Dalmoak Bush Retreat is located just 15 minutes from Stanthorpe on a very quiet country road. This is working a cattle and sheep property.
The property is 3000 acres of a mixture of open grazing land and moderately timbered to heavily timbered land. The land ranges from reasonably flat areas to undulating areas, there is also quite steep rocky areas which if you venture up on foot will reward you with spectacular views.
It is the ideal spot for getting away from the rat race and just relaxing under the stars. We have slashed a number of spacious areas where camping is allowed and are continually developing the sites for camper comfort.
Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
In the surrounding area you can go for a walk, ride your push bike and also enjoy looking at the stars at night around your campfire (no light pollution here).
Please note there are 2 dams close by therefore parental supervision of small children required.
Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times to protect our livestock. Please clean up after your pets.

Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm.
We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park.
Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile.
There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied.
We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask.
We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag.
We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs.
We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender.
If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows.
We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

The terrain is mostly treed with some cleared, pastured country.
On the border with the Queensland town of Stanthorpe, Stonepine Ridge is close to the historic areas of Willsons Downfall and Amosfield in New South Wales. Home to many rivers that traverse the property from top to bottom, the Boonoo Boonoo and Bookookookarara rivers and Undercliffe and Boonoo Boono Falls are close by and are popular sites to spend a few hours walking/hiking and immersing yourself in the ambient countryside.
The Boonoo Boonoo and Bald rock National Parks are also within this area. The beautiful New England town of Tenterfield is about 20 minutes drive from the falls and offers visitors many shopping and restaurant options. Be sure to stop en route to visit the World War 2 tank traps - (Australia's Maginot Line) and Thunderbolt's hideout. A short drive across the border into Queensland will give you access to the Girraween National Park and a host of wineries, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs.
This camping property is large and you will find no better place that allows for gentle as well as more advanced walking, hiking and mountain biking. The altitude on the property varies from 900m at the top down to 50m to the bottom. The temperature is variable with mostly cool nights, which makes for restful sleep and a nice fire to add to the ambience.

I have 8 sites at the moment each one is in a open bushland setting with lovely views, no site is within 100 meters of another and each one has a different view with lots of privacy, and all Dog and Kid friendly, shallow water, and deep water for swimming or kayaking , creeks, animals to feed and heaps of room to run and play.
Adult friendly, huge sites for big groups and plenty of space, great swimming and lots of things to here and in the surrounding areas.
Some sites are more suited to Caravans as the access is better and some are better suited to campers / 4WD but all can be accessed with a regular car. We have NO road frontage so sites are private, quiet and safe and only 3ks off the New England Highway.
All campers MUST bring their own Chemical toilet and shower facilities. A small rest room and shower is available in case of emergency only
I run a working farm raising Sheep and Lambs, Chickens, Ducks, Horses, Donkeys, Vegies, Preserves and Jams. Farm produce is available on request and availability, eg Free range eggs , farm raised Lamb, locally sourced Bacon for the BBQ , and seasonal vegetables, jams and chutneys.

This area also includes a small number of powered sites
* TOP CAMP.. This open area is approximately another 150 metres up the hill from from midcamp, overlooking both Mid & Rivercamps, with 360deg views, has 3 large flat sites. plus many more dispersed sites, also suitable for all types of camping vehicles

Campers are encouraged to meander along the continually changing River and explore its many secluded swimming holes and enjoy the abundant wildlife that cohabitates with the Angus/Wagyu cow herd. Direct access to the neighbouring National Parks and State Forests offers an array of day trips to hikers, mountain bikers, or horse riders where they can discover the natural treasures of Basket Swamp and Boonoo Boonoo Falls, Woolool Woolooni, among others.
For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done.
Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided.
Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart.
As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. Please read the listing for the campsite you are wanting to book. Some of our sites do not suit caravans. All roads require high clearance vans.
If you do not like dogs or your own dogs are not very sociable Mindoo may not be the place for you. Daisy the Doodle (Golden Retriever/Poodle) and Paul the Pig Dog (a very gentle Bull Mastif/Catahoula) like to come and say hello to campers at The Park & The Junction.

