The Loft Haven Meadows is located as part of approximately 75 acres of which approximately 7 acres are cleared the rest is natural Australian bushland and forested countryside and is very similar to the National Park. Looking for a bit of space away from everyone or just to take a breath? This is an ideal sanctuary of tranquillity and privacy. It's the go-to location to provide you with a getaway to relax and also enjoy all the amenities the area provides. A place to put your feet up and relax and feel comfortable and at the same time providing space for you to stroll in the cool of an evening or sit around gazing at the stars without the concerns of driving to another location. An ideal place to sit during the day or evening, drinking your coffee or sipping a wine while you enjoy a good book, play a game watch the sunset of the evening and subsequently the stars on a clear night or simply see the local wildlife early in the morning as they explore the grassed areas within metres of the house. The Loft Haven is perfect for families (not young children) or two couples. You MUST be self-contained as there are NO on site Toilet or Shower Facilities if you are not Please do not book. There is plenty of free firewood to use on those cool evenings or even on a pleasant evening when you just want to sit around a fire. (At certain times outdoor fires may be restricted due to local fire safety requirements.) We recommend bringing warm clothes in the Autumn and Winter months as the region is known for falling below zero on some evenings with frosts and some years even having light fall of snow. The Perfect Place for a Getaway, whether just for the weekend or longer, from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Wyberber valley, within minutes you can drive to drive discover Girraween National Park which is home to an array of lifelike granite sculptures and eucalypt forest rich in some of Australia’s most appealing plant and animal life. Go for a swim in the natural water holes and rock pools. Nestled in the granite belt wine country you will find many cellar doors within a few kilometres drive. We are within minutes of the Girraween National Park and also pleasant drives to numerous national parks etc eg Mount Norman, Bald Rock National Park, Boonoo Boonoo National Park, Basket Swamp National Park and the Sundown National Park all within easy reach and great places for a day out of exploration. Within 15 minutes you can obtain various supplies or food from the Ballandean general store, the Ballandean Tavern, Saint Jude’s Cafe and restaurant and also to the south of us the Wallangarra general store. Wallangarra General store also make country pizzas on a Friday night. Provisions can also be obtained from the general shops and supermarkets in Stanthorpe or Tenterfield both of which are approximately 20-minute drive North or South of our location. There are more than 50 Wineries in this region, and every taste is catered for whether you prefer Red or white. There is also a specialist distillery where you can sample and purchase many liqueurs. (The Castle) You can simply relax and enjoy the property which is surrounded by our beautiful wildlife; we have a wide variety of birds, wallabies, Kangaroos, lizards, turtles, ducks and random sightings of deer and bunnies. or Enjoy the many activities available: - Take a tour and enjoy tastings at some of Queensland’s most awarded wineries, and olive groves, visit the lavender farm, the soap factory, the cheese factory, juice farms Bush walks, swimming holes, Restaurants, Wine tasting, Wildflower walks, Fossicking, Antiques, Art, picking strawberries (seasonal) etc. Cold winters mean can enjoy times around the fire, frosts and the occasional snow as well as the Snowflakes in Stanthorpe Festival, Christmas in July and also the Jumpers and Jazz Festival.

The Loft Haven - Maple
We stayed two nights at the Maple site at Loft Haven Meadows with our two kids and camper trailer - a lovely start to our road trip. Brian was an easygoing host, and it was a great base for exploring the Granite Belt. We fitted in a Girraween hike, visits to Stanthorpe Cheese and Sutton’s, and an afternoon at Balancing Heart Winery. Heavenly Chocolate was also conveniently close by! Being picked up and dropped back at camp by the winery bus was a real bonus. Finding a level spot can take a little effort, so be sure to bring levelling ramps if your setup needs them. Unfortunately, the dry, windy conditions and fire warnings in the area meant we couldn’t have a campfire during our stay. It was chilly overnight too, so remember the warm bedding. Overall, a great spot for combining camping with the food, wine and walks around Stanthorpe and Girraween.

