There are many popular wineries in the region, three of which have wonderful restaurant meals.
13 minutes drive going south, is the much-loved federation town of Tenterfield - with appealing cafes, clothes shops, country outfitters, the famous Tenterfield Saddlery and a cinema which seats about 50, a railway museum, a stylish yet friendly Commercial Hotel for eating out and a historic café where federation was called into being by Henry Parkes. Direct access to the neighbouring National Parks and State Forests offers an array of day trips to hikers, mountain bikers, or horse riders where they can discover the natural treasures of Basket Swamp and Boonoo Boonoo Falls, Woolool Woolooni, among others.
For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done.
Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided.
Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart.
As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. Please read the listing for the campsite you are wanting to book. Some of our sites do not suit caravans. All roads require high clearance vans.
If you do not like dogs or your own dogs are not very sociable Mindoo may not be the place for you. Daisy the Doodle (Golden Retriever/Poodle) and Paul the Pig Dog (a very gentle Bull Mastif/Catahoula) like to come and say hello to campers at The Park & The Junction.

Callemondah is Aboriginal for "Many Hills" and the Farm is an Aussie Whites Sheep Stud Farm featuring also cattle, horses, pigs and chickens.
Callemondah Bush Stay Camping area overlooks a picturesque waterhole and a creek with great stands of gum trees spaced throughout a park like setting.
There are fire pits to cook your food with and to have a campfire, just ask for a load of firewood from Farmer Norm.
We have toilets but no showers yet and we have new undercover shelters for everyone.
The farm is a scenic mixture of wide open grazing fields and areas of native bushland which features native bird life and wildlife such as cockatoos, black cockatoos, galahs, crows, mapgies, kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and more.
The Rosenthal creek meanders through Callemondah Farm which is very beautiful and makes for a lovely walk or to sit beside and create a painting.
You can go for an amble throughout the farm or do a larger hike and take in the spectacular views from the various high points. (by arrangement only)
Breeding Stud Sheep and beef cattle are the main agricultural activity on the Farm and there are pigs in the newly built piggery, poultry, farm dogs, horses and other farm animals featured.
You can drive into Warwick which is only 5 minutes away, go for a country drive or take a trip to Stanthorpe, Allora, Yangan and other towns for the day or to visit markets and events.
We can hold and cater for functions such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings and Corporate Outdoor and Team building Functions.
You can also bring your horse/s on planned events and ride through the paddocks and hills of Callemondah Farm.
We do allow dogs that must remain on a leash at all times.
There are various National Parks you can visit to go hiking and we can organize Archery, horse riding and other activities in the local area for you and your family.

Sometimes we have pig hunters . They are down the back. Away from campers for your safety. When they are present some areas on photos are not accessable.

If no piggers, the whole 2500 acres is yours to explore.
If it rains, or you arrive too late to set up, we have a spare bed room with a double bunk sleeps 2 adjoining the shed near house $30.

You can also sleep in the shearing shed. And look at the equipent and fill a bag of manure for your garden.
We have a few freindly sheep. And you can toss your food scraps to our chooks.

Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided.
Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart.
As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. Breeding Stud Sheep and beef cattle are the main agricultural activity on the Farm and there are pigs in the newly built piggery, poultry, farm dogs, horses and other farm animals featured.
You can drive into Warwick which is only 5 minutes away, go for a country drive or take a trip to Stanthorpe, Allora, Yangan and other towns for the day or to visit markets and events.
We can hold and cater for functions such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings and Corporate Outdoor and Team building Functions.
You can also bring your horse/s on planned events and ride through the paddocks and hills of Callemondah Farm.