Callemondah Camping is a new designated camping area that overlooks a picturesque waterhole and park like setting.
There are fire pits to cook your food with and to have a campfire, just ask for a load of firewood or book it through Hipcamp here.
We can hold and cater for functions such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings and Corporate Outdoor and Team building Functions.

The farm is a scenic mixture of wide open grazing fields and areas of native bushland which features native bird life and wildlife such as cockatoos, black cockatoos, galahs, crows, mapgies, kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and more.
The Rosenthal creek meanders through Callemondah Farm which is very beautiful and makes for a lovely walk or to sit beside and create a painting.

Breeding Stud Sheep is the main agricultural activity on the Farm and there are pigs in the newly built piggery, poultry, farm dogs, horses and other farm animals featured.
You can drive into Warwick which is only 5 minutes away, go for a country drive or take a trip to Stanthorpe, Allora, Yangan and other towns for the day or to visit markets and events.
There are various National Parks you can visit to go hiking and we can organize horse riding and other activities for you and your family.

Gullies with ankle-deep spring-fed seasonal creeks. Are scattered thoughout the property. Pleasant to walk along, many accessed by walking or 4wd track only.
Trail bikes or pushbikes welcome.
There are great areas to hike, explore, and birdwatch. There is no light pollution so you see the amazing display of stars at night.
At the top of each hill is a pleasant view. Nice photos to show off on fb or instagram.

If no piggers, the whole 2500 acres is yours to explore.
If it rains, or you arrive too late to set up, we have a spare bed room with a double bunk sleeps 2 adjoining the shed near house $30.

You can also sleep in the shearing shed. And look at the equipent and fill a bag of manure for your garden.

Dogs, men's best friend, are definitely welcome. But if your dog is not friendly or is likely to venture into someone else camping area, than will have to be on a leash.
If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them.
One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities.
Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m high waterfall, nature at it's best. In the vicinity you have the Clarence river at Paddy's Flat Road and Hootons Road within minutes drive from the property.
The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road.
Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away.
Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km.
Once a working cattle property, in 1993 was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise.
Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property.
The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park.
Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile.
There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied.
We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask.

We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender.
If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows.
We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

This camping property is large and you will find no better place that allows for gentle as well as more advanced walking, hiking and mountain biking. The altitude on the property varies from 900m at the top down to 50m to the bottom. For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done.
Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided.
Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart.
As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. Please read the listing for the campsite you are wanting to book. Some of our sites do not suit caravans. All roads require high clearance vans.

There are various National Parks you can visit to go hiking and we can organize horse riding and other activities for you and your family.

In the little dams and ponds they drink from you often see ducks and other waterfowl.
Gullies with ankle-deep spring-fed seasonal creeks. Are scattered thoughout the property. Pleasant to walk along, many accessed by walking or 4wd track only.
Trail bikes or pushbikes welcome.
There are great areas to hike, explore, and birdwatch. There is no light pollution so you see the amazing display of stars at night.
At the top of each hill is a pleasant view. Nice photos to show off on fb or instagram.
Campfires permitted, please make sure you put them out when not attended.

To camp, most people just chose a cleared spot. Popular areas are near the sheaing shed, or emu hollow.
Sometimes we have pig hunters . They are down the back. Away from campers for your safety. When they are present some areas on photos are not accessable.

Emu Hollow, accessable by high clearence 2wd .it is in a paddock wih pleasnt views and down the bottom is small shallow pleasant creek to sit by and watch cows grazing . Great for a family group or couple to escape the city madness. it has a long drop dunny.
Both are 300 acres.
If no piggers, the whole 2500 acres is yours to explore.
If it rains, or you arrive too late to set up, we have a spare bed room with a double bunk sleeps 2 adjoining the shed near house $30.
per night to use.
You can also sleep in the shearing shed. And look at the equipent and fill a bag of manure for your garden.
We have a few freindly sheep. And you can toss your food scraps to our chooks.

