, take the Mt Marlay Lookout and Summit Walk, a steep winding path on the edge of town. There are picnic tables and binoculars at the top.

Quart Pot Creek

Walking paths on both sides of Quart Pot Creek lead to picnic spots, playgrounds, and rock pools where you can swim. The Red Bridge was built in the 1880s as a railway bridge.

When to go

The Granite Belt has a distinct four seasons, and is renowned as the coldest place in Queensland, with winter sometimes even bringing snowfall. Spring is a great time to visit Girraween National Park, when the wildflowers are in bloom. Major festivals include the Apple and Grape Harvest Festival (March, every two years) and Brass Monkey Season every winter (June to August).

Know before you go

Camping permits are required for all Queensland parks, forests, and reserves. Reserve them online in advance, and make camping books as early as possible.
Stanthorpe has excellent facilities for stocking up before you go camping. You’ll find a post office, pharmacy, visitor information centre, banks, and car hire companies.
Many of the Granite Belt’s camping areas are within a short drive of wineries and cellar doors.
In spring, take the Amiens Road loop drive north of Stanthorpe for the best views of orchards in blossom. From early September, stone fruit trees are flowering, followed by apple trees in late September and early October.