Located 70kms from the Granite Belt. 50kms from the Coolmunda dam and 60kms from Texas. Quiet, hills with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
This is a grazing property where you can obseve sheep, cattle, and roos, and if you are lucky a few emus.
In the little dams and ponds they drink from you often see ducks and other waterfowl.
Gullies with ankle-deep spring-fed seasonal creeks. Are scattered thoughout the property. Pleasant to walk along, many accessed by walking or 4wd track only.
Trail bikes or pushbikes welcome.
There are great areas to hike, explore, and birdwatch. There is no light pollution so you see the amazing display of stars at night.
At the top of each hill is a pleasant view. Nice photos to show off on fb or instagram.
Campfires permitted, please make sure you put them out when not attended.
Water container top-up, shower, and toilet shed available And a power point to charge phone.
No internet. But if you must contact someone, do see us at the house.
We now have bush dunnies at various locations. They are long drops.
You're welcome to bring your pet, but please ensure they are kept on leash
To camp, most people just chose a cleared spot. Popular areas are near the sheaing shed, or emu hollow.
Sometimes we have pig hunters . They are down the back. Away from campers for your safety. When they are present some areas on photos are not accessable.
Accessable at all times:-
House paddock. shearing shed toilets showers, small dam. Hill with a view.
Emu Hollow, accessable by high clearence 2wd .it is in a paddock wih pleasnt views and down the bottom is small shallow pleasant creek to sit by and watch cows grazing . Great for a family group or couple to escape the city madness. it has a long drop dunny.
Both are 300 acres.
If no piggers, the whole 2500 acres is yours to explore.
If it rains, or you arrive too late to set up, we have a spare bed room with a double bunk sleeps 2 adjoining the shed near house $30.
per night to use.
You can also sleep in the shearing shed. And look at the equipent and fill a bag of manure for your garden.
We have a few freindly sheep. And you can toss your food scraps to our chooks.

Offering peace, tranquility, abundance of wildlife and complete privacy.
Enjoy camping beside the beautiful McIntyre Brook which is suitable for both swimming and kayaking or just kick back relax unwind and let nature work its magic.
We currently only offer one campsite so you have the place all to yourself. Guests will have access to a portable toilet throughout their stay.
Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided but please ensure you check any restrictions before lighting a fire.
For complete solitude, there is no phone reception at campsite

Stayed a few nights in a cabin, the bird and running water sounds of the river made it so peaceful. Sat by a fire and enjoyed the stars, swam in the rapids, just a Great place to get away from it all! BACK TO NATURE!! The property was well maintained and hosts very helpful, we are grateful to you both for sharing your lovely piece of the Clarence with us, Cheers, Steve, Peter and Dan.

We’ve stayed at Farrup twice in the past twelve months and you better believe we’ll be back AGAIN.
Spectacular private site to be enjoyed whether there’s 4 or 14 of you (we’ve now tried it with both!), with great views, facilities, and peace & quiet.

Couldn’t have asked for a better over night stay! My 2 dogs loved having the place to themselves and watching the goats climb the rock face (we did too) it was so peaceful and not having to worry about camping neighbours was a plus. The portaloo was an added bonus too. Neat and tidy campsite and the host was amazing. We will be back!!

This is a beautiful place, we were alone there in a huge paddock with lots of spots to choose from right next to Bluff Rock. The ground is reasonably level and good. Some cows were nearby in taller grass.

Spectacular camp sites, views all round, wildlife and quiet!
As people that live in the bush we just loved this spot, it's everything you want for a get away from it all.
Brilliant hosts left us wood for our fire and share the magic of their land.
We will definitely be back to this spot. Highly recommend!

I can see why these places gets such good reviews.
I had excellent communication from the host. The camp was easy to find and in the perfect location for visiting Girraween National Park.
The hot shower and free fire wood was a bonus.
The views through the gate overlooking the sunset were stunning.
I thought the visitor book was a nice touch.
Best campsite I've been to so far.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Montview winery, the camping was peaceful overlooking the vines and we were lucky enough to see kangaroos. We’d opted to stay here because it’s situated along the beautiful Stanthorpe to Ballandean bike trail, an added bonus was the wine tasting! Showers and toilet block as well. We’ll be back to cycle on the trail in the opposite direction!

Weekend Trip to Glenelg Station
The Drover cabin is really special. After a few cold beers in the cooling summer afternoon. Scrubbing yourself clean in the bathtub among the gumtrees and local fauna is truly a peaceful experience. It was wasn’t too hot at night and a fan was provided and already turned on when we arrived.
A fridge, gas stove, hot water as well all the basic things like coffee and pots and pans. It really was a very easy and care free experience.
Reminiscent of a Wild West tv show, sitting on the deck with a book as the light faded, it was like stepping back in time. Old whips, saddle parts, books and many other old trinkets and quirks the more you looked the more you found.
Cozy and romantic for couples and a real intriguing stay for history geeks. Absolutely loved it.

Absolutely unreal place to spend a few nights. We stayed over the Australia Day long weekend with a few groups of friends, and every single one of us agreed we’ll be back. It’s the perfect spot to sit back and relax all day, listening to the bird life and the wind moving through the trees.
The sunsets are phenomenal, and the stargazing out on the rock at night is stunning. Having a toilet and shower on-site is a massive bonus and really adds to the comfort of the place. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