Welcome to Emu creek Retreat
One of the best destinations for hiking, camping, bushwalking, swimming, Kayaking, fishing, mountain bike riding (bicycles only), bird watching, 4wdriving and even fossicking.,
Dogs, men's best friend, are definitely welcome. But if your dog is not friendly or is likely to venture into someone else camping area, than will have to be on a leash.
If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them.
One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities.
Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m high waterfall, nature at it's best. In the vicinity you have the Clarence river at Paddy's Flat Road and Hootons Road within minutes drive from the property.
The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road.
Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away.
Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km.
Once a working cattle property, in 1993 was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise.
Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property.
The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

We were a last-minute booking and arrived later than expected, but Andrew was very patient and easygoing. Andrew and his partner were both kind and relaxed — we didn’t see her much, but the interactions we had were lovely.
Our site was near the dam. Because of the rain we didn’t get to swim, but the site was spacious and well away from other campers. We could see the house in the distance, though it still felt like we had the place to ourselves. Andrew let us know that if the rain became too much and our tent flooded, he’d help us move things — though the site handled it well and it would’ve needed a lot more rain for that to happen.
We stayed 4 nights and were able to use our generator on quiet mode without disturbing anyone, as we were positioned far enough away from others.
We had our own gazebo to spend the days in, though one was available to hire if needed. Fresh drinking water was available. On the last sunny day we fed the goats — the kids (16 & 10) loved it. Some were very food-orientated, some shy, and some happy for pats.
Shops are only 10 minutes away with most essentials, food options, and a dump point.
There’s a decent-sized fireplace, which we kept going even during light to moderate rain. The night before we left the sky cleared and the Milky Way was visible — so many stars, it was beautiful.
Even though it mostly rained during our stay, our family loved it and will definitely come back.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Guffy Acres Farm. The campsites were clean and well spaced, making you feel as though you had your own private piece of countryside to relax and admire.
Andrew, the owner, was extremely responsive to messages and very accommodating throughout our stay. While we were there, they had recently hatched some chicks, which he kindly showed to our two young children. Feeding the goats was definitely one of the highlights — they are incredibly friendly, and even my three year old felt confident feeding them through the fence.
We wish Andrew and his partner all the best and will certainly be returning when we have the opportunity.

We stayed on Kendall's lovely rural property with our caravan and 2 dogs for a night on a road trip home recently. Our contact with Kendall was perfect as was the location...alongside a dam where except for some drizzle we would have had a fire. The location is peaceful and quiet...exactly what we were seeking. We have a 24' van and had not problem accessing the camping area. Highly recommended.

Weekend Trip to Glenelg Station
The Drover cabin is really special. After a few cold beers in the cooling summer afternoon. Scrubbing yourself clean in the bathtub among the gumtrees and local fauna is truly a peaceful experience. It was wasn’t too hot at night and a fan was provided and already turned on when we arrived.
A fridge, gas stove, hot water as well all the basic things like coffee and pots and pans. It really was a very easy and care free experience.
Reminiscent of a Wild West tv show, sitting on the deck with a book as the light faded, it was like stepping back in time. Old whips, saddle parts, books and many other old trinkets and quirks the more you looked the more you found.
Cozy and romantic for couples and a real intriguing stay for history geeks. Absolutely loved it.

We stayed here over the Australia Day long weekend and absolutely loved it. The grounds are very spacious and beautifully maintained, with toilets and bins conveniently located throughout. Cooling off in the creek was a real highlight.
For owners of fluffy doggos, I’d recommend bringing a brush and some scissors, as there are quite a few cleaver burrs around the area we stayed in. The host was very friendly and communication was easy and seamless. We will be back!