We had a wonderful stay at this campsite. The location is perfect for anyone visiting the Girraween national park, as it's just a short trip away. Brian, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. The site is clean, well-maintained and tidy. We'll happily recommend it.

Peacful and Cental - Great Place!
The Loft Haven - Maple
Peaceful and central location. We had a great time staying at the Loft, the site was large with a beauitful view of a stunning rock formation. The location was central to multiple wineries and the chocolate shop! Brain greeted us on arrival to show us around and was super friendly and welcoming.

We loved the peace and quiet of the place. You are near the road but after dark there is very little traffic. It is very close drive to giraween national park. The sites have a slight slope to them so you need to have chocks to set yourself up. The owner was lovely and met us at the entrance to the property and took us to our location. If you are wanting to be close to the NP and have a site to yourself this is a great location.

We absolutely loved camping at The Loft Haven. What a treat!! Brian was a wonderful host, kind, helpful and accommodating to our needs. The kangaroos waltzing by, the birdlife, the peace, the wide open space, the serenity… it was bliss! Just 5 mins from the Giraween National Park. We had the best time, only down fall was we didn’t stay longer… we will be back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us Brian.

Absolutely fantastic spot and so close to the National Park for day hiking and exploring the local wineries. Anyone looking for a unique weekend outside Brisbane with amazing sky views, this is the spot. Brian was lovely, accomodating and understanding when we had to cut our trip short.

Huge site! Situated right next to an awesome little valley full of stanthorpe granite boulders and an array of native plants. Brian was an excellent host, made sure we were happy with the site and provided valuable information about the site and the environment surrounding it. Will be back for another hiking weekend :)

We loved our stay at The Loft. Plenty of room for our caravan. Great place to relax and enjoy sitting around the campfire and watch the local wildlife. It is also perfectly situated to visit Giraween NP and enjoy the walks there.

Loft Haven is a fantastic campsite. Meticulously maintained and the host Brian was a genuine legend. The camp is is only 5 mins drive from the Girraween national park, walking distance of heavenly chocolate (run by a truely lovely couple) and 10 mins drive from hands down the best winery in the granite belt, The Balancing Heart. Can’t wait to get back there. Remember the chainsaw ! Plenty of deadwood available and camping is just not camping without a fire !!

This is a great southern Granite Belt location handy to national parks, many wineries and food outlets. Close access to main road and very easy to get to. For caravans and campervans, bring your levelling ramps and you will be assured of a comfy, sce ic camp.

Brian's property is excellently located for anyone wanting to visit the National Park or any of the local wineries. Property is well maintained and spacious with heaps of room between sites. Brian was very communicative and helpful with instructions and checking in. Would definitely stay again!

This property is a Great Alternative to Camping at the Kambuwal Camping Area at Girraween National Park. Sure there are no Toilets or Power Available but if your self Sufficient this is not a problem. Brain was very helpful when checking in. My only comment was it would be nice if there was a bit more flat ground to park a Caravan. Other than that I would recommend this site.

We had a great stay at the loft haven. Beautiful property with nice grassy camp sites. Private camp areas each with their own fire pits. Brian is a fantastic host. Only a couple of mins drive to girraween Np. Would highly recommend.

Mid Willow Maple
We loved camping at Loft Haven Meadows. The setting is beautiful, with lovely views of the rolling hills and plenty of birds, microbats and kangaroos to watch. We had lots of room to ourselves, free firewood and potable water close by. Brian is always up for a chat and made us (a queer couple) feel very welcome 🌈 we can't wait to visit again in wildflower season.

Nice quiet peaceful spot, well kept and maintained, nice spots for campfires, plenty of wood around as well. The terrain is undulating so if you’ve got a caravan you’ll possibly need to do some minor levelling, Brian was very helpful in guiding us to the most suitable spot though.
