They really didn't lie about the site name! We were blessed to have 2 clear nights of incredible stars and with easygoing hosts it was hard not to want to come back. Andrew was very accommodating and helpful. Only 5 minutes away from the Severn river, we will be back.

Fantastic camping at Guffy Acres! We stayed on Site 4 – “In the trees” and it was a large, peaceful, shady spot. Only a short drive to Stanthorpe, Girraween National Park and many wineries. Relaxing time among the gum trees. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Fantastic place to unwind

We stayed by the dam for two nights and really enjoyed it. The spot was perfectly kept with a lovely little fit pit. It was very peaceful and we really enjoyed star gazing and waking up to the sounds of birds. We will definitely look to camp here again when we next head to the area.

We loved it at Guffy Acres. We did book site 2 but it was too small so Andrew was more than happy to take us to another site which was much better. I would recommend Guffy Acres to anyone who is looking at being off grid and being on a site that is central to a number of nice wineries. Thank you to our host Andrew, we will be back as there are so many more wineries to explore. :-)

Rain, Stars & Friendly Goats

We were a last-minute booking and arrived later than expected, but Andrew was very patient and easygoing. Andrew and his partner were both kind and relaxed — we didn’t see her much, but the interactions we had were lovely. Our site was near the dam. Because of the rain we didn’t get to swim, but the site was spacious and well away from other campers. We could see the house in the distance, though it still felt like we had the place to ourselves. Andrew let us know that if the rain became too much and our tent flooded, he’d help us move things — though the site handled it well and it would’ve needed a lot more rain for that to happen. We stayed 4 nights and were able to use our generator on quiet mode without disturbing anyone, as we were positioned far enough away from others. We had our own gazebo to spend the days in, though one was available to hire if needed. Fresh drinking water was available. On the last sunny day we fed the goats — the kids (16 & 10) loved it. Some were very food-orientated, some shy, and some happy for pats. Shops are only 10 minutes away with most essentials, food options, and a dump point. There’s a decent-sized fireplace, which we kept going even during light to moderate rain. The night before we left the sky cleared and the Milky Way was visible — so many stars, it was beautiful. Even though it mostly rained during our stay, our family loved it and will definitely come back.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Guffy Acres Farm. The campsites were clean and well spaced, making you feel as though you had your own private piece of countryside to relax and admire. Andrew, the owner, was extremely responsive to messages and very accommodating throughout our stay. While we were there, they had recently hatched some chicks, which he kindly showed to our two young children. Feeding the goats was definitely one of the highlights — they are incredibly friendly, and even my three year old felt confident feeding them through the fence. We wish Andrew and his partner all the best and will certainly be returning when we have the opportunity. Thank you for an amazing stay.

A perfectly peaceful retreat to relax amongst the trees and enjoy the bird life, wallabies, and nature. Andrew was the perfect host greeting us upon arrival and left us to do our thing. Thank you Andrew.

We loved Guffy Acres. The hosts were so friendly and the property beautiful. Andy took the kids to feed the goats, we walked the property to see the cows and dam. Amazing stars at night. Lovely region, visited Art of Krupunski Winery, local breweries, swimming at Stanthorpe Pool and day trips to Storm King dam. Highly recommend

Great setup. Sites are far away from one another. Plenty of wildlife. Enjoyed the ferry wrens and wallaby's. Easy to get to, only 15 minutes to Stanthorpe.

Andrew was such a lovely host and his property is beautiful. The site was very private and well kept. It’s the perfect little getaway to have a campfire, enjoy the sunset and have a quiet night under the stars! I would highly recommend this spot, we can’t wait to come back!

The moment we pulled in, we both just went wow! The flowers were absolutely beautiful and instantly made the whole place feel calm and welcoming. The campsite was super private, quiet, and really easy to access. Such a peaceful little pocket, and our dog was living her best life exploring the space. And the host, honestly, such a standout. Friendly, easygoing, really accommodating… and a bit mysterious and handsome, which didn’t hurt the overall vibe at all! We loved our stay and would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxed, nature-filled escape.

Had a fantastic stay over by the dam. The goat feeding was a very fun and unique experience you can tell Andrew cares for his animals and land. Would highly recommend for anyone stopping in Stanthorpe. Was shown where I’d be camping and felt like I had the entire place to myself. Will be coming back again!

We stayed on Site 4 which was perfect for us. Totally private with no drive through traffic, lovely shady trees, firewood to forage, flat (enough) land that could fit a heap of people and close to everything we wanted to explore. The hosts were lovely and helpful. There was lots of room to walk around and check out the goats.

Guffy Acres is in the perfect spot for a trip to the area for visiting wineries. Centrally located, Andrew was welcoming and very helpful. The site easy to access, level, and protected from wind gusts. We enjoyed our time immensely.

Beautiful spot amongst the trees looking out over paddocks in the valley. The site was well maintained and Andrew was very welcoming, meeting us on arrival and showing us around. Would stay here again, very quiet spot yet so central to all the attractions south of Stanthorpe.
